Author's Note:
I hope everyone likes this little piece - it's sort of out of nowhere, but I love Moulin Rouge and I love Draco/Ginny, so why not? It's fun.

Ginny Weasley stormed angrily through the oak front doors and onto the grounds, her hair flying behind her and her eyes flashing.

"Ginny!"

She didn't turn around, but merely waved her hand as if to shoo him away.

"Ginny! Wait!"

"Leave me alone!"

Ginny broke into a run towards the lake as Draco followed her, panting to keep up. Their figures cast long shadows across the sloping grounds as the sun set behind the trees.

"Ginny!"

She slowed down slightly and allowed him to catch up with her.

"Ginny," Draco said, clutching a stitch in his side. "Hold on, will you stop?"

She gritted her teeth and reluctantly sat down on the grass. He did the same. "What?"

"Let me explain, okay?" Draco looked with slight fear at her bright red face.

"Okay." She just stared at him.

"Okay," he said, still trying to catch his breath. "Look, I know... well, the only... your stupid blood traitor brother started it!"

Ginny opened her mouth in protest. "There you go again!"

"What?"

"Insulting my family. Insulting me!" she exclaimed, standing up again and throwing her arms into the air.

"No," Draco said, standing and fighting to remain calm, "I said something about your brother, but not you."

"If you call Ron a blood traitor, you're calling me one too!"

"But Ginny--"

"No, listen!" she said, her voice raising. "You think you just can go ahead and insult my family and everything we believe in, but you're just a ridiculous, overzealous--"

Draco bit his lip and thought of the only way he could shut her up. And no, not kissing her - that never really works, he tried it last time and she bit him.

There was no other way to surprise her into silence.

"--idiotic, disgusting--"

Draco opened his mouth and shut it again, still trying to think of something else, but there was only one way.

"--pompous son of a--"

"My gift is my song!" Draco sang loudly. It worked - Ginny closed her mouth in surprise. He smiled slightly. "And this one's for you."

"And you can tell everybody that this is your song. It may be quite simple, but, now that it's done, I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind, that I put down in words... how wonderful life is, now you're in the world..."

He smiled a little wider as she continued to watch him in surprised disbelief.

"Sat on the roof, and I kicked off the moss," he sang, gesturing at the castle behind them. "Some of these verses, well, they... they got me quite cross. But the sun's been kind, while I wrote this song. It's for people like you that keep it turned on," he added.

She smiled and came closer. He took her hands.

"Now excuse me for forgetting, but these things I do: you see, I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue," he said. Actually, they were hazel, but that's how the song went. "But anyway the thing is, what I really mean, yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen!"

And, with that, he began to spin her around as she laughed and they danced.

"And you can tell everybody that this is your song," he sang, dancing with her. "It may be quite simple, but, now that it's done..."

He stopped spinning her and they stood there. "I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind, that I put down in words... how wonderful life is now you're in the world!"

He spun her around one last time before picking her up and setting her back on her feet again. Then he just smiled and waited to see if it had worked.

"Draco," she said, "That was... really, really... well, it was good."

He was surprised. "Really?"

"Yeah," Ginny said, smiling broadly now. "Where did you learn that?"

"Oh, er..." he'd hope she wouldn't ask him that. "Well, my mother thought I should be well-rounded... so, I took... singing lessons."

"Really."

He nodded, avoiding her eyes as he knew a smirk was growing on her face.

"You know what?"

"What?" he asked.

She grinned. "It's kind of sexy."

He was taken aback. "It is? I mean, of course - what else were you expecting?"

She took his hand as they started walking back up to the castle - the sun was almost completely gone now.

"Oh, and that dancing..." she said, sighing blissfully. As the walked up to the castle, she sighed again. "I don't even remember why I was mad at you."

"Oh, it was because--" he paused.

"Neither do I!"

Author notes: Did you like it? Then review! Did you not like it? Still review! Otherwise, how am I supposed to know if I should write more things like this? I mean, if you took the time to read the fic, you can type a few words about it, right?
Anyway, I hope you did like it. :-)
