Close your eyes
Give me your hand

"Hi beautiful," his voice spoke beside her ear. "Dance with me?"

Standing, she obliged and they swayed on the dance floor, locked together in an embrace. His arms were placed gently on the small of her back while hers looped themselves over his shoulder as they moved.

Their song came on then, and she smiled at him as the familiar lyrics washed over them. Their eyes were locked on each other, barely noticing the other couples that were dancing beside them, all with similar looks in their eyes.

Darling, do you feel
My heart beating?

Do you understand?
Do you feel the same

They stared at each other, feeling their hearts beating as one, love surrounding them. There was no need for words, as they understood each other completely that moment. All the emotions they had for each other were clearly shown in their eyes, flickering, dancing.

Or am I only dreaming?
Is this burning?
An eternal flame

The dance floor had emptied by then as everyone turned to look at them dance. Their friends smiled, happy for them that they had finally found the life they had always wanted. The two of them fitted perfectly, as if they were made for each other.

I believe it's meant to be darling
I watch you when you're sleeping
You belong with me
Do you feel the same
Or am I only dreaming?

The two of them had had gone through so much together, with Ron, their best friend. It seemed only fitting that they were now with each other.

Even though in their sixth year Ginny and Harry had dated, and Hermione and Ron briefly in their seventh year, they had both known that there was something lacking. In their hearts they waited for their true love. And two years after their graduation, Harry and Hermione had finally found each other.

Or is this burning (burning)?
An eternal flame

It was a tragedy that had first brought them together. As they cried together, holding each other, they realized that the other had always been there for them. Harry and Hermione healed together, until finally the pain diminished and love overtook all emotions.

Say my name
Sun shines through the rain
Of all life so lonely
Then come and ease the pain
I don't want to lose this feeling

A year ago when the two finally announced their engagement, the wizarding world celebrated for them. Through all the difficult times, the two had stuck with each other, and the announcement had come as no surprise. It did not take much to know that the two of them truly needed each other, and that no one could ever damage their friendship and love.

Say my name
Sun shines through the rain
Of all life so lonely
Then come and ease the pain
I don't want to lose this feeling

Mr. and Mrs. Granger smiled as they watched their beautiful daughter swirling across the dance floor with her husband. They were proud of her, truly elated that she had found true love at last. Mrs. Granger leaned in to her husband, whispering softly, "I always knew he was the one for her."

Her husband smiled at her, and their love for each other shone even then, still evident after decades together.

Close your eyes
Give me your hand, darling
Do you feel my heart beating?
Do you understand?
Do you feel the same
Am I only dreaming?

As the song drew to a close, Hermione and Harry gradually stopped dancing, and there in the room full of their guests, the bride and groom kissed blissfully. A loud cheer and clapping erupted from the room as Harry grinned, releasing her.

"I love you, Harry," Hermione spoke.

"I love you too, my Hermione," Harry said, gently as the rest of the couples joined them.

Their life together was finally starting. While they might not live happily ever after, with the threat of darkness still looming dangerously near. But they were truly happy, and with each other. That was all that mattered then.
