Anything for Love

Hermione Granger sat in History of Magic copying down notes swiftly, glancing at Ronald Weasley once or twice before retreating back to her notes. Pathetic she thought. Again he's drawing and playing around instead of copying down really important notes! He's kinda cute when his hair falls like that ever so softly onto his f-- WHAT? Hermione quickly shook her head and started copying down notes again, but something was still disturbing her concentration: I wonder if he likes me back... She kept copying down notes, trying to keep her concentration on the classwork not Ron.

Hermione quickly looked up in horror. Had she just written: 'Not until she... fell in love with Ronald Weasley, did I try to get closer to him and do crazy things to get him to love me'? Hermione sat back and closed her eyes, thinking. Did she really mean what she had written? Hermione quickly skimmed to the last few words: ...did I try to get closer to him and do crazy things to get him to love me... Hermione sat up 'to get him to love me--'.

"Hermione, what's wrong?" someone said.

Hermione looked up quickly. Ron. Ron was asking her if she had a problem. No, Ron always said that, it was only Ron after all or...?

"Hermione, are you okay, the bell just rang!" Hermione looked up and saw that everyone had already left.

"Sorry," she muttered as she grabbed her bag and followed Ron.

"So uh... where's-- where's Harry? I haven't seen him all day!" Hermione asked blushing.

"What? Oh-- oh, Harry! He's just-- he's um..." Ron looked down quickly muttering something under his breath, blushing.

"What? Sorry, didn't catch that," Hermione said etching closer to try to hear his last words.

"Hayswiginbecstheyrboygirlfrianhehaasnogfewiter," Ron said blushing even deeper.

"What--" Hermione started.

"Harry'swithGinnybecausethey'reboyfrienandgirlfriendandhe'shavingasnogfestwithher!" Ron yelled, now looking ready to pass as a tomato.

Hermione gasped.

"Did you just say that Harry's with Ginny because they're boyfriend and girlfriend and he's having a, a, a snogfest with her!" Hermione whispered back, feeling like she was about to faint.

Ron nodding, now covering his face with embarrassment.

"I can't believe Harry's with my little sister for god's sake!" Ron said angrily.

"Ron, they love each other, give them a break!" Hermione said rolling her eyes.

"How do you know? Have you ever felt that way before?" Ron asked looking at her.

"Yes, I have, for your information!" Hermione said blushing deeply.

Suddenly, she remembered the History of Magic Notes paper and the words 'try to get closer to him and do crazy things to get him to love me'. She took off at a run.

"Hey, Hermione! What's wrong, hey!" Hermione hear Ron's voice scream.

She sped off toward her dorm, threw herself onto the bed, and took out the paper.

"...Try to get closer to him and do crazy things to get him to love me... hmm..." Hermione drummed her fingers on her book bag thinking... Suddenly, an idea struck her!

"It may be risky... I might have to drop extra credit and studying hours for this but... if it does work then... I'll take the risk and challenge!" Hermione muttered these words to herself while a grin played on her lips.

She took out a sheet of parchment and wrote:

"Ginny..." Hermione muttered, her grin growing wider...
