Ron was carving lines on the wall representing how many days they have spent in hiding.  The cellar that a dozen students have been staying in had few windows that have shown nothing but red.  To some, it’s the sky.   To others, they fear it may be blood.

A scratching noise took its place at the main cellar door.  The students jumped in shock.  Now, Harry grabbed his wand to conjure up the see through spell.  The view showed Scabbers with a piece a paper attached to him.  Owls would seem too obvious during a dangerous war like this.  Harry carefully unlatched the locks on the door and he crept one door open only a few inches just enough for Scabbers to squeeze through.

When Scabbers arrives in Ron’s lap, he takes the message into his hands to read it.

The Death Eaters have entered the western boundaries.  You will be in danger, but we will arrive there to defend that area as soon as we can get though the eastern border.

                                                                                    A.D.

“Looks like we will be here a lot longer than expected, doesn’t it?”  Harry asked as he looked over Ron.

Draco stood up in an uproar.  “That does it!  We are starving, we can barely breathe in this cellar and we will all be at Voldemort’s mercy if we don’t do something about soon!”

“So Draco, what do you suggest we do, we don’t even have much time?”  Ron began to become curious.  He and Harry had a feeling that Draco’s ideas would have some sort of evil catch.

“It’s absolutely simple.”  Draco walked around the room looking into the eyes of every single person in the cellar.  “Our food supply is low.  Some of us are needed if Voldemort is to be defeated, like our Harry here.  And Voldemort is only after certain types of people to kill.  Of course, everyone thinks Harry will defeat Voldemort.  So who else does Voldemort has a desire to kill?  Muggles.  Isn’t that true...Hermoine?”

“Well...yea, so what’s your point?!”  Hermoine looked nervous and Draco knew why.

“My point is, we need to get rid of the people we don’t need to live.  Which means, you, the muggle born, has to go!”

“Me?  NO!  You can’t do that!”

“Come on everyone.  This is the only way we can get out of here alive!”

And that’s when Draco finally got the others started.  “THROW OUT THE MUGGLE!  THROW OUT THE MUGGLE!  THROW OUT THE MUGGLE!”  During the uproar Draco grabbed Hermoine’s arm and started leading her to the cellar door.  However, it was being blocked by Ron and Harry.

“Hermoine’s not going anywhere, Draco!”  Harry was standing up to him.

“She’s the smartest person here, how can you possibly throw her out?”  Ron cried out.

“You heard Draco, the muggle has to go!”  One of the students got the crowd going again.

“Forget it Draco.  Either Hermoine stays, or you won’t have me and Ron here helping you defeat Voldemort!”  Harry eyed Draco to see what he would do now.

“Fine!”  Draco threw Hermoine to the floor.  “There should be other ways to make room around here.”  Draco walked away from the threesome to a corner where he reamined until nightfall.

When everyone was asleep.  Draco was finished writing something on paper.  He folded the paper together and he wrote on the back “Mr. Lucious Malfoy”.  Quietly he called his owl and had him take the piece of paper.  “Hurry and be back before sunrise” Draco whispered to his owl.  He let his owl loose through a window.  The owl returned in a couple of hours.

The dawn came, and it was Seamus’s turn to look out the window.  He noticed some black caped persons on brooms heading toward their cellar.  “Deatheaters!  Deatheaters!  Coming this way!”  Everyone was panicking and crying, how did they find out where they were?!  Loud bangs where heard on the door.

“You know, we better hide you Harry.  You know that Voldemort’s out to destroy you!”  Draco was insistent, but he got Harry convinced that his life was in serious danger.

“He’s right Harry,” said Ron.  “We should go in the freezer.”  The rest of the students hid wherever they could.  There wasn’t enough room for Hermoine to join the two in the freezer, but she stood by because she knew that Harry had to be protected.  Harry and Ron had a warming spell to keep them warm in the freezer.

“What do you want!”  Draco cried out to who was at the door.

“We want the one you call Hermoine.  Give us her, and we will let the rest of you leave Hogwart’s unharmed.”  The voice was dark and vicious like a real deatheaters.”

“This is our chance!”  Draco grabbed Hermoine, as she was screaming.

“NOOO!  Ron.  Harry.  Help me!!”

Too bad the freezer was sound proof.

Draco, taking Hermoine, flung open the cellar doors for the first time since they have been in there.  Two Deatheaters were waiting on their brooms outside was the other fearful students were still in their hiding places.  Hermoine was roughly handed over to one of the Deatheaters.  The other was taking something from his pocket to give to Draco.

“There you are.  You and your friends are free to leave.  Just don’t dawdle!”  The Deatheaters flew away with Hermoine screaming her rage at Draco.

“Thanks, father”, Draco muttered, and he rushed back into the cellar.
