Happiness Is Just Around the Corner

It was two days before Ron and Luna's wedding. And, naturally the whole Weasley clan (including Harry and Hermione) were staying at the burrow. Harry was sharing a room with Ron, Fred and George. Due to the number of Weasley children and grandchildren, Ginny and Hermione were downstairs in the living room.

At about 10:30 everybody went to sleep. But, too excited to sleep, Ginny and Hermione decided to stay up and talk like old times. Harry, on the other hand wanted to sleep but just couldn't. Distracted by three Weasley snores and his best man's speech, he decided to go get a midnight snack. Not wanting the girls to see him in his boxers, he slipped on his invisibility cloak and went down the stairs.

Down stairs, he heard giggles and whispers coming from the living room. Peering around the railing, he saw Ginny and Hermione sitting on the floor eating fudge. He wasn't the nosy type, but he was board tonight so he sat and listened.

"So, Ginny who is this mystery many you're bringing to the wedding?" Hermione asked.

"Your would die if I told you," answered Ginny, blushing.

"Oh come on, it can't be that bad."

"OK, it's Draco Malfoy."

Almost choking on the fudge she just put in her mouth, Hermione squealed, "Draco!"

"Shush, I don't want anybody knowing about us until Ron and Luna's wedding."

"But, how...why?"

"We've been seeing each other for about a month. He's changed, honest. He actually said he was happy about seeing you, Ron and Harry. Oh, and he also said he was surprised that you weren't marrying Ron."

Laughing, Hermione said, "I got over him in sixth year."

"Oh, well. Although I thought the same way as Draco. So, who are you bringing to the wedding?"

"No one."

"Come on Hermione, there has to be someone."

"No."

"I think there is someone, but you're just not telling me."

"There is someone, but he is already going to the wedding and he's way out of my league," Hermione said, blushing.

"OK Hermione, this may sound too much like Hogwarts, but who do you fancy?"

Nervously twisting her hands and blushing she whispered, "Harry."

"Who?"

"Harry, you know that handsome guy who walks around with jet black hair, emerald green eyes and toned abs. Harry is just, just perfect."

At this, Harry's eyes widened and many thoughts crossed his mind: She fancies me! She thinks I'm handsome, Bloody Hell!

Harry's thoughts were interrupted by Ginny, "Then why don't you just go for it?"

"Because, I mean have you seen the women he dates," Hermione said as she put her hands way in front of her chest and imitated what looking liked Pamela Anderson.

"And none of them have worked, maybe you're just the thing he needs right now! Then you and him could get married, buy a house and have little Harry's running all over the house."

Hitting Ginny with the pillow and laughing, Hermione said, "At least they're not little Ron's."

Deflecting her hit, Ginny said, "Maybe it's time to go to bed now." Putting out all the lights and climbing on the couches, the girls whispered goodnight to each other and the room went silent.

His head swimming, Harry went back up the stairs and climbed back into bed. Wanting to whoop for joy, Harry couldn't possibly sleep. But as the night wore on he slipped into pleasant dreams of Hermione and fudge.
