CHAPTER-6

"Harry, she needs rest!" she heard someone snapping. A few seconds later, she heard opening and closing of the door, twice.

"Hermione?" Ginny asked, slowing opening her eyes.

"It's all right, Ginny. You are perfectly all right!" Hermione said soothingly.

Ginny sat and Hermione placed a pillow behind her back, just as her Healer, Joy came.

"Are you comfortable, Miss Weasley?" she asked, coming over to her and checking her pulse. Ginny nodded. Harry came inside and looked over to her. She saw such concern in his eyes that she had to shake her head to clear her thought.

He's just worried that you didn't tell him. Another voice said in her mind.

"That's pretty good, because now you are not going to move much for the next few months," the Healer said cheerfully.

"WHAT!"

"Oh, no you don't Miss Weasley. Calm down, baby. You need peace!" Joy said as soothingly as she could.

"Ginny, you almost miscarried today. It is too early to have babies and they could have died! You could've died," Hermione admonished her gently.

"I'm sorry...." She felt tears welling inside her, but she blinked them away. She didn't want Harry to think she was too weak to raise her child.

"We know that you'll now carry out nicely. But from now no work no strenuous jobs, no stress, no over-excitement and only staying at home, with a bit of roaming here and there, Okay!" she raised her eyebrows.

Ron put in a suggestion. "Why, Hermione, you're Mum will be coming after a few weeks. Obviously Gin can't manage all herself, especially in this case," he waved a hand towards her huge abdomen. "And magic is also not allowed much to her these days. So why can't Gin stay at our house?"

The Healer smiled as if the matter was settled. "It's done, then. Miss Weasley, you are going to stay at Hermione's for the rest of the time. You'll get proper rest there," she said.

Ginny tried to refuse but Hermione leaned into her. "Don't worry. I don't think Harry is free at Ministry with Mrs. Bones threatening to retire soon and he will have to handle most cases, since I am not up to outdoor cases. He won't be there most of the time."

After pondering on it for a few seconds, Ginny agreed. "Okay, I'll come," she turned to Joyce, "Is Hermione also to stay at home?"

Joyce shook her head. "I don't think it is necessary for her to stay till half of her ninth month. She can continue to go to Ministry, as long as she avoids too much magic and do not take outdoor cases at all," she said, standing up and checking Ginny once again.

Harry quickly exited the room, without saying a word, closing the door with a bang. Ron looked at her for a few seconds, and suddenly asked the Healer, "Are you quite sure, Joy that it is not a case of twins, or triplets? I still think it can be!"

Joy huffed in exasperation. "I've told you hundred times Mr. Weasley, that I am sure, that it's a single healthy child. And if you ask it even once again, I'll hex you"

Ginny opened the door to Hermione's house, carrying the bag of the fruits she had got for both of them. Hermione had gone to the office, so Ginny decided to do some shopping nearby. She had got some fruits and some toys for both of the two arrivals.

"Hi Gin!" Ron called out.

"Hey, brother! How was your negotiation meeting with the Head of the Committee?" she said absently, while moving to keep her wand on the cabinet.

"Perfect! I used the tricks Hermione told me, and soon they were begging to keep me in for the rest of my life!" he said, grinning boyishly. Ginny snickered. He hadn't changed even a pinch from how he was at eleven. Though having his hair grown, and becoming nearly 6'3" feet tall, he still had the antics of a kid, which exasperated the hell out of Hermione, and provided a constant source of entertainment for Ginny. She moved towards the refrigerator in the kitchen.

"That's amazing!"

"Any ways, Harriet called for you by Floo." Ron flipped the pages of his magazine- Latest Tricks of Quidditch-By 'Thunderous' Jack.

Ginny pinched her nose and took a large gulp of milk from the bottle. Trying not to throw up, she asked, "Who called?"

"Harriet- Harry's fiancé," Ron replied. Ginny's heart seemed to stop.

Ginny forced the second gulp with a tremendous effort and went to sit beside Ron. "What did she say?" she asked her brother, trying to sound nonchalant.

"She said she heard about your terrible day," Ron made a contorted face and Ginny grinned, "and wanted to talk to you about it." He shook his head. "I don't know why Harry chose only her. I just introduced them to have a laugh on her, but to my utter displeasure, they two ended together. Just imagine, today at the Ministry someone asked me- 'Excuse me- is Harriet your sister? She also has read hair,' what a nightmare!!! I was dying to kill that man then and there!" Ginny patted his arm sympathetically, trying not to laugh.

"Has Harry introduced her to Ma?" she asked.

"No. I don't think he plans to do so in the near future," Ron replied. "Oh, forget it. Just the name of that lady in micro skirts give me creeps. Treating me like Harry had done a favour on me by being my friend- as if!

"Anyways, Hermione said that she has left something for you on your table. She jinxed it so that I couldn't see it, don't worry."

She went to her room, kept the bag on the counter and saw a dark green leather bound diary by the table. It had a letter under it. She picked it up and saw Hermione's precise handwriting-

Dear Ginny,

You must be wondering whose diary it is, but let me tell you this diary is Harry's. He started a diary a few years back and writes most important entries only. It is his most recent one. He had to go out for a few days to settle the Auror exchange pact from the Minister of Bulgaria. He gave it to me for a few days as his new temporary apartment is very messy and he doesn't want his diary to be lost.

I thought that it might be a good idea that you read his diary. His diary is quite like Tom's diary (but not that way harmful); you can go into the archives he had made within his entries. No way I am going to tell Harry about it-so be confident and read it...it might help you know about his feelings for you and more about him.

Be confident ;)

Hermione

Ginny hesitated for a second. She was sometimes surprised how far Hermione could go to break rules, when she herself denied Harry and Ron not to do so.

Oh, what hell! He won't even know I read it. She thought folding back the letter.

She opened the first page. To her dismay, it had no dates on them. She read the first entry.

Diary,

I proposed Harriet today! I am so happy in a way. The view was so romantic! I did so in the place where we first met -my office. And to my delight, she accepted it.

I told about it to Hermione and Ron, of course. Though Hermione looked genuinely happy, Ron had that strange look in his eyes which made me hesitant for a moment. But damn my bad luck, his mind was also closed -he didn't even trust me! Uh, in fact I was prying into his mind. That was bad.

I have returned from India, but I couldn't find Gin in London. I asked Hermione, but she just said she didn't know. I am afraid about Gin, where has she gone- without telling anyone? She had been gone for almost two weeks now. And we surely need to discuss about her lie. I am searching for her, and have placed two Aurors for the task, but she seems to have just vanished into thin air.

Well, got to go now,

Harry

The word, propose illuminated as she read it, but not being strong enough to see Harry proposing Harriet, Ginny ignored it and opened another page randomly. The page she now opened was written in a shaky handwriting.

Diary,

I don't know what the hell is going on with me. Do I need to check a psychiatrist? Or am I going overcharged? What am I seeing now-a-days (or better at nights)? Can I ever face Harriet properly again? These dreams are steadily moving towards the climax (or so I think) but never have once reached completion, leaving me extremely frustrated with everybody. This has to stop. But how? Should I consult Hermione?

And even Gin has not yet returned. I need to confront Hermione; it's not in her nature to be so sure about Gin.

Someone's coming,

Harry

Intrigued as to what was troubling Harry so much, Ginny read the article again, trying to locate the archive. As she read again, the word dreams illuminated. Ginny tapped the word with her wand. Nothing happened. She kept her wand aside and as soon as she placed her finger on the word, she was pulled jerkily, and the next second, she found her self sitting on Harry's bed.

The noise, soft footsteps, had opened his eyes. It was dark. It had to have been in the very early morning. He could hardly see, but moonlight was streaming through the window, giving him visibility to move around the house with ease without crashing with something lying on the floor.

He pushed himself up onto his headboard and put on is glasses. No one was in the room. Well, it is empty for him, Ginny thought.

He got up and draped a black silk robe over his bare torso, wearing only his trainers, grabbing his wand as he exited.

Ginny had a strange feeling of foreboding mixed with confusion, which she couldn't link with what she should be feeling. She pulled her hair into a loose, messy ponytail and followed him.

He pushed his messy hair back with his hands and glided, barefoot and silent, into the hall. His eyes searched his house for any sign of movement. To his left, he carefully approached the guest bathroom. He peered in, but there was nothing. He continued to walk.

The room felt sufficiently genial beneath to Ginny. Still she followed him...

She looked in every room, walking along with him. To her right, she peered into the guest bedroom. Still, no one was there.

They continued to walk, Harry's breathing coming in quick gasps. Straight ahead was the living room and before that, a doorway into the kitchen. The living room was clearly visible and clearly showing no signs of an intruder. Harry sharply turned into the kitchen and went still. Ginny, who was not so fast, followed him but jumped at the sight of the intruder. His wand fell to the floor, making several sparks issue from the tip.

"Gin?" he questioned hoarsely.

She looked around his kitchen, but it wasn't how she thought it should be, and from Harry's expression, neither he.

A cream-colored sofa, in the place of the dining table, was facing the doorway that Ginny and Harry now stood in.

'It is like I am waiting for him,' she thought suddenly and strangely felt elated.

Ginny was lying on the couch; her arms stretched, leaning causally but provocatively with a smile that lay glowing on her face.

"Gin, what are you doing here?" he said sternly though Ginny could almost hear his heart was beating longingly fast.

She stood up and strode the room in slow, unmeasured steps until she stood only a few inches from his body.

'I'm not even pregnant,' Ginny thought intriguingly. She went over to her back, and looked up into his eyes. A shiver raced down her spine.

Desire clouded his eyes, which were now warm and smouldering green instead of emerald ones. His breathing quickened.

Ginny felt adrenaline pumping faster, though she was sure it wasn't in her. She quickly changed her position, so she could see the reactions of both- herself, and of Harry.

His eyes were wide and took in the moonlight. His lips were calm and the tension was suddenly gone.

He raised his hands, steadily grazing up her arms with his fingertips. Her eyes flickered for a second as he continued. They rose to her shoulders resting gently upon her neck, pulling her into his lips. The gap between them closed as Ginny saw herself pushing up to his body.

His hands moved to her sides, wanting to touch her skin, but not able to due to her nightgown. He hiked up her gown slightly from the bottom. She pushed him away and grinned mischievously. He stared at her with confusion, but returned the smile as she pulled out her hair tie, letting her scarlet hair fall and then lifted her arms above her head, allowing him to pull it off. He pulled her body towards him, running his hands over her naked back, feeling the warmth and feel of her skin. He felt her lips return to his, her arms on his shoulders and digging her nails gently into his skin. His tongue caressed her lips, which she parted eagerly. He took several steps forward forcing her to take steps back until she was against the cold wall opposite to the doorway of the kitchen. There were no windows to allow in the moonlight. They only had the moonlight streaming into the hallway from the living room.

"NO! NO I AM NOT SEEING THIS- WHAT IS HAPPENING- I'M NOT SEEING THIS! GET ME OUT OF HERE, WHERE'S MY WAND? DAMN IT!" Her mind roared in shame and self- pity, though deep inside her, she had thousands of balloons of pleasure and lust bursting inside her.

She darted her view here and there, trying to divert her mind. But she felt unusually dizzy, and her eyes ultimately returned back to the intimate scene happening in front of her. Her breathing was increasingly becoming laboured from the scene in front of her-

"Intimate?" the rational part of her mind was sarcastic enough to raise the question.

Ginny struggled to pull off his robe. She opened the sash of his robe and pushed off it hastily with her left hand and moving her right in his messy hair. Her lips kissed his neck as he pulled her as close to him as he could. She pushed him slightly. Ginny raised her eyes and saw a slight, liquid shine in his eyes. She caressed his face with her hands, moving them lightly over his face. He closed his eyes and snuggled into her touch.

Suddenly, and roughly, he pulled her back to him. Ginny herself felt the warmth of her chest touch his. He picked her up and pressed her more to the wall. She wrapped her legs around his waist. Her head fell back as his lips kissed her neck and ears and every part of her body as he continued to hold her steady against the wall. They kissed each other fiercely, as if there was no tomorrow. Her hands reached down for his waistband to push it down and...

Thump. A loud noise reached her ears and she suddenly found herself on Harry's bed, looking directly at him. He sprang up from the bed. His eyes were wide- still smouldering, her breathing was fast, and his body lay wet with sweat. He threw the covers off and rubbed his eyes and put the glasses on.

Ginny looked at the clock. Three a.m.

Harry looked around to see Ginny's tiger cub, Dorje, on the floor chasing after what appeared to be a sneakoscope.
