Ron stared at her in disbelief, then back at the board. "How?"
She picked up her king, and placed him. "If I moved, I would've moved here." F2. "Then, you move here." C2. "Then, I'd be in check. Then, I move my king wherever, and you attack my castle, and it's a checkmate."
Ron looked at her, actually, more like gaping.
Melly heard laughing in her head. What are you laughing at?
That was the most interesting game of chess I have ever witnessed, Snape said.
Melly rolled her eyes. She then smiled at Ron. "Shall we go join the other two?"
Ron nodded, and stood up. They walked to Harry and Hermione.
Melly let Ron talk about the game.
So, you actually forfeited? Snape asked. YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO FORFEIT! SHOULD I TAKE TEN POINTS OFF JUST FOR THAT? DON'T MAKE ME DO IT!

That came took a lot out of me. I'm bushed, she thought as she yawned. I think I'm going to take a nap. How long did that last?
