Chapter Fifteen
Another month passed. Harry and Draco fell into routine of everyday life and though neither of them would have ever admitted it, grown used to each other. They spent all the evenings together -- Harry would sit on the sofa and read something, Draco would play with Godric or draw. From time to time, but always simultaneously, they would look up and meet each other's eye, then quickly look away and return to whatever it was they were doing as if nothing unusual had taken place. Every night they had their little talks. In the mornings, to the horror of both soul mates, they found themselves reluctant to go their separate ways.
It was one of their quiet evenings, when a triumphant-looking Berth burst into the room without even bothering to knock.
"Sir! We've found him!"
Quite surprisingly, Draco was the first to react.
"Greyback?"
"Yes!"
"Where?" Draco sounded really concerned.
"Malfoy, what's it?" Harry asked, interrupting Berth. "Is there some issue between you and that beast?"
"I hate it!"
"Oh, I hate it too." Harry said lightly, smiling in the way that both Berth and Draco shuddered as if they had seen a Dementor.
"Take me there, Jerkins. I'd like to deal with it myself."
"I want to go there too!"
"As you wish, my dear hubby."
Harry clearly was in a good mood. Berth found it very disturbing.

The three of them arrived by a Portkey to the clearing in the Forbidden Forest.
The sun was setting.
There, in the centre of the circle of Wizengamot Aurors lay Fernir Greyback. To say the least, he didn't look very well.
"Get him up," Harry commanded.
Berth waved his wand. The next moment Greyback was standing, his face was twitching, his eyes were vivid. He looked as though he were energised.
"Fernir Greyback, for all the crimes you have committed, by the power given me, I condemn you to death." Harry made a pause. "And now, we shall have a bit of fun."
Draco was suddenly filled with the sense of foreboding. He somehow knew that something really horrible was going to happen. He looked around. All the Aurors standing there tried hard to keep their faces straight, to show no emotion. But Draco knew that all of them were terrified. Terrified of his soul mate who was on the seventh month of his pregnancy and thus was basically powerless.
"You got me," Greyback rasped out, "at last. But it'd be a bit difficult to have fun, eh, Potter? They say you are as useless as a Muggle. No wonder, in your, err, condition."
"I do not need a power of my own," Harry said smiling in the creepiest way imaginable, "this world has an endless supply of it. Your long dead master was too worthless to use it. Now," Harry was clearly savouring every single word he was saying, "you will experience the full power of the very air you breathe!"
Draco saw as Harry stepped into the circle, lifted his arms and began chanting softly in some strange language. At first, Draco was unimpressed, but then, it seemed as though the shadow passed over them and left them all cold and sad. The next moment there was thunder and white-hot lightning bolts erupted from the tips of Harry's fingers and struck Greyback in his left arm. It was ripped off his body and thrown away. Greyback gritted his teeth, no sound came out of him and he remained standing. Draco was really impressed by his strength.
The whole situation seemed to enrage Harry and he repeated the act with more passion. Greyback's right arm was severed this time; he was also thrown onto his back. He still refused to scream; instead, he was trying to stand up, in vain.
"I'll make you scream, Greyback, I promise!"
When Draco decided to accompany Harry to the execution of his least favourite Death Eater, he couldn't even imagine that he would end up pitying him.
"Harry..." he said softly but his husband heard him. In fact he turned to look at Draco in something akin to astonishment on his face. "Please, let's go home."
An unreadable expression crossed Harry's features. Then he nodded.
There were sighs of relief all around Draco.
"I'll show you mercy, Greyback, though I am sure you do not deserve it. You will die, of course, but it will be a quick death. Maybe you won't even feel anything... I wouldn't know."
Harry raised his hands as if he wanted to reach the sky, closed his eyes for a few moments and then, in the last blast of power the last Death Eater was gone and there was only a small pile of ash on the patch of grass he was lying less than a second ago.
Harry came up to Draco and looked him directly in the eye. Then he smiled and said, "Let's go home... Draco."
