I'll always be there for you...

Chapter 5

On the streets of downtown London, there was a witch that was crying and bumping into the general public, because she couldn't see anything.

Hermione's tears wouldn't stop streaming down her face. Her heart clenched and unclenched a hundred times before she reached a public park bench where she collapsed. She tried to stop crying and kept dabbing a tissue on her cheeks to make it better, but it wouldn't help.

After stifling her tears, she just put her head into her lap. Her job was lost, her boss used her and Ron had tried to rape her. Where was her life going?

After a few minutes, Hermione was getting a few stares from people in the park so she decided to go home. She Apparated home and then sobbed on the couch.

It felt like all was lost now. Hermione had always respected Blaise so much and had loved her job and did it with so much care. But now she had heard Blaise insult her in front of Millicent and say that he had used her. And now she had quit her job.

Suddenly there was a peck on her shoulder and Hermione screamed when she saw the owl.

It was hooting loudly with a letter attached on its wing so Hermione took it off and read it.

Dear Hermione,

Will you please come over as you as you read this? I'll be waiting.

Mrs. Weasley

Hermione had no idea as to why Mrs. Weasley would be calling her over, but decided to get it over with.

So she Disapparated to outside the Weasley's house and knocked on the door. She quickly made her sure that her eyes weren't red.

Mrs. Weasley answered the door with a grim expression. "Come in dear," she said.

Hermione came in and sat down. "What is it Mrs. Weasley?"

"Ron tells me that something has happened between the two of you?"

"Yes," Hermione said, wanting to tell the truth. "On the night of Ginny's party, Ron lured me outside and...and tried to rape me."

"What bullshit!" said Ron, materialising out of nowhere.

"Ron!" said Mrs. Weasley and Hermione.

"Sorry, Mum, but I can't believe she's still going on with this story," said Ron, with angry patches of red on his cheeks and ears.

Hermione stood up and folded her arms across her chest. "So you don't believe me, Ron? Even when I show you all these marks?" She pulled up both her sleeves and showed them the markings.

"Oh, stop faking it. You probably did that to yourself," he said. "Mum, like I told you, she's making up this story because of Harry..."

"Harry?!" Hermione practically yelled. "What does any of this have to do with Harry?"

"It's just like Mum reckons," he said, "you were in love with him and are upset that he chose my sister over you and married her. It's been this way since fourth year, Mum, ever since Rita Skeeter guessed the truth."

Hermione took a few deep breaths to calm herself before saying, "Why would I agree to marry you then, if I was in love with Harry?"

He shrugged. "How should I know the way your big brain works? But I know this is just a ploy. Why would I hurt you?"

"Indeed," spoke up Mrs. Weasley, "this must be a way you trying to manipulate Ron, because why would he do such things?"

"I don't know!" said Hermione. "But it happened!"

"Why wouldn't you tell us before?" demanded Mrs. Weasley.

"Because I didn't want to ruin Ginny's wedding," said Hermione. "I knew it would cause..."

"Lies!" roared Ron. "All lies!"

Fleur came downstairs with Anca and demanded, "What eez going on?"

Ron whirled on them and asked, "Tell the truth! Didn't you used to see Hermione and Harry talking privately?"

Anca looked uncomfortable but Fleur easily said, "I did! She was always weeth him...alone."

"See!" he said. "There! That proves it."

Hermione couldn't bear it anymore. "Why would I lie, Ron?! I'm telling you that I don't love Harry! Why can't you believe me?"

"Exactly!" Ron said. "Why can't you believe me? I never did that to you."

Tears were gushing out of Hermione's eyes like a waterfall now.

"Just admeet it," said Fleur. "You are in love weeth 'arry and are 'urting my 'usband's leetle brother over it."

"I did see them talking a few times alone," spoke up Anca.

"Admit it!" said Mrs. Weasley. "This is all a ploy!"

"If you wanted to marry him, then why did you accept my ring?" he demanded. "You should have said no to me, instead of lying now."

Hermione closed her eyes, trying to tune out the yelling. The only solution she could think of was to leave, but not without a few words.

She opened her eyes and said, "I have nothing to say to you, except that I'm sorry I ever trusted you and wanted to be part of your family. From now on leave me alone." With that she ripped off the ring off her finger and muttered a curse with her wand so that the ring spun out of her hand with all the small stones falling out and hit Ron on the cheek.

Then she closed her eyes and Disapparated to her home.

When she opened her eyes, she realised she wasn't at home. She was standing near some cliffs that overlooked a small lake. Hermione tried to go home, but whenever she opened her eyes she would be in a different lake of the small park.

So she decided to sit down on a bench. Her heart was racing and her vision was blurred because of the tears that threatened to fall.

After all the crying she had already done today, she didn't feel like crying anymore. Her head throbbed and her stomach rumbled, from not have eaten.

Before she knew it, she was crying again. This time she didn't try to stop the tears. She fully cried softly, feeling as if her heart was going to rip out of her chest.

She had loved Ron, so why would he treat her like this? She trusted him and yet he couldn't trust her? On top of that he had made some false accusation up about her loving Harry, to get out of raping her and everyone had stood up for him.

Even though it was Ron's fault, she still felt bad at how she had behaved. Then she sobbed and scolded herself for feeling sorry for them, when she was the one who was hurt.

All her life, she tried to please everyone and looked out for them, but no one was there for her in that way. All her life, she went around saying 'I'll always be there for you...' but no one had ever said that to her.

No matter how much Hermione put a smiling face on and hugged the world, the more it stabbed daggers in her back. She was constantly there for others, listening to them, helping them solve their problems, but the second she tried to tell them how upset she was everyone would turn selfish and start talking about themselves. Everyone always took advantage of her always be there for them, but not anymore.

She was sick of it all. Doing everything for everyone and having him or her all thank her saying, "Oh, Hermione, you're such a doll."

After sitting there for what seemed like hours, Hermione got up and tried to find her way home since her Disapparating abilities were down. Soon she made her way to downtown London and found that she was starving.

Ignoring the sign on the building, Hermione walked in to eat something, not knowing that she was entering a bar.

Inside, it smelled heavily of alcohol and tobacco, but Hermione didn't care, because she was so out of it.

She took a seat on a stool and ordered some food. When the barman told her that all they sold were drinks, she just smiled sadly. "I'll have a drink then," she said. "Why not? My life is such a bloody mess as it is. It's not getting any better."

"That's for sure, Miss," said the barman. "Now what can I get you?"

"How about...a happier life?" asked Hermione.

The man laughed. "Sorry, we don't got that."

"Figures," said Hermione. "Then how about a..."

"How about vodka?" said the guy beside her.

Hermione glanced at the guy beside her. He was handsome with blond hair and brown eyes.

"Vodka it is," she said, smiling at the guy and then turning to the barman.

The man gave her the vodka and Hermione immediately took a sip. "Thanks," she said to the guy.

He nodded. "It's on me."

Hermione smiled flirtatiously, immediately tipsy from the drink. "Thanks, 'cause I don't have any money. You're such a doll."

He grinned and the moved to the stool right beside her. "Where're you from?"

"Around," said Hermione, taking a big sip and burping. She laughed; unaware of the man in the back watching her.

"You're really pretty, you know," he said.

"Yeah?" Hermione said, getting more drunk. "No one's told me that before, especially not my fiancée."

"You have a fiancée?" he asked, immediately glancing to her left hand but found it empty of any rings.

The girl sighed. "Not anymore. I dumped him."

"Oh?" he said, appearing to be interested. "How did that happen?"

Soon enough, the whole story came tumbling out of Hermione's mouth, who didn't feel strange telling her story to a complete stranger.

An hour and three vodka's later, Hermione got up to leave but fell to the ground. She got up again and just laughed. "Silly me."

"Maybe you should rest somewhere before you go home," said the guy, smiling.

"Maybe," said Hermione, cocking her head. "Are you offering?"

"Are you accepting?" he asked, grinning.

She fluttered her eyelashes. "Sure, you've been such a doll listening to me drone on. I guess I could give you something nice. What's your name by the way?"

"Dave," said the guy. "And yours?" He extended his hand towards hers.

Hermione thought for a second. "I can't really remember actually. You can call me 'Mione though." She took his hand.

He leaned forward and kissed it. "Charmed, I'm sure."

Hermione just giggled and followed the stranger, Dave, to his house.

~*~*~*~*~

The next morning

The next morning, my eyes opened to a beige ceiling. That's odd, I thought. My ceiling is white, not beige.

And then my senses woke up. My body felt weird and I suddenly realised I was naked.

I screamed and got up. Beside me in the bed was a guy I didn't even know. He immediately woke up.

"Where in bloody hell am I?" I demanded.

"With me, baby," said the guy, trying to get up which didn't sound good considering the guy was naked.

I put out my hand and said in my strongest imitation of professor McGonagall. "Don't. Move. A. Muscle."

He tried to get up again, but I screamed. "Don't come near me." I picked up a chair and threw it at him and then immediately started pulling on my clothes and pulled out my wand, which I pointed at him. "I have a wand and I'm not afraid to use it."

The guy didn't say anything, just trying to lunge at me, but I screamed a curse. The man bounced off the invisible wall I had put around him.

"Leave me along and don't try to follow me," I said, pulling my robe on and leave the room with my wand pointed out.

As fast as I could, I ran down the stairs of the posh house and found my way outside.

When I was outside, I truly began to wake up. Oh my God. I had just been in bed with a guy I didn't even know. What did that mean?

Before I could even process that thought, something came out of my mouth and I ran to the nearest rubbish bin, which was located in a park near some cliffs.

If I took the time to notice, I would have noticed that I was back at the same park that I had Apparated to, except that there were some people near the clips doing something.

I vomited into the rubbish bin but felt horribly sick after. As soon as I was done, I collapsed on the bench, with my head swirling. I transfigured a leaf on the ground into a napkin and wiped off my face. But the disgusting taste was still in my mouth.

Before I could drink some water to get the gross taste out of my mouth, I puked again, right on the grass. I didn't have the energy to get up to go to the rubbish bin, so I sat there holding my stomach as I puked my stomach out.

When I was done, I breathed heavily, taking in several deep breaths to calm my racing heart. Before I could rest, a bit more came hurling out.

When I was sure I was done, I transfigured another leave into a water bottle and took a big sip and rinsed my mouth out.

"Well, well, well," came a voice in front of me.

The water in my mouth squirted out and I almost puked again when I saw the face of which the deep voice belonged to.
