Author's Notes: I can't believe some of you thought that that chapter was the last one! I swear I told you guys three chapters ago that there would be an epilogue of sorts. And here it is. Lol, I was laughing hysterically when you all thought it was the end really. I know I shouldn't have, but I couldn't help it. Many thanks to the best beta in the world, Elisabeth. This all couldn't have been done without her constant support and feedback. :) Anyways enough of my blabbering, enjoy reading the Epilogue!

Epilogue

Love me and the world is mine...

One Year Later

"Welcome back to New York Witch Weekly! I am your host, Patricia! Just a heads up to wizards and witches out there in the Big Apple, there is an Art Exhibition today by one of your wizarding brothers who has made quite name for himself, Draco Malfoy! He is exhibiting some truly magical artwork, so head out to the mall and support your fellow wizard!"

The mall was a bustling place and was full of Muggle shoppers shopping for summer things.

A young man with dark hair was briskly walking around in the mall, looking for the female loo.

While he ran quickly, Blaise bumped into someone, and he began apologizing profusely to the other man.

"I am so sorry," he said to the man.

The man turned around, and Blaise gasped when he saw that it was Draco.

"Draco?" he said, staring at him.

Sure enough, it was his old friend, still with the same blond hair and unshaven cheeks.

Draco smiled faintly. "Hey Blaise."

Blaise just stared at his friend. He couldn't believe it was him. "What...what are you doing here?"

He shrugged. "Just hanging out."

Blaise stared at him and then shook his head. "I can't believe it's you. Everyone thought you died, the way you disappeared like that. How've you been, mate?"

"All right, I suppose. I needed to get away. I hope your mum's not too mad," Draco said.

"She's mad all right, Draco. She's kind of accepted it, though, that you died. Everyone wondered what happened to you because you were gone like that and you left no note, no nothing."

"I know," said Draco. "I'm sorry."

"It's all right, I guess. I told everyone that you had just gone away for a little while, but no one believed me...not even Ginny. Except she was out of it anyways," said Blaise.

Draco gulped. "Oh yeah?"

"Yeah," he said.

"Blaise!" came a voice from behind him.

"You want to meet my wife, then Draco?" said Blaise, grinning at him. "She'll be so glad to see you."

Draco's heart stopped beating as a woman came closer and closer to them, smiling at them. She was blond though and much skinnier than Ginny.

"Hey babe," she said, coming up to Blaise.

"Natasha, this is Draco. You remember him, don't you?" Blaise said, gesturing to Draco.

"Of course, Blaise," she said, flipping her blond hair. "But where's the loo?"

Blaise pointed behind him and she went off.

Draco watched this whole exchange with his mouth open. "You...you didn't marry Ginny?"

He shook his head. "No, mate. I couldn't. She started crying in the middle of the wedding, like there was no tomorrow. We had to stop the wedding because we figured that she couldn't go through with it. She's still waiting for the git, still. She says he's going to come for her."

Draco just stared at the floor, his heart beat racing and his breath caught in his throat. Had he heard right?

"If I ever meet the bastard that did that to her, I'm going to kill him," Blaise continued, oblivious to Draco's pain. "She's so out of it these days; she still says he's going to come for her. I can't believe..."

But then Blaise stopped talking as he caught workers moving something behind Draco.

Large black and white portraits were being moved. Portraits the size of a wall were being lifted gently.

Blaise focused in on them and nearly gasped when he saw what was in them.

Ginny Weasley. They were Muggle photographs of Ginny posing this way and that, her eyes smiling and laughing.

She looked beautiful in a black dress that covered her shoulders, and she was wearing a pearl necklace, with her hair framing her face.

She looked happier than he had ever seen her before.

But these pictures...Draco had taken them. That meant that...

"You're her pen pal," breathed Blaise, focusing on Draco now.

Draco didn't say anything, just kept his eyes downcast.

"All this time...she was waiting for you...and you broke up with her...because I said so," said Blaise, understanding everything that had happened this year. "That's why you left?"

He nodded now. "That's why I left."

"Oh my God," said Blaise, holding his forehead. "She's been waiting for you, mate. She still is!"

"She is?" he said, his heart beating faster and faster now.

Blaise nodded. "She is! Go to her, Draco! She's still waiting for you!"

Draco hugged Blaise. "You're sure?"

"Positive," he said, hugging him as well. "Go!"

Draco quickly ran to the event coordinator and told him he had a family emergency.

Then he ran to his flat and grabbed a couple of essentials. Then closed his eyes and Apparated back to London.

***

Back in London, he Apparated in his Manor. There was no one there as he appeared, just one house-elf that asked him if he needed anything.

He shook his head and found his broom. Then he rifled through his suitcase and found what he was looking for. Then he jumped on his broom and raced towards the Burrow.

It took him ten minutes to fly there, and when he got there, he saw that something was happening at their house.

People were walking around outside, wearing fancy dress robes and Muggle attire.

Confused, Draco shrunk his broom, put it in his pocket and walked to the door.

People were bustling about and saying various things.

"They're so lucky," said one woman as she walked by. "They're such a perfect couple!"

Draco heard similar things as he pushed past a bunch of people to the door.

He looked around and saw two people standing to the far right of the room, having pictures taken, smiling and posing. He walked further into the hallway, trying not to bump into people as he looked for her.

There was a banner above them as well that read something. He squinted to read it.

Congratulations George and Ginny, it read.

Dread filled him as he read the banner.

Ginny had gotten married. To someone else.

He had been too late. Once again.

Tears began brimming his eyes as he stared at the banner again, blinding it him so he couldn't see anything.

He had lost her again. He was always too late. As usual.

Someone gently pushed past him as he stood in the hallway, unable to move.

Through his tears, he saw something red.

He blinked and saw red curls. The woman who had pushed past him had red curls.

Draco stared after, trying not to get his hopes up. It was someone else, surely. Someone else with red curls.

The woman sensed someone staring after her, so she turned around.

His heart stopped beating as he saw who it was.

Ginny. It was Ginny, holding a platter of cake in her hands. She was wearing a red dress, one that had short sleeves and hugged her curves, but didn't cling to them. It flowed just past her knees and her hair was out.

Her sad brown eyes met his and she smiled faintly. To her, he was just her co-worker. He had always been just that.

For him, she was more than that. He had waited seven years for this moment. Seven years to tell her that he loved her.

She continued to smile at him and her expression changed when she saw him take something out of his pocket.

She couldn't see what it was yet, so she waited patiently.

Draco took it out of his pocket and turned it around so she could see Mario the teddy bear.

The platter in her hands fell to the ground, yet the sound didn't reach either of their ears.

Ginny stared at the bear in Draco's hand. It was Mario, the teddy bear. The one that she had given Prince...

Her tear-filled eyes met his in confusion, then understanding.

The air had suddenly become charged around them. Not a single sound was heard, not the people cheering or laughing, nor the wine bottles being opened.

Neither of them felt the people jostling past them or the warm wind from the open door tickle them.

The smell of food and flowers didn't reach their noses, nor did they see anything other than each other.

Ginny's breathing had become laboured as she stared at the bear and then him, her heart hammering against her chest. Draco...he was Prince. She had been waiting for him.

Draco waited for what seemed like an eternity but was only a minute for her to cross the distance between their bodies.

In that minute all he wanted to do was to tell her how much he loved her and how sorry he was for giving her so much pain.

"I'm sorry," he whispered to her.

The tears overflowed from her eyes and began coursing down her cheeks.

She couldn't find her voice as she crossed the space between them. It was only a minute, yet it seemed to last forever as every thought she had ever thought about him in the past six years jumped up at her.

Every second they had spent together flashed through her mind, every memory came back.

Finally she was before him.

For the past year, Draco had only dreamt about her, thought about her, fantasized about her. And now here she was in flesh...before him.

For the past year, Ginny had wondered why he had left her and pondered if he loved her or not.

Now everything made sense.

Without a second thought, she wrapped her arms around him and sobbed into his shoulder, standing on her tiptoes.

And Draco heaved out a sigh as he felt her body against his. This was her. He wasn't dreaming. She had accepted him and his lousy apology.

He wrapped his arms around her tightly, as if to never let go.

The sounds, the smells, the feelings and sights all came back to them.

Her body was warm against his and she smelled like cinnamon and jasmine, as always. His hands got tangled up in her thick red hair as she cried into his shoulder, lost in the feel of him.

Draco tightened his arms around her, supporting her, as she was much shorter than he was.

"I'm sorry," he whispered in her ear. "I'm really sorry."

"Shut up," she said, kissing him.

When her lips met his, the fireworks came and they were amazing. Little jolts of electricity ran through her body and her palms became all sweaty.

They broke free and Draco hugged her again, never wanting to let go.

But he did let go...five minutes later when he unclasped the necklace from her neck and took the ring from it and put it on her finger, where it had always belonged.

"I love you," he said, kissing her again.

She actually laughed and said, "Tell me something I don't already know."

FIN- this time for real!

Author's Notes: So this is it!! Now I want really long reviews from ALL of you! Even those of you who are too darn lazy to review earlier. This has been an incredible journey for me, writing this fic. I wasn't too excited about it when I started, but it built up as I started writing more and more. Again, this never could have been done with my super duper beta, Elisabeth. She always returned my chapters to me on time and always gave me great feedback. To everyone else- this story couldn't have been written without you guys either! I'm a sucker for reviews and the reviews you guys left me made me smile, laugh and cry. I never would have thought my story was so well liked. You guys really helped me near the last five chapters, when my life became one huge roller coaster and I was too stressed to write more. But your constant badgering made me force myself to write the last bit of the story and I'm so happy I did finish it so quickly. I do have more fanfic ideas brewing in my head. In fact, they've been brewing for quite awhile, but I always like to finish one story before I write another one. So look out for my next story, but that won't be for awhile. I'm going on a trip now, and won't be back till May during which I'll have to catch up like mad to get all my work completed and then comes those horrid things that I detest- exams. So my next story won't be until June, at the earliest. Just as a teaser, it's going to be a mishmash of fairy tales and of course, a Draco and Ginny fic. But expect one shots from me though. I can't stay away from the fandom for too long. Darn, no more writing fanfics for a month though! No more reading awesome reviews! And no more writing incredibly long author's notes- which I have a tendency to do. And no, I do not get paid to promote Twilight, I just love it sooo much and it's my obsession. To anyone and everyone who read any of my previous work, do you think my writing has improved, stayed the same or worsened? I like to think it's better, but I just want to know your thoughts. Also if you're bored, please do check out some of my other fanfics! The majority of them are D/G. So I've written enough now. If you ever want to reach me and say anything, whether it be about my fanfic, Harry Potter in general or rant about Edward, please email me at [email protected]. I'd love to hear from you guys, because I truly do love talking to you. So thanks once again to everyone who supported me during this fanfic- you rock! I would mention everyone here, but that would be this ridiculously long review even longer. So thanks to all! Luv ya! <3 Fasiris Fay
