Hidden Revelations

Prologue

September 1st, 2002

"Welcome Students! I believe all the first years have received their house letters. So let me give a two brief announcements and then we shall eat. First off, we have a new Charms teacher Professor Scott..."

Everyone applauded politely, but not with a lot of enthusiasm.

"Secondly I do not want a repeat of last year's food fight..."

Students began to chuckle as they remembered the last feast well.

"Remember you are here to learn, not to fool around. Right then, let the feast begin!"

A loud cheer broke out from every table, even the teachers were cheering. As plates began floating in and landing on the tables people began to talk.

"Did you see South Park last night?" asked one girl. Autumn, Maria, and Frank began talking about their most recent favorite movie.

"Oh, did you see the part when the cars were racing?" asked Frank.

"I thought that was cool," responded Autumn.

"Did you see the bald guy? He was hot!" said Maria

The three of them laughed and continued talking, recalling all the events in the movie.

"What movie are you talking about?" asked a boy sitting next to Frank.

"The Fast and the Furious." said Frank.

"Oh...ok," said the boy.

"Yeah, it was..." Autumn couldn't finish because the whole Great Hall went pitch black. Everyone began to panic, but no one moved, which was a mistake. Something began to glow bright over their heads and as they looked up and saw what appeared to be a skull with a snake coming out of his mouth glowing neon green and the eyes of both the snake and the skull were blood red. Everyone knew at once what this symbol was... It was the Dark Mark.
