A Very Black Christmas

The year is 1978 and it is Severus Snape's last Christmas as a student at Hogwarts. He hates all holidays and at best considers Christmas an insufferable pain. This year's Christmas is going to end in a way he never could have imagined.

Lily, Severus' old neighbour and friend, is concerned for him; she knows he carries a lot of hard feelings, such as the feeling of being abandoned and forgotten by someone he cares for. She tries to speak to him, but gets the same result as ever.

Severus finally decides to open up to Regulus, who up untill that moment knew nothing about Severus' family. The truth will turn out to be a lot darker than he had expected.

Regulus confides a secret in Severus, in hopes that he'll get support and recognition. Severus, however, doesn't quite take it as Regulus had expected him to.

Severus had a run-in with Sirius Black and it doesn't end well.

"Yesterday had been a nightmare. Many hurtful memories had surfaced and many harsh words had been exchanged." When Severus wakes up, he realizes that he has committed perhaps the biggest mistake of his life. What will become of him now?
