About a month later, Hermione found herself with a severe case of the stomach flu, causing her to throw up anything, and everything, she ate.

Luckily, Hermione, who still had connections to Muggle inventions, had Internet access in her house and used it to look at wedding dresses. She still hadn't found the perfect one.

Hermione was a plain girl. She wanted a plain dress, a plain veil, and a plain wedding. Molly, on the other hand, felt it was necessary to have an extravagant wizarding wedding.

"Now, Molly," Hermione said to Molly, whose head was in her fireplace. "I just want it very simple."

"Do you think a four layer or five layer cake would be appropriate?" Molly asked, ignoring Hermione completely.

"Molly, I just want a simple wedding," Hermione repeated herself.

"And then what about the bridesmaids? About ten?" Molly went on.

"Mrs. Weasley!" Hermione finally yelled, trying to get her attention.

"I've told you, Hermione, please call me Molly," she said with a smile.

"Molly, you need to listen to me," Hermione said, speaking slowly for her to understand. "I want a simple wedding. No extravagant cake, no flamboyant dress, and just one bridesmaid."

"Well, that's all you had to say, dear," Molly said, acting as though Hermione had only just mentioned this.

"Look, Molly," Hermione said, holding her stomach. "Not to be rude, but I must go. I'm not feeling too well."

"Of course, dear," Molly said before disappearing.

Hermione quickly ran to the bathroom and threw up for the third time that day.

Ding-Dong!

Hermione slowly walked over to the door, trying not to upset her stomach any more than it already was. She looked through the peephole and saw Ginny, quickly opening the door.

"You do realise that I am sick, right?" Hermione said as Ginny entered.

"When has that ever stopped me before?" Ginny asked as she hung her jacket on a hanger.

Hermione laid herself back down on the couch, clutching her stomach.

"Hermione, have you seen the mediwitch?" Ginny asked as she put a pot of tea on the cooker.

"No," Hermione said quietly. "I'm sure it'll pass. The stomach flu only lasts a few days."

"But, Hermione, what if it's something serious," Ginny said, leaving the pot on the cooker.

"I'm sure it's nothing," Hermione assured her.

"I can't believe you, Hermione!" Ginny said angrily.

"What?"

"You just don't see it, do you?" Ginny said, shaking her head.

"See what?"

"It's right in front of you face," Ginny continued as though she hadn't heard her.

"What's right in front of my bloody face?" Hermione roared.

"Hermione, listen to me," Ginny said seriously. "Here are your symptoms: vomiting, breast tenderness, missed menstruation -"

"Wait! How do you know about me missing my period?" Hermione asked curiously.

"I snooped around," Ginny said, stating the obvious. "Now, Hermione, what do those symptoms point to?"

"Ginny, I know what you are thinking," Hermione said. "I'm not pregnant."

"Oh, c'mon, Hermione," Ginny said, rolling her eyes. "I know you and George didn't just drink tea and play Parcheesi that night at the Leaky Cauldron."

"Ginny, I'm not pregnant," Hermione said again.

"How do you know?" Ginny asked. "Have you seen a mediwitch?"

"No..."

"Have you used the witch pregnancy test?"

"No..."

"Then, how do you know?" Ginny said, putting her hands on her hips.

"For one, George put a protection charm on his, er, you know," Hermione said uncomfortably. "And for two, I took a Muggle pregnancy test."

"Hermione," Ginny said nervously. "You should know by now that the magic that my brothers can do correctly is limited. And those Muggle tests don't ever work properly. I tried one when I hadn't had sex in two months and it said that I was pregnant."

"Then what do you propose that I do?" Hermione asked angrily.

"I think I should bring you a witch pregnancy test," Ginny said. "And then you can decide whether or not you are pregnant."

"Fine," Hermione agreed. "Bring it over tomorrow around three. Ron should be gone by two."
