Rain poured down on Hermione as she made her way up the driveway to the Burrow. By the looks of it, no one was home, but she couldn't be too sure. Someone was always home at the Weasley's. She just hoped it was only George.

Hermione had made a mistake, a big mistake.

Ron and her were Hogwarts sweethearts, but Hermione was drifting further away from him. She loved another.

Every Saturday morning, while the Weasleys were out, George would stay home, and Hermione would visit and she wasn't ready to give it up just then. She liked the risk and she liked being with George.

But now, Hermione was over her head. It had been three months since George and Hermione had started seeing each other and they had become closer, much closer. They no longer just talked, they kissed, and more often snogged.

Amazingly, Hermione and George never got caught, though there had been some very close calls. Which was why Hermione prayed that today was like any other, and the Weasleys would all be out and about.

Hermione peered inside the broom shed. Hermione breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of one broom on the wall, signalling that only one Weasley was home.

Hermione felt as though she was living two lives. One was where she balanced Ron, work, and family. And the other was a secret life involving George and snogging.

Sometimes Hermione wished that Ron would just walk in on them snogging so she could be done with the secrets and lies.

There had been many times when she had tried to break up with Ron, but she couldn't come to tell him the truth. Every time she tried, she just imagined the smile on Ron's face fading into a disappointed frown.

Hermione lightly tapped on the door, still a bit worried that someone might be home.

The door opened and George stood in the doorway, wearing nothing but a pair of boxers and a tee-shirt.

"Hello, Love," George said groggily. "Come on in."

Hermione swiftly swept in, kissing him lightly on the lips as she passed him. She took off her light blue raincoat and hung it up in the closet.

"So, where is everyone this dreary morning?" Hermione asked as she made her way into the kitchen to make some tea.

"Ron is at Quidditch practice," George said, knowing that Ron was the only person she was really worried about.

"In this weather?" Hermione said as she prepared two cups of warm tea.

"Rain or shine."

"So we have about two hours?" Hermione confirmed.

"Unless Ron manages to throw the quaffle into someone's nose," George said with a chuckle.

"No, something like that can only happen three times in one lifetime," Hermione said sarcastically. "So where's everyone else?"

"Well, Fred is taking the morning shift at the shop, like he does every Saturday. And Mum and Dad finally took their vacation to Romania that Harry gave them for Christmas."

"That's great! No offence, but I hate being with your Mum, she always gives me these horrible looks, like I'm guilty of something, which is true but I still don't like it," Hermione told him as she handed him his cup of tea. "But that leaves -"

"Ginny," George said, finishing her sentence, "who has taken over the job of mum and is at the market."

"Well, I'm not sure about Ginny acting as mum," Hermione said, sitting down next to George. "She sometimes scares me more than your mother. And I'm not sure if I'd rather have her or your mum find out about us."

"She probably already knows," George pointed out. "You never were very good at keeping a secret."

"I'm sorry that I let things slip. It's not my fault that I can tell you and Fred apart so easily," Hermione said, folding her arms across her chest.

"I was flattered; not many people can tell us apart, sometimes even Mum messes up."

"Well, I think I deserve a reward for being able to tell you apart from Fred," Hermione said, puckering her lips.

"Just being in my presence is reward enough," George said with a grin.

"Just kiss me, you baboon," she said, pulling him by the collar of his shirt.

"I love it when they're feisty," George said before they kissed.

What started out as a sweet, passionate kiss quickly deepened into a snogfest. Hermione pulled George down with her as she lay herself down on the couch.

Hermione yanked at George's shirt, and he gladly pulled it off over his head, revealing a muscular torso, showing that all that Quidditch had obviously paid off.

They continued kissing as George fiddled with the buttons on Hermione's blouse. Beneath the blouse was a white lacy bra. George wanted so much to take off the bra, no matter how beautiful it was, but Hermione protested that it was too risky.

Slam!

Hermione quickly pushed George off of her and onto the floor.

"What the bloody hell was that all about?" George asked angrily.

"Somebody's home! Get upstairs!" Hermione ordered.

"What about you?"

"I'll make something up!" Hermione hissed. "Now, Go!"

George grabbed his shirt from the ground and ran up the stairs. Hermione heard a slam of George's door as she buttoned up her blouse and straightened her hair.

The door slowly creaked open, and there stood Ginny.

"Hello, Hermione," she said as she carried in several bags of groceries.

"Hello, Ginny," Hermione said, trying not to sound as though she had done something wrong.

"What are you doing here?" Ginny asked as she put away the groceries.

"I came to see Ron," Hermione said a bit too quickly.

"Ron has Quidditch on Saturdays," Ginny reminded her.

"I must have forgot," Hermione said nonchalantly.

"I see..." Ginny said slyly.

Hermione could feel her face getting hot.

"Do you love George?"

"What?" Hermione stammered.

"Did you snog George?"

"What?" Hermione said again, her heart beating madly in her chest.

"I said, 'Did you wake up George?' Bloody Hell, Hermione! Can't you pay attention?" Ginny said angrily.

"Oh, sorry, yes," Hermione said, relieved at what Ginny had asked.

"Where is he?" Ginny urged.

"He went upstairs to change," Hermione said. It was then that she realised how Ginny could imagine that statement. She could have kicked herself.

Fortunately, Ginny didn't think of it that way, and if she did, then she didn't say anything. "Well, I'm going upstairs to my room."

Hermione smiled and nodded as Ginny left for her room.

"Shit," Hermione cursed after she heard Ginny's bedroom door close.

Right on cue, George strolled down the stairs. "Where did Ginny go?"

"To her room," Hermione said.

"Good," George said as he sat down on the couch next to Hermione.

George made to put his arm around Hermione when she said, "George, she knows too much."

George pulled away his arm. "We both knew this day come, Hermione, and if you want to stop seeing each other, I'll understand."

"George, I wish I could stop seeing you, but the truth is that I don't want this to end," Hermione said honestly. "But I don't know what to do..."

"Isn't it obvious?" George said with a grin. "We kill Ginny and Ron, and throw their lifeless bodies into the ocean, never to be seen again."

"George, I'm serious," Hermione said, rolling her eyes.

"Sorry, 'Mione," George apologised, putting his arm around her shoulder.

"Do you realise that Ginny is probably watching us?" Hermione asked.

"I don't care," George said. "I don't want to give you up, and Ginny can't make me."

Hermione didn't answer, she was too busy, observing a pink string leading from the bottom of the stairs to the top. Hermione pointed the string out to George and he grinned.

"Play along," Hermione whispered softly in his ear.

George nodded and pulled her closer.

"George, we had better make this quick!" Hermione said louder than she normally would. "Ginny almost caught us earlier."

"Well, if you hadn't argued with me about the risk of doing it in the living room, we wouldn't have almost been caught," George shot back.

Hermione glared at him and shook her head. "I don't want to argue now," she said in a deep, sexy voice. "I can't hold it back anymore, George. I want you. I need you!"

"Shh..." George said in a hushed tone. "Ginny's just upstairs."

"Yes, I know," Hermione said so Ginny could hear her. "And she's using those Extendable Ears to spy on us."

Ginny came down the stairs, holding one end of the Extendable Ears.

"You're cheating on Ron! With George!" Ginny said in an outrage. "I can't keep this from him, you know! I won't sit around and just watch you break his heart!"

"Ginny, be reasonable! I'm your best friend!" Hermione pleaded.

"Blood is thicker than water!" Ginny shot back. "I know you're my best friend, but Ron is my brother -"

"And so am I," George interrupted. "If you won't do this for Hermione, then for God's sake, do it for me, Ginny."

There was a long silence. Hermione and George stared at Ginny, holding hands and waiting for a response. Hermione's hand began to shake violently beneath George's; he gently squeezed it, hoping to comfort her a bit.

"Fine," Ginny finally agreed. "I won't say anything to Ron for one week. But by next Saturday, Hermione, you had better know where your heart truly lies."
