Chapter four-Miracles Happen

I stood back up and went back over to the couch. Percy gave me a hug before he apologetically told me he needed to get back to the Ministry. My mum and dad told me they needed to leave to get some rest, and that they'd be back in the morning.

So it was just Ron, Fleur, Ginny, Lauren and I.

"Hermione? Why don't I take Lauren for a walk later?" asked Fleur.

"Sure. I think she'd like that," I smiled at Fleur.

Just then, Lauren woke up.

"Lauren? How would you like to take a walk with me? We can check out ze cafeteria," offered Fleur.

"Okay!" said Lauren as she eagerly took Fleur's hand and the two of them headed out of the room. Ron plopped down beside me.

"Hermione, I'm going to say something to you now. Just listen, OK?" asked Ron.

I looked at him.

"OK,"

"Harry has pulled through a lot tougher stuff than this. I mean, this is bloody tough, but with You-Know-Who trying to kill him, he's managed to come through just fine. There's no reason he won't pull through this," said Ron.

"Ron, this is life or death! I know what you're saying, but I can't help but feel this is a different situation. I just don't know anymore, I'm sorry," I said, burying my face into my hands.

Ron wrapped his arms around my shoulder and gave me a squeeze.

"You've just got to hold on, Hermione. We all do,"

About ten minutes later, Fleur and Lauren came back. Ginny had went to the ladies room and came back shortly after them.

You showed me faith is not blind, I don't need wings to help me fly, Miracles Happen once and a while when you believe.

You showed me dreams come to life, that taking a chance on us is worth the right, all things will come with a little time, when you believe.

Ginny was sitting in a chair. Fleur was sitting on the floor with her back pressed against the wall for support. She was sleeping.

In my heart, I knew he was going to be OK, but my brain wasn't registering it. All I was doing was believing in a miracle.

"I'm going to get a little more sleep, OK?" I asked Ron.

"Sure," said Ron nodding. "I might myself."

I went back over to the couch and sat back down beside Lauren. Ron went over to the chair and sat down.

Shortly I had fallen asleep.

Around midnight, I heard someone calling my name.

"Hermione? Hermione?"

I groggily opened my eyes. Harry's eyes were open!

I jumped up screaming.

Lauren snapped awake, and Ron, who had been sleeping on a chair next to Ginny, woke up so fast he fell backwards, taking the chair with him. Ginny and Fleur jumped awake. I ran over to Harry and threw my arms around him, hugging him tightly.

I pressed my face into his neck and sobbed.

"Oh thank God, Harry! You scared the terd out of us!"

I said bursting into tears.

He hugged me back.

"I'm sorry I scared you guys,"

After I let go, Ron hugged him, then Fleur, Ginny and then Lauren.

"We told her zat you would be perfecztly fine," said Fleur grinning. "But she didn't believe uz."

Harry grinned and wrapped his arms around Lauren because she was sobbing softly.

"Hey, I'm okay," said Harry burying his face into Lauren's hair.

"I love you, Daddy," said Lauren, but her voice was muffled by Harry's hospital gown.

"Love you too, kiddo," said Harry as he finally released Lauren. He raised his eyes to mine.

"And I love you too, Hermione. The both of you more than life," said Harry as he took my face in his hands and kissed me.

I kissed him back and I felt as if an immense weight had been lifted from my heart.

My parents were thrilled to hear that Harry was okay and lightly scolded me for not listening to them. I was just happy that things were back to normal.
