Draco Malfoy's First Love

Chapter Three: The Dream

Draco Malfoy awoke the next morning with a start. Had he really been dreaming what he had been dreaming? That Mudblood Granger was invading his sleeping hours as well as those awake ones in Potions and CFMC? How DARE she disrupt the dreams of a Malfoy! Although, said another voice in the back of his head, it was a very nice dream.

Hermione and Ron sat down next to Harry in the library late that afternoon. He was very absorbed in a book.

"Harry, what on earth are you doing here, it's only the second day of the term."

"Maybe he actually wants to learn something, Ron." Hermione said, hurt that he would speak poorly of the library.

"No, not really," muttered Harry as he closed the book. "I was just checking, and it seems that ferrets really can be made Prefects."

The three of them had a good laugh at this joke, before Hermione finally inquired, "What are you doing in the library, Harry?"

"I'm actually doing some research for that report Snape announced he was giving us on Halloween. I know I usually do the "Ron" thing and wait till the last minute," he sighed, "but with the upcoming Quidditch season, I really don't think I'll have much time."

Ron looked shocked. Hermione shouted, "Good for you, Harry! At least one of you is taking control of your lives, not to mention, your grades in Potions." Ron glared at her.

"So, there's three of us," said Hermione, "but it's a partner project. And I bet Dobby would sooner kill Harry before Snape would let us have a threesome."

With that remark, Harry and Ron started cracking up. "Oh shut up," cried Hermione, going deep scarlet, "You know what I meant!"
