A Father's Love

Exactly four years after Remus gave birth to a stillborn son, he has a startling nightmare. When he and his husband Severus then are told to go to check on Harry, much more gets into light than was supposed. But even though Dumbledore deserves to be yelled at, little Jeremy needs his parents.

Remus and Severus are summoned to Dumbledore, and told to go to check on Harry. However, when they arrive to the Dursleys, a surprise awaits them.

Remus cuddles little Jeremy, promising to take him away, while Severus demands explanations from the Dursleys. What they hear enfuriates them both, but even more enraged Remus gets when Vernon Dursley tries to attack his husband.

When Remus and Severus finally get their son safe to Hogwarts, Poppy's examination does little good to their fear for the child. Dumbledore's reasonings aren't accepted by anybody, but for now, revenge can wait.

Severus doesn't think that a Muggle prison is enough for child abusers like the Dursleys. So, after getting a permission from Remus, he goes off to his very own journey to revenge.

Discussing Jeremy's needs brings up bad memories to both Severus and Remus. Also, they must decide what to do about Dumbledore. What could they do to the most powerful wizard in existence?

Remus and Severus are happy with their life in Canada, and little Jeremy couldn't hope for anything better. However, visitors from their past life disturb them, and one of them has an offer to think about.

The Snapes finally return to Hogwarts when Jeremy is eleven. Of course, most people are pretty shocked to see the change that has happened in Severus in the last seven years.
