Author's Note:
Okay, this wasn`t too long was it? Well actually it was a long time, but compared to last time... Sorry. Ireally am. Anyway, I`m starting a very exhausting coarse in two week and I hope I`ll manage to finish this story by then.

Harry ran out of the main building, sprinted through the yard, sped past the cafeteria and passed the gym without even noticing it. When he reached the football field, the pain in his side became unbearable. Harry collapsed near the 30 yard mark.

There, tired, soaking wet and hurt, Harry began to cry. Every single bad memory from the past sixteen years was processed through his struggling mind. He felt guilty for every mistake he made, remorse for every missed opportunity, resentment for every person who wronged him and anger at whatever it was that dealt the cards in this universe, for giving Harry the ones he got.

Harry had struggled with these emotions before. They were an inseparable part of his life from the day he was given his scar, until the day he cursed Bellatrix. However, now, on top of all these pollutants seething through his mind, Harry was also smoldering with self hate. Yes, he has been singed by this emotion before, especially since Sirius' death, but right now, it was threatening to incinerate him from within. Harry wanted to escape. Not from Voldemort or from the school grounds, but from his life as he knew it. He wished he could just start over.

*********

The roofed pool doors squeaked as Dean opened them and entered. Dean looked around cautiously. There was no one there.

"Harry?" Dean called tentatively. He closed the door. Dean searched the building with the lit wand in his hand. His heart skipped a beat when he saw Bellatrix standing near the jumping boards on the other side of the pool.

"Did you miss me, lover?" Bellatrix said.

Dean stabilized the solitary beam of light on Bellatrix. "You're dead," he said.

"How perceptive of you."

Bellatrix took a step towards him. She was wearing an unadorned black dress and was barefooted.

"Stay where you are," Dean ordered, though his voice was too shaky to sound commanding.

"You know I can't hurt you," Bellatrix said as she continued to walk in Dean's direction. "So why are you afraid?"

"Gee, I don't know," Dean said in a mock thoughtful voice, "I suppose I've got this absurd instinct not to let something called 'The First Evil' get too close to me."

"Relax, kid," Bellatrix said as she continued to edge towards Dean. "I'm here to help you."

"Yeah. Sure," Dean said, skeptical.

Dean figured this was pointless. The First probably showed up just to try and stall him. Dean turned to the door.

Somehow, Bellatrix was now between him and the door. "He's on the football field."

"I'm not dumb you know. You probably just want me to go there," Dean told Bellatrix.

"I do. That doesn't change the fact that is where Harry is. If you want to find him, that's where you have to go," Bellatrix said. After a pause, she continued. "You know I'm not lying."

"I also know it's a trap," Dean said.

Bellatrix leaned towards him. "That won't stop you from going," she whispered. Then it laughed and faded into the night.

*********

"Stupefy!"

Ginny fell to the ground, unconscious. She never stood a chance. He attacked her from behind.

"Alohomora!"

The door unlocked itself. Ron opened it and pulled his sister inside.

"I'm sorry, Gin, but it's the only way..." Ron said and kissed his sister on her forehead.

He left the room and began searching for Draco.

*********

"Are you ready?" Hermione said.

Cho nodded.

"No," Willow said. "But let's do it anyway."

Hermione opened the door. The girls walked in tentatively. The library was dark.

"Lumos," Cho whispered. She scanned the room. Willow turned on the light switch. It wasn't working.

"I don't think there's anyone here," Cho said.

Cho scanned the room with her lit wand. It's beam fell on Giles' desk.

Hermione walked to Giles' desk. She bent over it and began rearranging some books, looking for the ones she needed. She pulled one book, an action which inadvertently caused another book to topple down and send The Orb of Thesula rolling towards the edge of the table.

"Hermione!" Willow called.

Hermione turned around and caught the orb halfway between the table and the floor. She sighed with relief. She put the orb in her pocket. Hermione returned to the books and resumed her search.

A soft groan made all the girls jump.

"Who's there?" Willow said.

"Check the floor," Hermione suggested.

Cho lowered her wand. The circle of light trailed around the library floor until it fell upon a pair of bloody legs.

"Oh my god," Hermione said.

Cho moved her wand. The beam of light fell on Ollivander's face.

"Hermione, it's Ollivander," Cho said.

Hermione descended down the stairs. "What is he doing here?"

Hermione and Cho kneeled next to him. "Mr. Ollivander, are you okay?" Hermione asked.

"I'm afraid not," Ollivander barely managed to say.

"Hermione, there are a bunch of wands on the floor," Cho said.

"Cho, can you heal him?" Hermione asked.

"What? No, we haven't reached that level... How did you know?" Cho asked.

"When I asked McGonagall if the Teen Healers course was worth it, she told me to ask you. I've been meaning to ask you if the course isn't too much of a strain in N. E. W. T. year," Hermione said.

"Oh a little, but it's worth it. I mean the course is amazing. We learned so -" Cho began.

"Umm, girls?" Willow said.

"Yes, right," Hermione said.

"Anyway, I can barely heal small, shallow, wounds. I can't really help him," Cho said.

"It doesn't matter," Ollivander said.

"What? Why? Is there help coming?" Hermione said.

"No. It's just that I'm dead," Ollivander said, deadpan.

"What? How can you be-?"

Cho didn't finish her sentence, because Ollivander flung her across the library with his left hand, while giving Hermione the same treatment with his right.

Cho fell on a book stand in the upper level of the library. She hit the wall and rolled down the stairs until she hit the floor.

Hermione crashed into the metal cage and fell before it. After she checked that then orb was still in one piece, she noticed the keys were still in the lock of the closed door.

Willow took a step back as Ollivander turned to her. His face morphed. The color drained from his eyes, his nails lengthened until they turned to claws, his hair began to sink into his yellowish scalp.

"Give me the orb, Willow, and I'll give you eternal life," Ollivander said.

"Well," Willow said while trying to do some quick thinking, "how about we meet here in an hour and I'll give it to you then?"

The creature growled. Willow took that as a sign it didn't accept her offer.

Cho woke up. She closed her hand around her wand. She noticed Hermione trying to walk surreptitiously to the cage door. Hermione turned the keys. The cage was unlocked.

"Hey, Ollivander," Cho said.

The creature turned.

"I've got your ruddy orb."

It turned from Willow and ran towards Cho. It was about to reach her when Cho drew her wand.

"Expelliarmus!"

Ollivander flew in the air. With perfect timing, Hermione opened the door, Ollivander fell into it. Quickly Hermione closed the door putting all her weight against it. Willow hurried to help her. But they were too late. Ollivander pushed them and manage to send a squirming, deadly arm out through a gap. Cho rushed towards them. The three girls were leaning on the door.

"Willow! Try to lock it," Hermione said.

Just then, Ollivander shoved one of his three inch nails through the keyhole. The keys flew a few feet away.

Cho aimed her wand at Ollivander. "Expelliarmus!"

Ollivander flew backwards. The girls closed the door. However, Ollivander jumped the door, and Cho dropped her wand. He was jumped at the door, trying to force another gap he could attack through.

The girls were barely managing to hold the door in its position. They needed those keys.

"Willow!" Hermione said, "summon the keys. Like you did at my house!"

"I don't remember the incantation!"

The girls jumped as Ollivander attacked the door. They managed to fend him off and push the door back.

"Willow, just concentrate on those keys!" Hermione said.

Willow looked at the keys. She concentrated on them flying towards her, landing in her hand.

She was pushed from behind by Ollivander. The girls pushed back and he was fended off once more. But he broke Willow's train of thought.

I want those keys. We need those keys. I need them to be in my hand. I must have those

"Keys!"

They flew straight into Willow's hand. "I did it! Hey I -"

Ollivander stormed the door. Willow fell forwards. Hermione and Cho quickly scrambled to the place where Willow was and tried to block Ollivander.

Willow stood up and helped the girls. They slammed the door on Ollivander's flailing arm, until he eventually withdrew it. The girls closed the door. Willow locked it and held the keys tightly in her hand. She was still holding it when the girls ran out of the library.

*********

"What was that?" Cordelia said. Giles turned around while tightening his grip on the stake in his hand.

"Someone's here," he whispered. "Be quiet."

Giles crept towards a junction. He edged to the corner of the hall, trying to get a clear view of the hall to the left of him. But the person that was ambushing him attacked first.

Xander punched Giles. "I knew we shouldn't have left you alone!"

"What the bloody hell are you doing?" Giles said as he pushed Xander off him.

"I'm not letting you get away, Ethan," Xander said.

"What? What are you talking about?"

"Xander, it's okay," Cordelia said and walked towards him. They hugged and kissed.

"You're okay," Xander said.

Cordelia smiled. "So that's what brought you here?" she beamed at him. "Anyway, that's Giles."

"How do you know?" Xander said.

"He said, 'oh dear' like seven times since I found him."

"Yes, yes. I'm British, you're not. Can we please go find Buffy and the rest?"

*********

Harry saw a beam of light in the darkness. His muscles tensed. It was obviously a lit wand, though Harry couldn't make out the person holding it. The light fell on Harry. He immediately ducked out of view.

Harry saw the person start to sprint towards him. Whoever it was, Harry was prepared.

"Harry!" Dean shouted. He was a couple of feet away from Harry.

Harry recognized his guest. He was holding an axe. "What do you want?"

Dean laid his axe on the ground hoping to earn Harry's trust. He placed it at the edge of the field, where the 30 yard mark connected with the white frame. "I brought you your wand," Dean said. He held out the wand as a peace offering.

"Why did you come? Where are the others?"

Dean took a small step forward. "Harry, they need your help. Draco is dead. Voldemort turned him into some sort of monster."

"Then why aren't you helping them?" Harry said, edging closer to Dean.

"I am helping them," Dean replied. "I am also trying to help you."

"I don't need you're help!"

Harry turned and started to walk away.

"Of course you don't. I suppose you have conversations with dead people all the time?"

Harry stopped dead in his tracks. "How do you know?" Harry said, his voice completely different.

"We figured it out-"

"You told the others?" Harry said.

"No, Harry, the others told me-"

"I'm not crazy!" he screamed. Harry was now standing face to face with Dean.

"Harry, let's just get inside," Dean said.

"No. I'm staying here."

"Then I'm afraid I can't give you your wand," Dean said.

Harry laughed and moved in on Dean. "That is not your decision."

"You're right."

Dean threw the wand into the night. "Go and get it."

Harry punched Dean in the face and sprinted towards the beam of light his wand was emitting.

*********

"You know this is entirely your fault?"

Ron turned around, surprised. His heart began to beat very fast. Draco stood before him. Ron took a step back from the filthy, ugly zombie that was once his classmate.

"And how is that? I made your father a crazy arsehole?"

"All I ever wanted was..."

"To snog my sister. I know," Ron cut him off. "Tell someone who cares."

"I will have her," Draco said.

"I'd rather see her dead than with you."

"Then you will."

Draco charged. Ron raised his wand. "Expelliarmus!"

Draco smashed into the wall behind him.

"That hurt," he snarled.

"Get used to the feeling. Incarcerous!"

Chains appeared out of nowhere, connecting Draco's wrists to the ceiling and his ankles to the floor. Ron advanced on him.

"As tempting as it is," Ron said, and with a flick of a wand caused long deep gashes to appear on Draco's shirt and chest, "I won't kill you."

Ron moved his wand again. Gashes appeared on Draco's cheeks. "You'll go to Azkaban. Maybe you'll even get a cell next to your father."

"You always were dumb," Draco said. Ron watched with amazement as he saw his prisoner's wound heal. Draco broke free of the chains easily and punched Ron. Ron flew all the way down the hall until he slammed into the wall. His wand broke.

*********

"Willow, where are we?" Cho said.

"Don't worry. Just take a right here," Willow said, worried. Cho's wand was lighting their way.

"Wait!" Hermione said. The girls stopped. Hermione took a couple of steps forward and kneeled near the circle of light. She fumbled a little in the dark and accidentally touched a door. It moved with a creak. Eventually Hermione found what she was looking for. Hermione raised the wand that was lying on the floor. It was her wand - the one she gave to Ginny. "Something happened to Ginny."

Hermione looked at the door. Quietly, the girls opened it and entered the classroom. The circle of light fell on Ginny.

"Ginny!" Hermione kneeled next to her and checked her pulse. "She's alive."

"I don't get it, why would they just leave her like this, and not, you know..." Willow said.

"Hermione," Cho said tentatively, "there is a chance that she's like Ollivander."

"No, I think I know what happened. Ennervate!"

Ginny woke up. "Where is he?" she asked.

"Ron?" Hermione asked knowingly.

"The stupid git," Ginny said, getting up.

"He went for Draco by himself," Cho said.

"Apparently," Hermione said.

"I'm going," Ginny said, gesturing towards Hermione's wand. "Ron's probably hurt."

"You can't go alone," Hermione said.

"Okay. Just whistle. I'm sure the army of Aurors waiting outside will join us any second," Ginny said.

"Can you two handle the spell by yourselves?" Cho asked.

Willow exchanged a worried look with Hermione.

"Well," Hermione began, "if we won't be bothered it really is no big deal."

"But if Ollivander finds us," Willow said.

"I don't have time for this," Ginny said.

"Go," Hermione told Cho. "We'll hide. We'll manage."

"You sure?" Cho said.

"Yes," Hermione said and handed Ginny her wand.

Cho and Ginny left the room. Hermione and Willow left to find a classroom as far away from the library as possible.

*********

Dean fell to the grass. He shook his head and charged. Dean jumped on Harry. They both fell to the ground.

"Harry, listen to me," Dean said while pinning Harry to the ground. "What you're seeing? It's not real. something is playing -"

Harry rolled over Dean. The wizard grabbed Dean's collar and jammed his head to the ground. "I'm going away. And I need my wand. You are not going to stop me."

Dean smashed his hand into Harry's cheek. Harry toppled over.

"If you care, at all, about your friends, you'll come with me. Now," Dean said, anger rising inside him, both from the cowardice he was seeing before him and from the pain in the back of his head.

Harry stood in front of Dean. "You think all I can do is magic? I played Quidditch for six years, mate," Harry said haughtily.

"Yeah, I heard about your 'sport'. I'm sure all that leaning and reaching really pumped you up."

Harry began thrashing his fists at Dean. Dean ducked, punched Harry's abdomen. Harry doubled over.

"Try swimming for six years. That gets you in shape."

Harry got up slowly, a victorious smile on his face. He was holding his wand.

"You were saying?" Harry smiled. His wand was aimed directly at Dean's heart. Dean took a step back, as apprehension crept into his eyes.

"Look, Harry, you've got all the cards. Ok? Nothing I can do. Will you please come back inside with me?" Dean said.

"You attacked me."

"Hey, you punched me first," Dean replied.

"You're helping them."

"Then why would I bring you your wand, Harry?"

Harry examined his wand. "Maybe it was tampered with."

"That's-," Dean paused for a second. "You know, it might have been tampered with."

"So you admit?"

Dean sighed. "Yes. I tampered with your wand, I'm the big bad, whatever. Why don't you take me to your friends so you can all interrogate me. Together."

"I don't get it."

"That's because you're not listening!" Dean screamed. "Cho is in there! And Ron, and Ginny and Hermione! Trapped with an evil zombie monster who used to be your," Dean remembered Harry and Draco fighting in the house, "er, acquaintance. And you don't care. I understand you had a rough time, but you can't let yourself be manipulated like this! Harry-"

It was then, that Dean noticed Harry wasn't listening to him anymore. He was staring intently into the night.

"What are you doing here? How-," Harry asked, an excited yet disbelieving expression on his face.

Lily answered first. "We came to take you with us, Harry. We missed you so much these past years."

James Potter put a comforting hand on his wife's shoulder. His Hazel eyes shining behind his clear glasses. They seemed very excited. They were standing a couple of feet away from Harry.

"Mum... I... But, this can't be. You're," Harry began.

"Dead," Lily answered. "Yes. But we don't have to be. This is a grand night, Harry. We could be together before sunrise."

Dean was eyeing Harry suspiciously. He looked almost hypnotized. Dean noticed that Harry loosened the grip on his wand. Dean started to edge towards him slowly. He decided the best plan was to get Harry to chase him back inside.

"How?" Harry said, tears of joy trickling down his face.

Dean crept behind Harry.

Lily lowered her head, her red hair covering her face. "You know, there are people trying to keep us apart," Lily said in a sorrowful voice. "We need to stop them."

"Who...? What do you mean?"

Dean sent his hand, towards Harry's wand.

"Harry..." Lily's green eyes shined. "Behind you."

Harry immediately turned around. He placed his wand against Dean's throat with one swift movement. "What were you trying to do?"

"Harry, help me find Hermione," Dean practically begged him.

Harry turned around to where his parents stood. They were gone. Dean used this lapse of concentration to push Harry's arm and wand out of his way.

"Expelliarmus!"

Dean jumped out of the way as the assaulted Harry yelled an incantation.

"Harry!" James called. He was closer to Harry, though still out of reach.

"Listen to me, your mother disappeared."

"Where did she go?" Harry answered. His green eyes searching the surroundings frantically.

"Harry, she had to go back. Because he interfered," James said in a regretful tone.

For the second time tonight, pure anger began to swell inside Harry.

"Son, you can't let him interfere," James said with the tone of a father pointing out to his son what he did wrong.

"I won't, I won't," Harry began mumbling. James disappeared. Harry turned around. He couldn't see Dean.

Dean was sitting huddled on the ground behind Harry. He saw the wizard talking to someone. Obviously, The First was back. This was going to be tricky.

*********

"Draco!" Ginny called. "Draco!"

She and Cho took a turn and saw Draco holding Ron by neck, with the redhead's feet dangling a foot from the ground. Ron's face was covered with blue bruises, his shirt was soaked with blood and his arm stuck out in a weird angle.

"Expelliarmus!" the girls said at the same time. Ron flew backwards into the wall and Draco fell on his back.

"Get Ron out of here, I'll stall Draco," Ginny ordered. Cho opened her mouth to argue. "Don't argue, Cho. I've got my wand and my brains. Get Ron to safety and make sure the girls get the spell right."

Cho ran towards Ron. Draco noticed Ginny.

"I'm the Weasley you're really looking for," Ginny said.

Draco lifted his head and began to walk towards her, ignoring Cho. As he approached her, silvery blonde hair began to sprout of his scalp, color began to fill his eyes, his skin grew and his claws shrank.

"Why did you come here?" Draco drawled. It was almost as though they were back at Hogwarts.

"I was looking for you," Ginny answered. Draco was getting close. She took a few surreptitious steps back.

"Really? And why would do a thing like that?"

*********

Cho sneaked past Draco and reached Ron. "Ron? Ron? Are you okay?" Cho asked.

Ron coughed as he awoke. Cho noticed a big cut in his thigh that was bleeding freely. Ron tried to speak. "Geh 'er auo ov 'ere."

"Sorry, Ron," Cho said. She conjured a small bandage and began to wrap it where Ron's pants where ripped, around the cut. "You'll have to leave her be. You need help."

"No!" Ron began to sit up, but it caused him too much pain. Cho pushed him back down gently. His resistance was minor.

"I'm going to try and stop the bleeding. Then I'll float you out of here," Cho said and placed her hand above the cut. She closed her eyes and concentrated.

*********

"I needed to see if any part of you still existed," Ginny said.

"And what do you think, little weasel?" Draco said. He took another step.

Ginny raised her wand. "Don't come any closer."

"Scared?"

"No. I just don't want to have to kill you," Ginny said.

"You think I can be saved, Ginerva? How noble of you. Face it. You couldn't redeem me when I wasn't a demon."

"I didn't want to. I don't help those who don't want to be helped."

Draco took another step towards her. "What makes you think I want to be helped now?"

"Step back, Draco."

"Or what?"

"Expelliarmus!!" Ginny shouted with all her might. Draco flew straight into the wall, causing a big hole in it. There was a classroom on the wall's other side.

Ginny looked at the hole, expecting. Nothing happened.

Silence.

Ginny turned to look around, pausing at each direction, concentrating at each shadow. She knew where Cho and her brother were - a little down the hall and then left - but they were out of sight. Ginny turned back to face the hole in the wall.

"Draco! Show yourself!" Ginny called as she took a small, hesitant step towards the hole.

A piece from the rubble on the floor flew and hit Ginny in the stomach, knocking the wind out of her. She stumbled backwards.

After his airborne assault Draco stood up and with inhuman quickness pinned Ginny to the opposite wall.

"Do you want to redeem me now?" Draco said and threw her through the hole into the class room. She dropped her wand. Ginny fell on a table and rolled off it causing the table to fall also in the process. She stood up and began to edge away from Draco.

"Stay away from me," Ginny said with raw anger. Her lip was bleeding.

"Come on, Ginny! Don't give up on me now!"

Ginny pushed a table with her leg. It hit Draco in the stomach. He simply tossed it to the other side of the room.

Ginny's back was against the wall.

Draco sniffed the air. "You smell that?"

"Your rotting corpse?" Ginny said.

Draco smiled. "You're afraid. But, there's something else in the air..." Draco sniffed once again, this time he concentrated. His eyes opened with realization. "Lust."

"I didn't know Zombies could get delusional," Ginny said with the utmost contempt. It was brave of her, and not at all easy, to keep a cool front while Draco's face was standing merely a few inches from hers, with his hands leaning on the wall from either side of her head.

"Don't try to deny it, Weasley. It was noticeable even back at Hogwarts. I saw you looking at me."

Ginny looked straight at Draco's gray eyes. "You always were handsome. And with that body..." Ginny placed her hands on Draco's abs. "Oh yes, I looked at you a lot..."

Ginny hands slid down even further. "But then..." Ginny grabbed Draco's 'family jewels', as Fred calls them, and began to squeeze. Draco groaned with pain. "My brain would kick in and I would start to vomit till I got every mental image of you out of my mind."

Draco grabbed her and tossed her across the room like someone would through a paper plane into the air. Ginny landed near the hole in the wall. She tried to escape. Draco kicked one table, which hit another one, which hit another one until the fifth link of the chain smashed into Ginny and sent her into the wall. Ginny collapsed to the floor. In a matter of seconds Draco was on top of her.

Ginny began thrashing her fists at the creature on top of her. She was kicking whatever part of its body she could find. Draco didn't seem very bothered. He slapped her across the face, and then held both of her wrists in one hand. He wrapped his legs around hers, placing his crotch next to hers. He bent down and sniffed her hair.

"Don't worry, Ginny. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I got a few compliments back when I was human..."

Ginny spat in his eye. "I hope you'll have the most painful death anyone or anything ever had since the dawn of the time."

Then she began to scream. "Help! Someone! Ron!"

Draco raised his hand. "Silencio!"

Ginny was muted.

"Shut up," Draco said and leaned down to kiss her. Ginny closed her mouth, but he used his free hand to stabilize her face. He pried open her lips with his tongue. Then he slid his hand down her neck on to her breasts.

Ginny bit down on his tongue as hard as she could. Draco pulled away quickly. He punched her in the face again. Ginny barely stayed conscious.

Draco ripped away Ginny's shirt. He began kissed her chest, while taking off his own pants.

Ginny began to cry silently. She shifted her head away, looking anywhere but the person on top of her. She looked at the exit. She noticed her wand was almost in her reach. Ginny stretched her arms towards it.

Draco lowered his head even further as he began to rip off Ginny's pants. As he lifted her, Ginny wriggled slightly towards her weapon. Draco took no notice as he took Ginny's pants off completely. Ginny closed her hand on her wand. She pointed it at her throat and concentrated on the counter spell.

Then she pinned it to Draco's head.

"Reducto!"

Ginny Heard a loud crack as Draco jumped away holding his head. Blood was spilling into his eyes. However, after a few moments he seemed to have healed himself.

"Expelliarmus!!" Ginny shouted, with more power then she ever imagined she had. Draco flew out the window and then about ten feet into the yard.

Ginny stood on the window sill. "Avada Kedavra!" Ginny shouted in a doubtless voice. The green light hit Draco in the chest. But as he was already dead, it had no effect. Draco began to stand up.

"Impedimenta!" Ginny shouted. Draco began to move towards her, but then slowed down considerably.

Ginny left the classroom quickly.

*********

"Cho! Is he okay?" Ginny asked.

"Yeah, he's unconscious but he stopped blee-" Cho turned to face a very shaken Ginny, who was wearing nothing but her undergarments. "What happened to you?"

"You don't wanna know," Ginny said and conjured some clothes.

"Ginny," Cho began.

"Look, let's just get out of her," Ginny said.

Cho made Ron float and the three of them began to search the maze of dark hallways.

*********

"Dean!" Harry screamed, "Dean! Where are you?"

Dean wondered what brought upon this sudden spurt of cooperation. It was quite a sudden change in attitude, Dean thought. However, Dean couldn't think of a different tactic so...

"I'm here, Harry," Dean said clearly as he stood up. The circle of light fell on him.

"Good. Go away," Harry said.

Dean took a step towards Harry. "I'm not going back there without you."

Harry sliced the air with his wand. Dean leaned forwards as a something ripped diagonally across his shirt and chest.

"Dean, go away," Harry said as he walked in Dean's direction. His face was cold and determined.

"I'm not going back to that school without you," Dean began. He was forced to stop when Harry moved his wand again, and another gash formed on Dean's chest, in opposite direction to the first one, creating a bloody 'X'.

"You will not stop me from seeing them," Harry said coolly.

Dean paused. "Who? Harry, from seeing who?"

Harry made another movement with his wand. Dean fell to the ground, a blue spot forming on his right cheek, as he spat blood on the ground.

"This your last chance, I-,"

Dean cut him and slowly began to stand up. "It's showing you your parents, isn't it?"

Harry made another gesture with his wand and Dean's legs flew back backwards and he landed, face first, onto the ground.

"If you won't go now," Harry twirled his wand, until its edge was a mere few centimeters from Dean's head.

"Harry, they aren't your parents! They aren't real!" Dean screamed.

Harry pushed the tip of his wand against Dean's head. "That's it. Avada-"

Dean used his remaining strength to tackle Harry's legs, thus making him topple over. Harry entangled himself from Dean's grip and they stood up to face each other.

"Harry, I know what its like-" Dean began.

"No you don't!" Harry screamed.

"Yes I do!" Dean screamed back. "You feel robbed. You know that something, someone has taken away not just your parents, but a whole life that you'll never have! And you wonder, ten thousand times a day, how different it could have been! What would you have played with him? What would you two have in common? What would you have talked about? Fought about? Where would you go together? How you'd be different? Stronger, or weaker? More assertive or more spoiled? But the thing is, the cruelty of it all is, that you will never know. You have no chance of ever knowing what it could have been like."

Dean took a deep breath. "You want to kill me, Harry? Go ahead. But don't say I don't know what you're talking about."

They looked deep into each others eyes, until a voice tore Harry's gaze away.

"He doesn't have one, so he doesn't want you to have a father," Lily said. "I don't think that's fair."

Dean noticed that Harry was looking into the darkness again.

"Harry! Harry! Look at me!" Dean called quickly. Harry half glanced in his direction. "If they were your parents wouldn't they hug you? Kiss you?"

Harry looked at his mother.

"We can't Harry, not yet," she said.

Dean wiped rain out of his eyes. Then something clicked. Non corporeal. Harry was still looking at The First. "Harry! Look at them! Wouldn't they be wet?"

Even Harry couldn't ignore this anymore. He noticed his father's glasses had no drops on them and that his mother's hair was completely dry. After he blinked, The First tried to correct this error - Lily's red hair was now darker and soaking wet, clinging to her head and neck. James' glasses were covered with little drops of rain.

"Harry," Lily began to explain. But Dean held Harry and turned him away from the first.

"Harry," Dean said calmly, "would your parents really ask you to kill a kid? Wouldn't they tell you to bind him or... Paralyze him, or whatever? Think."

Harry closed his eyes. For a second the only sound the two of them could hear was the rain pouring down.

"Harry," Lily and James said together, with warmth that can not be found outside of the family circle.

Harry opened his eyes and turned to face his parents.

"Get out of my face."

Dean sighed with relief and collapsed to the floor. Harry smiled at him and offered his hand to help him up. Then they heard a cold, high pitched voice.

"Well, I must say, this isn't the outcome I hoped for," Voldemort said as he walked serenely on the field. "However, the errors will be rectified soon."

"Avada Kadavra!" Harry shouted. A green jet shot out from the tip of his wand. Effortlessly, Voldemort conjured a shield that reflected the light towards the seats. They burst into flame.

"My, my, angry are we?" Voldemort smiled.

"Dean, go take care of the others. I can't leave and they need help," Harry said without taking his eyes off Voldemort.

"Harry, I think I'm needed here," Dean said apprehensively, as he saw the snake-man approach. It wasn't Voldemort's disfigured face that scared Dean the most. It was the calmness in which someone could walk on a night like this.

"You can't help me here, go," Harry said.

"Arrogant, are we?" Voldemort said. "Well, you are a Leo. Not that I put much faith in such rubbish."

Reluctantly, Dean began to head towards the school.

"Well, it is a part of Divination," Harry replied, trying to adopt the same calm and playful tone his nemesis was employing. "Actually, Trelawney should get her dues. After all, she is the one who sort of organized this little match, I mean - Avada Kedavra!"

Once again, a green light shot out of Harry's wand. Once again Voldemort reflected it, this time, sending it directly at Harry.

Harry dodged the curse, but before he could stabilize himself -

"Avade Kedavra!"

Voldemort sent another green light at precisely the point where Harry would finish his escape. Harry froze in his spot, realizing the green light was coming his way, learning he has no chance of escaping it in time, accepting his loss... Then he was pinned to the floor by Dean. The light grazed his back. Dean would later find out he has a hole in the back of his shirt.

The two boys quickly stood up.

"Thanks," Harry said breathlessly. "Now go. This is something I need to do alone."

"I hope you're right," Dean said and sprinted towards the school. He paused just to bend and pick up his axe.

"Ah, alone at last," Voldemort said.

*********

Buffy was checking the cafeteria. She was walking carefully between the chairs, alert, looking in all directions. She noticed Angel standing near the buffet a second before he spoke.

"You know, I lived on rat blood for a couple of years and I still wouldn't touch anything here."

Buffy examined him. She was trying to find something different, something new. "That would probably be a smart thing to do."

Angel turned around. "What's the matter, Summers? Usually I'd be fending a stake off my chest by now. You haven't gone soft, I hope."

"I just know how much you like to hear yourself talk. I want you to enjoy your final moments."

Angel smiled. "Aren't we just a little bit cocky?"

"Maybe. Wanna find out?" Buffy took her stake out of her back pocket.

They examined each other for a short while afterwards and then began their fight. Buffy tried to punch him, but he blocked her. He tried to pummel her stomach but she dodged him, turned around and hit his back sending him away from her. There were a couple of feet between them again.

Angel tried to punch her. She ducked and aimed a kick to his abdomen. He caught her foot, but before he could push her she leaned on his hand, and kicked him in the face. He withdrew his hand and she fell to the floor as he stumbled backwards. He reached her quickly and he kicked her while she was still on the floor. Buffy flew on a table and rolled off it. She stood up and kicked the table. It hit Angel in his stomach. Buffy stood on the table preparing to attack, but Angel pulled the table from beneath her. Buffy jumped backwards and landed far from the vampire.

"Aren't you supposed to have superpowers?" Angel asked.

"Aren't you supposed to kill me?"

"I'm in no hurry," Angel said.

Buffy arched her eyebrows. "What do you mean?"

"In less then an hour, Voldemort will kill that kid. There will be three wizard zombies in this school and the only person who can stop them, will be dead. It's going to be one hell of a party."

"You heard about the prophecy?" Buffy asked.

"Yeah. 'Either must die at the hand of the other, for neither can live while the other survives'. But come on, what are the chances of scrawny boy?"

Buffy felt a strong rush of sympathy for Harry. She had to help him, no matter what the prophecy said. She had no idea how Hermione's spell was coming about and couldn't stay to find out. If this prophecy is fulfilled, well, Buffy would prefer that Harry is the one who survives. She decided to make sure that's how things turn out.

Buffy turned around and headed towards the exit.

"Where are you going, Buff? The fun's just begun?"

"I'm not going to fight you now, Angel."

"You're going to help Harry. Isn't that noble."

"Yes."

"And leave your friends here, for me to kill? I gotta admit, Buff, I love this new irresponsible side of yours."

"You'll be alright," Buffy said. She regretted it immediately.

"It's not me I'm worried about," Angel paused as his brain figured out Buffy's remark. "The witches are doing a spell."

Angel realized it was true as he read Buffy's face. He sprinted back into the school. Buffy remained in the middle of the cafeteria, trying to decide which direction to go.
