The Dark Heirs of Lord Voldemort
Chapter 1: The New Kids
"It looks like we have some more transfer students," Hermione said, pointing to the front of the room. "I heard Professor Snape say that they have been closing down all the school down by Rome and Italy. He said it's because there have been rumors of You-Know-Who saying that he's come back and he's seeking revenge."
"You don't think that he's trying to get revenge on me? Do You?" Harry inquired while looking at the new transfers.
"Probably, but why would he be hanging out by Italy?" Hermione told Harry while reaching for the bowl of mashed potatoes.
"I dunno? Where's Ron anyways?"
"He said he had to go somewhere."
"Oh right,"
All of a sudden the sorting hat started to sort the new students into their new houses. "Alexia M. DeTraglia ...Slytherin! James M. DeTraglia. Slytherin as well. Sergio Santini, Gryffindor! George Montalvo, Ravenclaw! Araceli DeTraglia-Alba....Slytherin ---" The sorting hat continued to call out names. One by one the transfers went to their tables.
Meanwhile on the other side of the room...
"Araceli can you pass me my transformation book back?" James snapped while he looked over to his little cousin. "You don't even get to have transformation class yet."
"Wait I'm still reading it!" Araceli pulled the book out of James' hands as he tried to grab the book away.
"Oh just give him the damn book, Araceli." Alexia snapped her fingers and the book slowly flew towards James.
"Thanks Lexi," He put the book in his bag and noticed that everyone was staring at them. "What the hell are you staring at?"
"What was that about?" Harry told Hermione confused and yet shocked.
"Oh I forgot to tell. You know those three new transfer students over there." She quickly pointed to the Slytherin table. "Araceli DeTraglia-Alba, James, and Alexia DeTraglia."
"Yeah, what about them?"
"Well they're all telekinesis. First class of Merlin too."
"What the hell is that?" Harry asked.
"It means they can use their mind to move objects, read minds, and disappear and reappear like that." Hermione snapped her finger while Harry ate his soup. After Harry finished eating, he hurried to the corridors. Hermione is such an annoying person. I can't believe Ron actually likes her. Harry then let out a small laugh. Suddenly he bumped into someone...It was Alexia.
"Watch where you're going next time," Alexia yelled while picking up her luggage.
"Sorry. I wasn't paying much attention. Let me help you with that." He stopped and stared at Alexia. Wow! She's quite beautiful up close. I love her eyes.
"Well are you going to help me or not?"
Alexia has lovely sparkling hazel eyes, long reddish hair, and a good sense in style.
Finally there's one good-looking witch around here.
Chapter 2: The Dark Past
Harry helped Alexia with her luggage. They walked all the way to the Slytherin house and stopped outside. "Well thanks for the help, Harry."
"Yeah I guess I'll see you around---"
"Alexia. Alexia M. DeTraglia."
"Right. Bye." Harry quickly headed down stairs to the Gryffindor house.
"Password?" answered an old portrait of a dark sorcerer.
Bloody hell I forgot the password, Alexia thought while she tried to figure out something.
"Goblin's wort," said a deep voice. It was Draco. Apparently he was alone. "Well if it isn't Alexia DeTraglia. Don't tell me you're going to be in Slytherin."
"I'm going to be in Slytherin indeed, Draco. I'm surprise you were accepted by Hogwarts at all."
"Well at least I'm not a freak like you DeTraglia. Don't tell me Travis came too."
"Travis stayed at Sudca Academy to finish his last year there. But don't worry Draco I'll be sure to tell him you said hey."
"Where are the rest of the idiots?"
"I believe Crabbe & Goyle are still down stairs."
Draco gave Alexia a cold stare in the eyes. He turned around and said, "Don't tell me you're going to start and hang around with Potter, Alexia. Because Slytherins don't hang around with Potter."
"Draco just because you're my neighbor doesn't mean you can tell me what's right or wrong!" Alexia yelled as slowly calmed herself down. She sat on the couch. Draco sat down next to her.
Draco got closer and closer and whispered, "I know you're scared of what might happen here Alexia. I know your little history. But I'm just trying to tell you that you shouldn't be hanging around with idiots like Harry Potter." Draco stopped and looked at Alexia's shimmering hazel eyes. He slowly laid his lips on Alexia's and kissed her.
Alexia was shocked for a moment but then said, "What the hell is wrong with you Draco? If you ever try to kiss me again I swear I'll--"
"Oh shut up DeTraglia, you know you enjoyed it."
"What do you mean 'enjoyed it'? Err...Just stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours. Okay?" The luggage flew in mid-air up the stairs and Alexia followed. "Stupid Bastard!" she yelled at him.
Draco and Alexia knew each other for a long time. Draco lived right by Alexia. Although Alexia's family was much richer than Draco's he never admitted it. Alexia lived with her mother and grandmother, and had three brothers Daniel, Travis, and of course James. Draco sometimes wanted to tell Alexia how he felt about her, but she always seemed go away whenever he'd come into the room.
A few moments later James and Araceli came through the portrait.
"Well if it isn't the other DeTraglias. Araceli and James," Draco said sarcastically.
"Just shut the hell up Draco. I already heard your stupid comments back home." James hurried up the stairs while little Araceli gathered her things.
"There you are James. What took you so long?" Alexia asked as she heard her brother coming.
"Sergio and George wanted me to see something. What's wrong with you?"
"Nothing just unpacking." Alexia replied.
James shrugged and said, "Well tell me when you done unpacking."
Alexia continued unpacking her belongings. Suddenly she whispered a few words and everything was unpacked and organized. She turned on her lamp and pulled out a small wooden box. It was a lovely maple color and it had gorgeous designs. On the top of the box was a blue moon and golden letters that read "DeTraglia". Alexia opened the box and looked inside. It had letters on the top that read "Alexia Marvolo DeTraglia". There were also some bottles filled with potions, letters, a journal, and a small little photo album.
She carefully took out the album and opened it to the first page. There was a picture of Alexia and her three brothers on the page. Her older brothers Daniel and Travis seemed to be fighting while Alexia and James were bored to death. It was when James and Alexia were only seven years old.
On the next page was a picture of her mom and dad. The both seemed to be smiling at each other.
Alexia turned the browse through the pages. There were pictures of her brothers, her cousins, her parents, and her grandparents.
She didn't get to see her brothers that often on the count of Travis went to a different school, and Daniel worked in the Italian Ministry of Magic. Travis was around sixteen years old and Daniel was about nineteen. They all had colored eyes and dark hair.
Alexia's father died when she was only five and her mother never got over it. Alexia never forgot her father, though.
She finally stopped at her last page. It was a photo of her father and her baby self, waving at the camera. A tear slowly went down her cheek. She carefully but back the book and got ready for bed. Some of the other Slytherin girls were already asleep so Alexia turned off her lamp and went to sleep. Little by little she took of her ring. It was an old family heirloom. But she stopped and closely examined it. It seemed to be glowing. It hasn't glowed in nine years. Maybe, just Maybe it could be... Her train of thought was disturbed by someone's snoring. She shook her head and went to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I'm late," Alexia said while she looked at the time. She quickly got dressed and then remembered there were no classes. She then noticed that her ring wasn't glowing anymore. With that she headed to the common room.
"James! James!" Alexia cried as she came down the stairs. Apparently James was down stairs reading a book. Draco was there too but he happened to be writing something.
"What's wrong Alexia," James said confused while he held a letter in his hand. "Oh mom sent us a letter."
"Let me see,"
"Fine." Alexia read the letter. Her mother just wanted to congratulate them and told them that she was very proud of them. Alexia finished the letter and gave it back to her brother.
"So what were you going to say Alexia?" James asked while he placed the letter back in the envelope.
"Remember that ring that my mother gave to me when I was little," Alexia whispered.
"Yeah what about it?"
"Well it was glowing the other night, like it did the day before my dad died. Maybe just maybe something bad might happen again."
"Let me see the ring," James picked up the ring and saw nothing. "Well it's not glowing anymore."
"I know, but this is how it was the night before my dad died."
"So maybe it glows at night and you barely noticed it last night."
"It's not a glow-in-the-dark ring James." Alexia replied upset.
"Maybe?"
"Well I'm going down to the Great Hall to get some food. Ciao!" Alexia left in a dash.
Apparently Sergio was there. Although Sergio was James friend, he was also Alexia's friend as well. She sat down next to him and started to talk.
"So how is the Gryffindor house like?" Alexia asked.
"It's okay, a bit weird though."
"Oh. Well I'm going to go do some homework in the library, wanna come?"
"No thanks I'm waiting for George and James to come down. But thanks for the offer."
"No problem. Well Ciao!"
"Ciao!" And Sergio watched as Alexia left.
Alexia sat down in a corner reading a book called Simple spells for Telekinesis. She suddenly noticed Draco coming. He carelessly came over. "What do you want?"
"Nothing I just wanted to check out a book." Draco pretended to look for a book. Alexia just kept an eye on him. Then he walked back to Alexia and said something. "Okay maybe there is something I want to ask you?"
"What it is? It better not be something idiotic."
