The wizard known as Harry Potter kneeled in his dark bedroom next to a half empty trunk, bowing over the remnants of a broken mirror.

Just do it. It's all your fault. You killed Sirius. No one will miss you, certainly not your bloody relatives.

Ron will miss me. I know him.

Please, you know how Ron feels about Hermione, how he's jealous of you.

He would still miss me.

Would he? He's probably with Hermione right now.

What about Hermione?

She cares more about house elves than you.

Hagrid cares.

He has Grawp now. He won't have time for you. You know how he feels, "Blood is thicker than water".

There's Dumbledore.

He thinks you're just a liability.

The Prophesy-

Trelawney is a fraud and you know it. Dumbledore didn't even want to continue teaching divination at Hogwarts. Just end it. You killed Sirius with your stupidity, because of your half-assed rescue mission. You fell right into Voldemort's trap.

Harry's right hand slowly descended upon a jagged piece of the mirror.

Go on. You fucked up completely. You had the mirror all along. You could have talked to him and known it was a trap. You put your friends in danger for nothing.

We helped capture the Death Eaters.

They'll escape soon if they haven't already. Finish it coward.

The icy glass was now laid upon his left wrist.

You could never defeat Voldemort anyway. You saw him fight Dumbledore. Let the Order deal with him. There is no one in this world for you. Move on.

He had pressed so hard with the glass it pierced the skin. Blood was trickling from the small wound.

That's right. You heard the whispers behind the veil. Go be with Sirius. He needs you. Meet you parents. They are waiting.

Sirius....my parents.....

Harry knew he had to do it. He closed his eyes. Just as the cold blade moved a millimeter through the flesh, His scar erupted; all Harry knew was a high-pitched cackling. It cleared Harry's mind faster than being splashed with cold water. Voldemort had been listening. This is what he wants. He almost won.

I can't let this happen. I can't be selfish. I've been stupid. I know Ron and Hermione would miss me if I was gone. Dumbledore respects me, the portrait said just that. Dumbledore also believes in the prophesy, it must be true. I must put an end to Voldemort's tyranny. The Bastard. I've escaped him five times. I think I can beat him once. Besides, I know Sirius and my parents wouldn't want me to do it.

The mirror fragment fell to the floor and splintered. The Boy Who Lived five times stayed hunched in the middle of his dark prison until a faint light entered through the window. He slowly gathered the mirror together, moved to the dustbin, and let the pieces tumble inward. It was then that Harry accepted Sirius' fate. He could start dealing with it.

Goodbye, Sirius. Harry said aloud. It had a final tone to it.

Harry collapsed on his bed for how long he laid there he did not know. Finally, he slowly dressed and walked to the door, resigning himself to a day of Dursleys. Though he had won, he felt defeated.

There it is. What Harry thought about Trelawney is not true. Harry was just feeling worthless. Okay Reviewers, HAVE AT IT!! Thanks to favorite/only beta Quiet Fire.
