Chapter Eight

Harry got up from the bed and walked to the kitchen. He made himself a cup of coffee, knowing that Draco wouldn't wake up for an hour or so.

After reading the Daily Prophet Harry left the kitchen and walked to Draco's room. He paused at the door and leaned against the doorframe. Draco looked beautiful when he was sleeping. He loved to watch him sleep whenever he had a chance.

Draco was lying on his back. The sheet just barely above his hips. Harry pushed himself off the doorframe and sat on the edge of the bed.

He reached out and touched Draco's shoulder. Draco didn't seem to wake up so Harry traced his fingers down Draco's arm and chest.

Draco stirred a little and Harry froze but Draco didn't wake up. Suddenly he noticed something odd. He started to lift the cover and saw that Draco had a tattoo on his hip. He hadn't seen it there before, how odd.

Then suddenly Draco grabbed his hand forcefully.

"What are you doing?" Draco asked fully awake and smirking.

"I...I just noticed that you have a tattoo. I just wanted to look at it." Harry knew that he was a terrible liar when he was caught red handed but it was worth of a shot.

"Right. What time is it?" Draco asked and looked around.

"Only nine."

"Could you make some coffee?"

"Yeah, sure," Harry said and went back to the kitchen.

He made some fresh coffee for Draco. He didn't know why he bothered. Draco could have done it himself but he had some strange phobia for muggle devices and it sure didn't make working with him any easier.

Draco came in the kitchen as Harry poured his mug full.

"Harry I must tell you something," Draco said.

"You don't have second thoughts, do you?" Harry looked worried.

"No but I'm sure you'll have when you hear what I have to say," Draco answered and lowered his gaze away from Harry's.

"Nothing you say will chance my feelings because I know you, Draco. I know the real you and I like you because of that," Harry said and raised Draco's chin so that he could look into his eyes.

"Please, don't say anything you'll have to take back later."

"Now you, Draco, really are scaring me. Tell me what's wrong?" Harry took Draco's hands into his own and kissed Draco's knuckles softly. Draco's eyes were filling with tears when he thought that Harry might be doing that for the last time.

"Come on, let's sit down," Harry led Draco to the living-room and they sat on the couch.

Harry waited patiently Draco to start. Draco opened his mouth twice before he actually said anything.

"I have an intimacy problem."

Harry's brows furrowed. He hadn't noticed Draco being uncomfortable while they kissed or pleasured each other. He squeezed Draco's hand reassuringly.

"It took me a long time to even let Mike to touch me, but I trust you, Harry. I know you wouldn't hurt me," Draco said, returning the gesture.

"I was supposed to become a Death Eater but I said no," Draco swallowed before continuing, "my father, he didn't accept my choice, he...he beat the crap out of me and then he...he...." It was too painful to say it out loud. Harry pulled him into a hug and held him close.

Draco gathered all his strength to say what had to be said. He knew he had to say it someday and now was a perfect chance to do so.

"He raped me," Draco said crying against Harry's chest.

"Oh, Draco.." Harry tightened his hold of Draco.

Draco didn't know how long they stayed like that but when he had run out of tears, Harry pulled back and dried the remaining tears with his thumbs. Their eyes locked and Draco saw no hint of pity in Harry's. Draco knew he must look like a wreck.

"Don't look at me like that," Draco said quietly and tried to look away but Harry didn't let him go.

"Like what?" Harry asked smiling at him gently.

Draco looked miserable and tears were running down his cheeks again.

"Don't cry. You'll get me crying, too if you keep that up," Harry said and was trying to cheer Draco up.

Draco smiled weakly and rested his head on Harry's shoulder.

"I can't imagine what I would do if you had pushed me away after what I said."

"You really thought that I would hit a man when he's down?" Harry asked.

Draco didn't know what to say so he stayed silent. Harry pushed him back a little and kissed him before he could protest. Draco knew that Harry would accept him as the way he was. It didn't matter what had happened in the past because they were living in the present.

Epilogue

A Few Years Later

"Nervous?"

"Yeah," Harry was twiddling nervously with his tie. It was like a snake slithering around his neck never staying put. He even tried to talk with it but it didn't obey him.

"Don't worry. It's gonna be all right. You aren't backing out, are you?" Ron asked his hand on Harry's shoulder.

"No, but what if he doesn't love me?" Harry looked Ron desperately. He was almost crying.

"Of course he does. Don't be stupid. He wouldn't have answered 'yes' to your proposal if he wasn't serious about this." Ron stopped Harry from ruining his tie and put it straight for him.

"But, but, what if he doesn't show up? What if he leaves me in front of all the guests?" Harry was getting paranoid.

"Harry." Ron grabbed Harry's shoulders and he was tempted to shook him, too. "I can't believe I'm saying this but he loves you and you him."

"But we haven't.. been together yet. What if he finds me unattractive after tonight?" Harry blushed slightly. He wasn't use to talk about these kind of things with Ron.

Ron sighed and tried to push the revolting images of Harry and Malfoy out of his head.

"Harry, I'm sure that won't happen. He must have seen you naked at some point. You are sharing a flat together, aren't you?" Ron said and gladly he didn't turn green nor puked.

"Come on, we must be going. The ceremony is about to start," Tom appeared at the door way wearing a similar clothes with Ron because they were Harry's bestmen.

"Okay," Harry replied and looked more nervous than before.

He turned to Ron. "If he leaves me now, you'll kick his arse, won't you?"

"Of course, mate." Ron clapped Harry's back and they went to face the crowd.

Harry's heart was pumping fast. Too fast to be healthy. His palms we sweating and the shirt was sticking to his back. Then he saw Draco. He was beautiful. That was the only thing he knew when they were married. He didn't remember what he said or did at the ceremony. The only thing that mattered was Draco and that now they were joined to one another for eternity.
