Chapter 7

(My very own Jedi Wizard)

Hermione was in the shower when she heard a knock on the door. Thinking it was Oliver, she wrapped a towel around herself and went to open it. She immediately regretted it though. Oh, Oliver was there, of course, but none other than the boy that her cat had attacked, Harry Potter, accompanied him.

"Oh, sorry to bother you 'Mione, didn't know you were...." Oliver tried apologizing, but she cut him off.

"What's he doing here?" Hermione asked, glancing at Harry, who wouldn't take his eyes off her.

"Oh, this is Harry Potter."

"I know who he is, I'm just wondering what's he doing in my room," she barked.

"His room too," Oliver squeaked. Suffice to say that Harry was paying no attention, for his eyes hadn't left Hermione's wet curves for a minute.

"Excuse me? What do you mean HIS ROOM TOO!???" she screamed, making Harry jump in the process..

"Can we come in and have a rationalized talk, without screams nor insults?" Oliver begged.

"You can come in, he stays there."

"I won't leave him alone in the middle of a deserted hall," he stated, making Hermione sigh in frustration.

"Fine, just let me get dressed." With this said, she retired to the bathroom while Oliver and Harry entered the dormitory. Harry noticed that she had chosen the left side of the room, the one with the door to the private common room.

Suddenly, Oliver's voice broke his thoughts.

"So, like your new room?"

"Don't like my roommate," Harry replied automatically.

"Funny you should mention that since you didn't take your eyes off her for a minute."

"I was looking beyond her, towards the room."

"Towards her legs is more like it."

"Look Oliver..." In that moment Hermione came out, interrupting them.

"So, would you care to explain why is this his room? As far as I know he graduated from Dumstrang already." Hermione had addressed Oliver, but it was Harry who responded to her question.

"Actually, I'm your Jedi Wizard, Miss Granger. I'll be here throughout the entire summer and school year to keep you safe from Voldemort. I'm also the Gryffindor Quidditch captain and the Head Boy so this is my room as well." Harry's explanation made Hermione's anger increase, which wasn't very wise.

"Well, you know what Potter? I don't need a Jedi Wizard! I have 150 percent in every class, I have mastered every single spell there is to know and I am PERFECTLY CAPABLE OF DEFENDING MYSELF!" she barked and if looks could kill , he'd be dead and buried by now .

"By the looks of it, you can't. Both of your parents were killed under your own roof and you weren't capable of doing a thing about it," he pointed out in an uncharacteristically calm manner. Hermione's face turned red with rage. He had hit a sour spot.

"Now, now, let's not be hasty...." Oliver tried to intervene; key word being 'tried'.

"Butt out!" Harry and Hermione shouted in unison, throwing deadly glares at him. Now was Hermione's turn to speak.

"Listen Potter, don't talk of what you don't know. Besides, if my memory serves me right, you barely know how to handle a wand."

"Excuse me?"

"You heard me. I know that you don't remember me but I remember you. If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't have reached the end of your second year."

"Uh? What are you talking about?" he asked. Of course, he knew what this was all about, but he wasn't about to give her the pleasure of winning this .

"Oh, does Potter have a bad memory? Don't worry, I'll refresh it," Hermione assured with angry sarcasm and took her wand from her dresser. She pointed it at Harry's chest, lifting his long sleeved white shirt. (He had changed since her cat had ripped his sweater.) In the right side of his abdomen stood another lightning bolt shaped scar much like the one on his forehead.

"Remember how you got that or do I need to be more specific?"

"I still don't know what you're talking about."

This time, Hermione didn't buy his statement. Only a moron...well, he actually was one. But if he wanted to play it that way, then two could play this game.

"Fine, if that's the way you want to play it." Hermione looked from Harry to Oliver, determination sparkling in her chestnut eyes. "Oliver, remember how I never told you what happened in the Chamber of Secrets in second year?"

"Yes," Oliver whispered so low that he was barely heard. He didn't want to say anything that would displease an already angry Hermione.

"Well, let's just say I did it out of respect for Potter here, who wanted to play hero."

"So not true!" Harry tried to interrupt.

"Excuse me Potter? I thought you didn't know what I was talking about, so be quiet for a minute will you? I'm talking to Oliver here. Well Oliver, since I'm going to refresh his memory, I might as well tell you too," she said pleasantly, taking a seat in her bed next to Oliver as she prepared her mind to tunnel out memories that had dug painfully inside her heart in a five year's time.
