I, yet again, failed to transmit brain waves to my cousin, Tristan, and brother, William to cease the talk of video games. Try, and try again, there seemed to be an impregneble wall blocking any means that might stop their rapt attention towards Mega Mutilation Part III.

(I know it's not realistic to say that they have video games back then, but oh well! )

'Flo! Remember - you kept blowing up!' said my cousin, Tristan, William responded with loud guffaws but I just tried to hid her grimace, and putting up a valiant effort to not envision blasted alien guts splattering across the Security Sector floor. (Sorry for putting that picture in your mind).

I excused myself and got up from the table, which had now two boys emitting sound effects. As soon as I was out of sight I bolted away and closed the door tightly behind me as I collapsed on my cousins bed - the room I was staying in was Tristan's. I wish I could live here forever - they lived out in the country, just out of reach from Kingston, in Canada. They had two dogs, one weigheb more than her, a giant trampeline (a gift for Tristan when his marks were improved) a pool, and a treehouse. They had a big house, and her Uncle was lucky enough to recieve a 70 000 dollar pension since he was retired. There was one problem interfering with my wishes to live in paradise, reality.

I walked over to my suitcase and flipped over the top, lying on top of my wrinkled and untidily packed clothing was a white envelope I had recieved just before I had left from England to Canada.

Miss. Florence Drummond

164 Mongolia Crescent

Little Whinning, Surrey

ENGLAND

I remembered ripping open the seal and drinking in its fruitful contents.

Dear Flo,

I really miss you a lot. Did you forget about me? I really hope not, and I'd never forget about you. I guess you haven't got my letters lately, I really hope you get this one, as it's very important.

I like your gifts a lot, as soon as I opened it I wore them all the time! I have bought you a necklace, it's called 'Italian Silver' and even if it gets black you can brush it with a tooth brush and it'll be shiny again.

Guess what? When we moved it wasn't like my mother remembered it, and since it's not very publiscized where we live, we couldn't have found out before hand. This is why my mom said we might move back! Or they might just send me to a school in England (that means we could be together, yay!) if they can't.

I think I want to go to Hogwarts if I can, I hope it's not all booked, and there are still some places, if there are I hope you can get your name down to. I can't wait until we're together again! I've got this numb feeling like it can't be possible! You, me, together, finally? AGAIN! But no, it's true! I'm so exciting I can't hold it in!

I really REALLY hope to see you soon,

Your best friend,

Lenora

The signature ended with a flourish, I noticed, I had taken every bit of it, wishing there was more. I too, felt a numb feeling as if it couldn't be happening, the two of us, in the same school after four, all too long years? Lenora and I had been best friends ever since the day in the sand box when we were three years old, and she had moved to her home country when she was seven, because her mom was homesick. That was four years together, four years apart.

Of course, as soon as I had recieved the letter, three weeks ago, I had sent a letter immediately to Hogwarts, requesting for a position as student as a first year; and to Lenora explaining everything about how I had not forgotten her and how I had applied at Hogwarts.

I hardly noticed how dangerously close my nose was to my apple sauce, because I was driftin in and out of slumber.

Tristan, William, and I had spent the part of the afternoon and all of the night holding a 'British-Secret-Service-Movie-Marathon' with her James Bond obsessed cousin and semi-in-the-liking-of James Bond, brother. As she neither loved nor hated him she had spent an uneventful or eventful night (you decide) exclaiming, 'Oh James,' and 'Shut up and kiss me!' and the family favourite, 'I look deep into your eyebrows!' puncuated with shreiks of laughter.

Suddenly my sanity was requested of me and my eyes darted down to the thing that had dragged my mind back to Plantet Earth, and forced it through my ears and into my skull (ew! Not a pleasant thought). It was two letters, my cousin and brother had one before them as well, but I had two.

For a second I didn't really care that one said

Flo Drummond

1890 Otter Dr.

Kingston, Ontario

Canada

(which was how Lenora always addressed me)

Or that the other said,

Miss. F. Drummond

Kingston, Ontario

1890 Otter Dr.

Tristan Euringer's Bedroom

Which was a very peculiar way of addressing a letter. How did they know where I was sleeping?
