Library Conversations
"Ron! Honestly do I have to do everything?" shouted Hermione Granger, as Ron attempted to stop a first year from climbing some ivy- by method of stunning. "You can't stun them! Just tell them to stop and threaten detention!" Hermione went on, helping the boy climb down.
Hermione and Ron, as Head Boy and Girl had been instructed to look after the first years as they studied in the library. The librarian was ill that day and could not do it herself. It was Hell on earth for Ronald Weasley, but Hermione seemed to enjoy the power. It frightened Ron a bit, to say the least.
"Oi! You shrimp! Stop levitating your quills!" Ron yelled from across the room. "It worked," he pointed out to Hermione, who had her hands on her hips and her lips pulled tight in a perfect impression of McGonagall.
"I wasn't going to say anything," Hermione snapped back as she went through the darker parts of the book shelves, looking for students that had slipped away. Ron followed her, having nothing better to do. "You know," Hermione started.
"No, I don't know, I never know anything remember 'Mione?" Ron interrupted, his hands in his pockets, dragging his feet in boredom.
"Well, you know a few things," Hermione said, ignoring his outburst, "Some really useful things too, you know. You are getting better in Charms," She paused to show a group of first year girls back into the main room. Ron snorted. "No really, like I bet you know things I don't," Hermione said, desperately trying to prove she hadn't been putting him down.
"Like what?" Ron said leaning against a wall, his arms crossed. Hermione took a breath.
"You know, social stuff, or boy stuff," Hermione said standing in front of him.
"Like kissing and dancing? You can dance better than me," Ron said, raising a brow.
"Well, I don't know the first part!" Hermione said out of anger, and realized what she'd said a minuet too late. She looked up to see Ron smile a large, toothy, lopsided grin.
"You've never been kissed?" Ron said almost tauntingly, not believing his ears.
"Well, oh fine! No Ron, I haven't," Hermione said, her eyes glittering with rage.
"Well, you've taught me loads, maybe I should teach you something," Ron said, more of a statement than a question.
'Two can play at this game,' Hermione thought. "Well, maybe you're not good, and I was only bei-"But she was caught off by Ron's lips, as they touched hers.
She was wrong. Ron was a very good kisser. In fact she'd say he was excellent.
"So that's for helping me in Charms," he said a bit tauntingly. He kissed her again, lighter then the first time. "And that's for Potions," another kiss, "for Herbology" another kiss, "and for runes," he finished.
"Ron you don't take runes," Hermione pointed out, her face comically stuck between the emotions of surprise, anger, and joy.
"Details, details..."
