"That's what they call me," he said while catching up with Marie, who was swiftly walking down the corridor towards her dad's office.

"What are you doing here?" Marie questioned, opening the door to go upstairs and meet with her father and give the sweet child back.

"Only thought you might need some help," he said, turning back towards the common room. "Your fine though."

Marie smiled; Remus was the only one to lend a helping hand when anyone was in any sort of need. She turned on her heel and pulled her hair back with the hand that was free from cradling the child in her arms.

"Late," someone said icily while she walked up the narrow staircase.

"Sorry father," she smiled, almost out of breath by the time that she got to the last step to meet him.

"Don't worry," her father said sharply while taking the little baby out of her arms. "Be back tomorrow night, you only get an hour to spend with her."

"But why?" Marie questioned, getting extremely angry. "That's not fair!"

"Dear," Albus' voice became a little lower, "I think we might have a family for her."

Marie didn't need to hear anymore, it was more than she could bear at this point. Of course she knew at a certain point that she would have to give the child up but not so soon, it wasn't fair! To think that her baby would never know her real mother broke her heart. She thought about Sirius' words about raising her; but it was impossible, it just couldn't be done.

"'Night father," Marie said coldly, walking back down the stairs to her dorm.

Albus couldn't say that it didn't break his heart that his only daughter had to give up her first child. But it was true, she was only a kid and Marie had no sense of responsibility what so ever and this really proved it. He walked over with the baby and laid her in the crib next to his desk. Her big lavender eyes and tiny bit of hair on the top of her head made her look like an angel, wrapped in the pink silk that he had brought for her.

"If only they could keep her," laughed a voice from the side of the corridor.

"Minerva," Albus hissed, "you know as well as I do that it isn't possible for either of them to take care of her."

"I know that, Albus," the professor snapped back as she sat next to the baby. "I just wish there was something that we could do."

"There is nothing, dear. I know a care center that will take care of her until she is either adopted or she turns eleven."

Minerva looked at Albus, disgust coming from her eyes. It wasn't like him to be cruel; it wasn't like him at all.

"Do you think that is fair to the child?" Minerva then looked at Albus with regret in what she had said, but she went on, "Is it fair that because Sirius and Marie made a mistake that the girl will not be able to know her family?"

"Minerva," Dumbledore said, his patience wavering. "No, it isn't, I agree, but what am I supposed to do? Let them keep her? You remember I told Marie to stay away from Sirius, that I didn't want her to be with him."

Minerva walked towards the child and lifted her up. The baby's big lavender eyes just peered at her. This child had done nothing wrong. She was an innocent victim of her parent's wrong doings.

"Albus, you're very cold," she spat, putting the baby back down and walked out of his office.

Marie ran back into her room with tears streaming down her milky white face. She was angry with her father; he was being completely unfair. She knew that the child could never stay with her but it was always nice to think that it might have been possible.

"Marie?" asked Lily, going over to comfort her. "Are you alright? What's wrong?" It was like Lily to be concerned, ever since Maire was said to be pregnant with Sirius' child Lily was deeply concerned with her well being.

"My father," Marie stuttered in between tears. "Thinks that there is a family for the child."

"Oh, Marie, I'm sorry," began Lily, getting her a tissue from the small bathroom. "I'm really sorry."

"It's not your fault, it's mine." Marie whimpered, taking the pink tissue from Lily. "It was my fault for being so stupid and falling in love with Sirius".

"That wasn't stupid," said James Potter as he came through the door. "I know for a fact, Marie, that Sirius loves you very much!"

"If he loves me very much than why did he do this to me?" Marie asked, laying down on her bed in despair.

"I DO LOVE YOU MARIE, YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU!" Sirius yelled, coming into the room, a single tear shone on his face.

James and Lily took the hint that they should leave, so slowly they slithered out of the room, leaving Marie and Sirius to work out their problems.

"Marie really," he said, walking over to her and sliding his arms around her waist.

Marie looked down and then laid her head on his chest, "I do love you, BUT LOOK WHAT HAPPENED! LOOK AT OUR LIVES!"

"Marie, calm down!" Sirius snapped, hugging her tighter. "We will be okay."

"But the baby," Marie whimpered once again. "My father found a place for her."
