"Draco Malfoy!" McGonagal yelled. I turned to come face to face with her. "Dumbledore would like to see you concerning the death of Pansy Parkinson." I sighed. My father is in a whole mess of trouble now.
"Alright. Tell Snape I'll be late," I muttered. The second she was out of eyesight, I dashed to the office.
"Hello Dumbledore," I panted. I bent over, trying to catch my breath, my short blonde hair falling into my eyes.
"Good morning, Mr. Malfoy. Have a seat," Dumbledore smiled warmly.
"Alright," I sat on a comfortable chair.
"How are you handling the death of Miss Parkinson and your father's imprisonment?"
"My father should have died. And Pansy deserved to. That fat cow should have died when she was born!"
"Why do you feel that way?"
"Don't get me started!"
"Alright, Mr. Malfoy. You may leave," Dumbledore dismissed me with his hands. I left thankfully.
Everyone had been coming up to me lately. They all said how sad it was. But I didn't care. The only person I cared for was Kay. Kay!
I ran to the common room. Desperately, I flung the door open to see Ron and Hermione reading the Daily Prophet together. Kay was curled up in a chair reading Peter Pan.
"Kay!" I yelled. She looked up.
"Hello Draco. You're awfully late," Kay frowned.
"Kay, Dumbledore called me into his office. About cowgirl."
"So what. You told me noon. It's one o'clock!"
"Kay!"
"Draco, we're over." She stormed out.
"Harsh," Ron said, as him and Hermione continued reading.
~~
"Me and Kay broke up," I told Harry.
"Me and Cho are together," Harry sighed.
"Oh, stop it!" I snapped.
"There's always Luna," Harry suggested.
"Harry, that's your second choice. Not mine," I replied.
"Why do you guys have second choices anyway?" Seamus asked. Him, Dean, and Neville were on their way out the door.
"If she dumps me," I said. "Like Kay did."
"Well me and Tinka are going together to the first ever Hogwarts school dance. It's going to be dressy like the way the Yule Ball was," Neville remarked.
"Good times, good times," Dean sighed.
"Too bad I won't be going," I sighed.
"What! Why not? You can always meet girls there," Seamus suggested.
"I want to go with Kay," I whined.
~~
5:00, I remained in the common room, reading the Daily Prophet Ron and Hermione had left behind. Hidden behind the paper in the corner, I heard two people walk in.
"Harry, that was the worst date I've ever been on," Cho's distinct voice yelled.
"Cho, I'm sorry. How was I supposed to know that Hermione would be there alone and keep flirting with me?" Harry yelled.
"Harry, I'm sick of all the excuses. Yeah, I owe you my life but that doesn't mean I love you," Cho howled.
"Cho, I can explain," Harry motioned.
"No, good bye!" Cho yelled, slamming the door. Harry succumbed to rage on the couch.
"How could she!"
"Can't help but overhear, Har," I smirked, walking to him. "Three of us, dumped in one week."
"Who are the three?"
"You, Me, and Ron."
"Yeah. Hermione wrecked my date purposely."
"Kay just has a quick temper."
"Excuses, excuses."
~~
"Attention Hogwarts students. We have a new student switching from Durmstrang. Please welcome Skyler Frost. She is in Ravenclaw at the wish of her parents in their will," Dumbledore trailed off. A tall girl with hair like wisps of fire walked awkwardly to the Ravenclaw table. Her brilliant, electric blue eyes were cast down at her black dress shoes. She seemed so familiar. Luna was the first to address her.
"Hi, I'm Luna Lovegood. Welcome to Hogwarts," Luna smiled, her flaxen hair falling in her giant eyes.
"Hi," Skyler said softly. The only reason I could hear her was because I had my back to Luna. And then it clicked, she was Lorenzo and Star's niece. All I knew about her was she and Kay hated each other with a passion. I didn't really know her, but it seemed like I did from staying at her house for the summer. But I would get to know Skyler as the year progressed...
~~
"Our first weekend at Hogsmeade in which we can find new girls!" Ron cheered. Harry was still glum, but I was in a better mood.
"Speaking of which, there's Skyler. She's so mysterious," I smiled. "And she's with Luna." I hinted to Harry.
"No, it's alright. I'm going to go get drunk off butterbeer and you two can go on a date," Harry sighed.
"There's no alcohol in butterbeer to get drunk off of," Hermione stated, putting her arm around Harry's shoulder. "Come on Harry. I'll cheer you up," Her grin didn't seem to fade. Ron and I just shrugged and kept walking towards the duo.
"Hi Luna," Ron smiled. Luna turned on her heels while Skyler turned swiftly.
"Ron Weasley," she smiled.
"We were wondering if you wanted to join us for butterbeers," I smiled to Skyler.
"Sounds good to me," Luna smiled. All eyes turned to Skyler.
"Sounds good," she whispered. We walked into the crowded room.
"Drats. There are only two tables for two left. Looks like we have to split," Ron said, with a hint of joy.
Luna was quick to say, "I'll go with Ron." That left me with Skyler Frost.
We took a table far away from Harry and Hermione who were laughing hysterically in a corner booth.
"So Skyler, why'd you come to Hogwarts?" I asked.
"My mom was killed in a car crash when I was three. My father raised me, and then last year, he was thrown into Azkaban for being a Death Eater. He died less than a month ago. You can call me Sky, like he used to," she smiled, brushing a lock of hair out of her eyes.
"Oh, I'm sorry. My dad is in Azkaban right now. He is a Death Eater and killed a Hogwarts student," I replied. "I'm Draco Malfoy by the way."
"Wait, you're Draco Malfoy? My Aunt Star said you stayed in my room all summer," Sky smiled.
"Yeah. You were in Australia," I smiled.
"Yes. My friends and I were their for the summer," Sky smiled back.
"So are you dating anyone?' I asked, trying to get myself with this girl.
"No. You and Ron were the first boys I met here," she half-smiled.
"Shall we take a walk?" I asked, like I always asked girls when I liked them. Things were going good.
~~
"I never knew Hogwarts could be so...so...magical!" Skyler exclaimed, her musical voice growing the loudest I'd heard it all night.
"It's wonderful," I smiled. "Sky, will you go out with me?"
"Of course Draco," she smiled brighter. But then we reached the opening to the Ravenclaw common room.
"I guess I'll see you later," I responded, kissing her gently on the cheek.
"Of course Draco. Good night." She sauntered elegantly through the portrait, her hair gleaming gold.
~~
Harry, Ron, and I all sat on the couch with a sigh.
"Hermione," Harry said dreamily.
"Sky," I muttered.
"Luna," Ron smiled. Harry and I stared at him. There was something wrong with the two of them dating. "What? She's amazing"
"Sky is so quiet and sad. She needs a guy who can cheer her up," I smiled.
"Two days ago you were furious Kay dumped you. Now you're dating the new girl," Harry groaned.
"Oh well. Just yesterday you said Hermione ruined your relationship with Cho," I complained.
"Just be quiet. I wanna recollect my date," Ron sighed. Maybe sixth year was pulling another turn around, for the better.
~~
"Mr. Malfoy, please hand me your potion. We will test it on this plant. It should revive it," Professor Snape commanded. Hesitantly, I handed him the potion. But right as it touched his fingers, the potion fell. Onto Snape's leg.
"Holy crap Malfoy," Snape cursed under his breath. The acidic potion was burning through his leg. Shards of glass were sticking out of it. "Go to Dumbledore's. I don't want to see you." Snape scowled and cursed some more.
~~
"Mr. Malfoy, great to see you again, but why are you here?" Dumbledore asked as I went into his office. He was putting books back on their shelves. He probably had a bigger library than the school did.
"Snape can't grasp a bottle so it dropped and is burning holes through his legs," I replied with a smile.
"And you're here because?"
"Snape's angry."
"Oh. Well ,that's mighty fine. I'll give you a detention in the Forbidden Forest with Fleur. You can help her find what the centaurs have been talking about. She volunteered to help. They say a strange panther has been in the woods," Dumbledore looked scared.
"A panther?" I asked quizzically.
"Yes, a black panther. Probably an animagus from the school. It showed up two days ago."
Two days ago? That was the day that Sky showed up. Could it be her? No, she wouldn't, would she?
~~
"Stay together, okay?" Fleur asked in her soft voice with a French accent. The stars twinkled like diamonds and the sky was as black as Tinka's hair. The Forbidden Forest looked cruel and ghastly. The two of us waked into the darkest spaces. A rustle in the bushes made Fleur and I turn.
"Who's there?" Fleur asked shyly. Out stepped a tall man with a lantern. He held it up to his face to reveal Hagrid.
"Sorry Fleur. Dumbledore sent me out for that panther," Hagrid replied.
"Go with him. I'm getting out of here," Fleur shuddered, turning around. Hagrid shrugged and we kept walking. But the scream, Fleur's scream, broke the silence.
"Where is she?" Hagrid asked running through the forest.
"I dunno. I just heard the scream but I can't see anything!"
"She'd probably be near the entrance." The two of us reached a bloody pool where Fleur was.
"The panther...the panther..." Fleur shuddered and died. Then a pair of electric blue eyes stared out of a shrub. They looked at me in awe and then disappeared. Where had I seen those eyes before?
~~
"All students should report to the Great Hall at once," McGonagal sent the message around the school. I couldn't tell anyone what I had seen last night. The panther, Hagrid, Fleur's body being carried away. It was all too gruesome. But the strange thing was, Kay was seeming more and more to be this mysterious panther. She was jealous of Sky. And now she was killing, killing to warn me.
Kay sat in-between Seamus and Tinka. Was she...no, she wouldn't! She wouldn't date Seamus Finnigan! I plopped down next to Harry and Ron.
"Cho's going to the dance with Justin what's his face," Harry sighed. But with a smile he added, "I'm going with Hermione."
"Luna," Ron sighed.
"Kay's going with Seamus," I remarked. Kay's head snapped up.
"You're right, I am. And you care because?" Kay barked.
"Kay." I sighed, but then Dumbledore made the announcement.
"I have some tragic news. Fleur Delacor was killed last night. She was killed by a jaguar, thought to be an animagus. If anyone knows who they are, you are to alert the staff immediately. Thank you," Dumbledore announced. I stood up and left. I couldn't stand this anymore.
~~
"Skyler!" I yelled, finding her next to the Gryffindor common room. She turned suddenly, her electric blue eyes staring at me.
"Hello Draco," she smiled sweetly.
"Did you hear about Fleur?" I asked.
"No. What happened?" Sky started acting scared.
"She was killed by an animagus panther last night in the Forbidden Forest," I told her. Her gorgeous eyes seemed to be bigger.
"Holy cow! What is Dumbledore doing about it?" Sky suddenly looked eager and ambitious.
"Nothing yet. Why Kay?"
"What did you call me?' Sky looked bewildered.
"Sky!"
"No, I heard Kay. As in Kailyn MaRazzle, the evil girl who lived next door to me in Bumbleville. What do you see in her? Draco, she's dating Seamus Finnigan! Get it through your head!"
"Sky..."
"Was this how it ended with her? She getting angry at you?"
"Yeah. Sky, why are you asking me this?"
"Because it's ending here too." Sky ran away with tears streaming down her fair-skinned face.
~~
Sky sat on her bed crying her eyes out. Why did I do that? Why did I dump him? She thought to herself. It's all part of the plan. Make Draco think you love him, crush him by dumping him. And then for the best of all, kill him at the wish of his father. If father hadn't met Mr. Malfoy in Azkaban, this wouldn't have happened. And if I wasn't supposed to have feelings for Draco, then why was I crying?
~~
I sat on the couch sulking. Two girls in two weeks the same way, I thought. Sky and Kay, gone from my grasp. Why me, why me?
"Draco, is that you?" Ginny asked, walking into the common room.
"Yeah," I muttered.
"You alright?"
"God, no."
"What's wrong."
"Everything."
"Start with one problem. Maybe I could help you."
"Get away, Ginny. You couldn't help me."
"Fine Draco. But if this has anything to do with Kay, I would talk to her for you, but I guess not."
"You'd talk to her, for me?"
"Yes. She's right there," Ginny pointed to a lounge chair in the corner where someone was reading the Quibbler so you couldn't see their face.
"Draco, I broke things off with Seamus. Ginny wanted him anyway. I wanted to make you jealous. But instead, I ended up jealous of you and Sky. I'm sorry," Kay walked over to me.
"I forgive you Kay. Just, I don't know if I can trust you anymore. You have such a quick temper," I sighed, brushing a lock of blonde hair out of my eyes.
"I'm sorry too. I was in a bad mood since Snape put me in remedial potions."
"He put me there too," I said, putting my arm around Kay.
"I'm going to go," Ginny laughed, leaving quickly. Things were better now.
~~
Sky was afraid to walk out of the common room. Afraid to face the world. Afraid that the aurors would find out who she had killed. Afraid they would know she was an animagus. And she was most afraid of Draco. Timid and scared was more like it. Draco had been hurt, but not as much as her. He hadn't just dumped the only person they'd ever loved. No, he knew nothing. Nothing of his future.
~~
Lucius Malfoy sat bored out of his mind in his prison cell. Why wasn't that Frost guy still in here? Had the Dementors given him that kiss yet? Or had he committed suicide? Lucius had given up long ago with the fact that his friend was still alive. But his daughter, on the other hand, was still alive. She was at Hogwarts too. In a perfect position to kill the biggest flaw in his life. His very own son.
~~
I walked happily with Kay down the halls. Nothing felt better than this. Not even that kiss I had given Sky. Speaking of Sky, where was she?
But then I spotted her flaming hair. Her head was down, but I could still make out her eyes puffy from crying. Why would she be crying, I thought, she dumped me. Or maybe, maybe there was another reason.
~~
Sky stared at Draco through tears. Her entire insides filled with rage. How could he be back with Kay already? How could he betray me like this? Why would he betray me like this? Didn't he know I still loved him?
No, Sky thought, shaking her orange main. But she understood why Mr. Malfoy wanted him dead. He ruined so many peoples lives, including his own, when he turned good. His life was wrecked forever.
~Chapter Three~
Kay and I walked together in to the great hall. It felt so good to be with her again. I'm glad she went to Hogwarts. But the minute I stepped into the hall, Luna raced up to me.
"Draco, we have a couple of problems," she exclaimed, holding a copy of The Daily Prophet in my face. My eyes scanned it slowly and read:
LUCIUS MALFOY AND LORENZO FROST ESCAPE!
Lucius Malfoy, just recently sentenced for the murder of Pansy Parkinson, has escaped from prison. His accomplice, Lorenzo Frost, thought to be dead by all, was seen pretending to be a Dementor. A prisoner in a cell across from Malfoy saw the Dementor remove the hood and recognized the face from another across-the-row-cellblock neighbor.
We are searching frantically for the escapees. If you see them, alert Cornelius Fudge immediately. Be on the look out. Lorenzo Frost was in jail for attempted murder.
"Holy Cricket! Not again!" I yelled. Kay stared.
"Frost. That's Sky's last name. Remember, she is my neighbor," Kay questioned.
"Yeah. And she said her father was dead, as did the article," I wondered aloud.
"I think she's bad news," Luna stared into space.
"I can't talk to her though!" I whined.
"You can't, but Ginny can," Kay smirked. Ginny even helped me and Kay get back together...
~ ~
"Luna, you seem the best candidate to get Sky's secrets out. She probably knew her dad was alive," Ginny, no longer that shy girl she used to be, answered.
"Oh come on! I just am weird and you know it!" Luna replied glumly.
"Did Ron break up with you?" Kay asked.
"No. But Ron just isn't going to get over Hermione in a million years," Luna sighed.
"Enough girl talk, we got bigger problems!" I cried.
~ ~
Sky was curled up on her bed. Her orange hair was unruly and draped across her face. Tears fell down her face, covering her freckles with a puffy glow.
"Skyler? It's Ginny Weasley," Ginny's voice rang out.
"No, go away!" Sky yelled.
"Fine, but Draco wanted me to talk to you?"
"He did?"
"Yeah. It's about what the Daily Prophet said."
"What did it say?"
"Your father's alive and he helped Draco's father escape from
Azkaban."
"What?!" Sky stood in shock.
"Draco's father and your father are out to kill some more."
"My father never killed anyone!"
"Well Draco's father did. He killed Draco's ex-girlfriend while trying to kill Harry Potter."
"My father is innocent, he's dead. I saw him die! He was stabbed by another guy in jail, last month!"
"What!"
"Lucius Malfoy stabbed my father. He killed him too."
~ ~
"I wouldn't think my dad was capable of ruining so many people's lives! Killing Sky's father would mean that it wasn't Sky's father who helped him escape, but somebody else!" I shuddered.
"No offense, but your father is like, a serial killer, Dray, and he's not too fond of your girlfriends either," Kay laughed.
"At least he hasn't killed you yet," I smiled at Kay. "Though Lorenzo Frost tried to." Ginny looked disgusted.
"Will the two of you stop being so lovey-dovey?" She asked, brushing her red hair out of her face.
"Does your father know my parents are both muggles?" Kay asked, not being offended.
"Umm, I sort of forgot to mention it when he was last here," I said nervously.
"Oh great, I'm dead again."
~ ~
Sky walked to Hagrid's cottage for her Care of Magical Creatures class. She dreaded seeing Draco or Ginny again. Ginny would have obviously told Draco about their conversation. But then someone called her name.
"Sky," the whisper came from the Forbidden Forest. She walked along hesitantly, being sure that she wasn't about to be attacked by a giant spider.
"Yes. Who's calling me?" The humid wind of the warm April day brushed her autumn colored hair into her eyes.
"Sky, come to the clearing," the familiar voice of Lucius Malfoy said.
"What do you want? You made me lie to everyone!" Sky burst into tears.
"I know, but your father owes me and I'm making you pay his debt," Lucius snickered.
"So what's the plan? Why did you call me here?"
"I have a new favor to ask." He grinned deviously.
"What now, Lucius?"
"You know Draco's girlfriend Kay?"
"Yeah," Sky hated Kay's guts.
"Kill her. Like you killed Fleur."
"I killed Fleur already. Why do you want me to kill anyone else?"
"Fleur knew too much. Kay is a mudblood and does not belong dating my pureblood son."
"But I'm a not pureblood and you let me date him."
"It was an infatuation. Besides, your father was a pureblood."
"Lorenzo is not my father! He's my uncle. And I know he was a pureblood. But I can't tell Harry who my real father was otherwise he'd want to kill me."
"Remus Lupin is on Hogwarts grounds, Sky. He could be listening," Lucius looked around.
"I know. Draco thinks you killed my father. But Lorenzo's out there, right? I know he's my stepfather, but he seems like my father. Lupin was away most of my life."
"Sky, just kill Kay at the dance. Make Draco cry."
~ ~
Crabbe couldn't believe what he had just heard. Draco's ex-girlfriend and father plotting to kill Kay in the woods was just insane! He had to tell Draco. But Draco would never believe him.
~ ~
"Draco!" Crabbe came up to me with Goyle.
"What do you want, moron?" I snapped.
"Draco, we need to tell you something. Something we heard," Goyle stepped up.
"I don't care!" I raged. I didn't want to hear some crude remark from two idiots.
"Draco, you will. It's about your father and Sky!" Crabbe yelled.
"What about them?" I snapped.
"I saw them in the woods. He told Sky to kill Kay the same way she killed Fleur!" Crabbe exclaimed.
"Yeah right, Crabbe. Your just jealous that I've had more girlfriends than you!" I snapped. He is such a liar. But then, why was I starting to believe him. He used to be my best friend.
~ ~
The dance was tonight! It didn't seem like May 1st for the weather was almost summery. It was the perfect night for a dance.
"Are you ready Draco?" Harry asked, making sure his hair still looked the same in the mirror.
"Yeah, I've been waiting for you, Harry. Hermione and Kay might be getting impatient," I smirked. We walked into the common room and were stunned. There stood Kay and Hermione looking absolutely beautiful.
If this had been a year ago, I wouldn't have been standing next to Harry Potter. I wouldn't' be going to a dance with Kailyn MaRazzle, a mixed-blood. I wouldn't be standing in the Gryffindor common room! It was amazing how much had changed. And I bet Harry was thinking the same. Or maybe he was just thinking of Hermione.
"Wow, Kay, you look wonderful," I smirked. She was wearing a velvet black dress that shimmered like a bit of fairy dust. The dress fell to her knees and she had a gold pearl anklet on her ankle. She wore large high heels, making her taller than me for a change. Her hair hung loosely and her hair was dark and wavy like the sea at night.
Hermione had straightened her hair, which she let hang freely at its full length of past her shoulders. Her dress was baby blue and even shorter than Kay's. Harry couldn't stop staring at her.
"Let's go."
~ ~
At 7:00, everyone had assembled outside. The dance floor was illuminated by fireflies. The perimeter was surrounded by small tables. The temperature was warm and still at a summery level for this part of England. Lee Jordan was DJ-ing, probably because the Quidditch announcer couldn't find a date. Dumbledore had called him back to Hogwarts just to do this.
My eyes darted around trying to find Sky. Through all the Hogwarts students, she couldn't be found. You could even find small Tinka in this crowd! Maybe she wasn't here.
"Alright Hogwarts students! Are you ready for the best dance of the year? Let's party!" Lee yelled, playing some new jam from London.
"Wanna dance Draco?" Kay asked with a smile.
"Of course, darling," I grinned back as the two of us started dancing. I must say that Kay was so much more graceful than me. I stink at dancing. After thirty minutes of horrible dancing, a slow song came on.
"Sorry that I stink at dancing. At least I know how to slow dance," I smiled. Kay beamed.
"You're so hard on yourself Dray," She kissed me on the lips. When the song ended, she went to talk to Hermione, who was enjoying a butter beer. I just stood there thinking of her. I didn't even notice when Sky
walked in.
"Draco," someone snapped behind me. I turned, hoping it to be Kay. Instead, I came face to face with Skyler Frost.
Her hair was draped across one shoulder, standing out against the black backdrop of her shirt. Her blue eyes sparkled and traces of eye shadow could be found. Sky's shirt was a black spaghetti-strap tank top. She wore a silky black skirt with it. Black was her color tonight.
"Draco, have you seen Kay?" She asked cruelly.
"I need to talk to her," Sky kept a cold face during all of this. None of her usual ways were shining through.
"Fine. She's talking with Hermione," I frowned. Sky underwent a huge transformation from the Sky I had kissed.
I watched her approach my girlfriend. Kay cast a worried glance at me, but then left the dance with Sky. What was going on?
~ ~
"How are you doing, Kay? And your petunias?" Sky asked, bringing in an old joke.
"Fine, thank you. But I don't see why we need to talk," Kay was shivering, but not from the cold, from the nervousness that was eating her stomach like a termite on wood.
"I do. Kay, I still love Draco. He's the only guy I've ever loved. I want him back. If only if I didn't have such a quick temper," sky sighed.
"Well, I still love him. He's still mine."
"No, Kay. He's mine."
~ ~
I had this tingling sensation on the back of my neck. I had only felt this once before, and it was the night Pansy was killed. Something bad was going to happen.
I took off running, searching desperately for Kay and Sky. Something shone in the moonlight. I recognized it as a knife. Holding the knife was Sky. Kay stood terrified across from her. The knife was going towards Kay.
"Wingardium leviosa!" I yelled. The knife flew out of Sky's hand. Both Sky and Kay turned to me. Kay's eyes were afraid and filled with tears. Sky's eyes were so bright and menacing.
"Draco, what are you doing here?" Both girls said at the same time.
"Sky, what are you doing?" I yelled.
"Draco, I still love you!" Sky screamed.
"You dumped me Sky!" I shouted back.
"I know. But I shouldn't have," Sky quieted down. "It's your fault," she turned toward Kay, her eyes glaring at her. Suddenly, Sky turned into a panther. A PANTHER!
"You're the panther!" I gasped. She transformed back into Sky.
"You're right. I only killed Fleur because she knew too much. I would have killed Hagrid too, but I saw you," Sky smiled weakly.
"You k...killed Fleur?" Kay stuttered, trying to grasp that information.
"Yes, I killed her." Sky said. She turned back to me. "Why did you betray me Draco? Going out with her?"
"Sky, listen. I love Kay. I don't think I ever loved you!" I shouted. Kay stood terrified.
"No," sky stood scared and hate danced in her eyes.
"It's true Sky," I said.
"Avada Ke!" She started.
"NO!" I shouted, interrupting her curse. Her wand was pointing straight at Kay. I jumped in front of Kay.
"Avada Kedavra!" She yelled. There was a giant flash of light, then all went black.
~ ~
Kay and Sky stood in stunned silence. Draco wasn't standing at all. He lay lifeless on the ground. Then both girls snapped out of it.
"Draco!" They yelled together, in tears. Kay kneeled down next to Draco and kissed his dead lips.
"You did this to him. You killed him," Kay accused, ganging up on Sky.
"No...no....he jumped in front of you. He...he was the only guy I ever loved! How...how could he die?" Sky broke down crying on the ground.
"Go, Sky. Leave here. Get away before I kill you!" Kay snapped. Sky stood up and started to run. Kay sat alone with Draco's dead body.
"Draco, why'd you do that? It wouldn't have hit me! You could still be here!" Kay succumbed to grief. "Draco, I love you." Kay stood up and looked around. In the distance were the bright lights of the dance. All of them were clueless of what just happened. Faintly, Kay could hear a slow song playing. Draco and I should be dancing to this, Kay thought. But no, he's dead.
In the moonlight, the knife shone white in the grass. Kay walked slowly to it. No one would ever know what had happened.
"Oh happy dagger," Kailyn said through tears. "Oh, who am I kidding. Just let me be with Draco." And with that, Kay attempted to commit suicide. She couldn't live without Draco. But what she didn't know was that Draco was still alive.
Author notes: Sorry my spellings so off! I'm really bad at remembering things. Also, Sky's story about her parents is wicked confusing. I mean for it to be that way! Don't worry, it'll all be explained, eventually. :-D Please review! The last one inspired the prequel!
