Not All Romances Are This Bad

Chapter 4

Wrong Decision

Hermione was searching for Ron. She had promised to talk to him first but he was no where to be found. Hermione had looked for him up in his dormitory, in the Great Hall, in the "courtyard", and by the Black Lake but she couldn't find him. When Hermione had become desperate, she went to ask Harry and Ginny where Ron was.

"Hey guys," smirked Hermione, trying to get Ginny and Harry's attention. As usual, she had interrupted them while kissing.

"Umm...hi Hermione," said Harry and began to blush.

"Hi!" said Ginny, blushing as much as Harry.

"By any chance, do you two know where Ronald is? I need to talk to him," impatiently asked Hermione.

"He said something about going to the owlery," Ginny told Hermione.

"Thanks...you and Harry can get back to whatever you two were doing before I barged in," Hermione grinned slyly.

Ginny and Harry blushed even harder than a minute ago but Harry protested, "...we weren't doing anything."

"Sure you weren't," Hermione laughed sarcastically.

"FYI... we don't do anything until it gets dark," Ginny whispered shyly.

"Ron... are you up here?" Hermione asked, awaiting a reply.

"Huh...oh, hi Hermione. I was just thinking about you," replied Ron.

"Why were you up so early, you never wake up early on Saturday? You're always up around noon.

"I just have a lot on my mind," Ron told Hermione.

"Like what," Hermione blurted out.

"Well....I was thinking about last night and who you were going to choose," Ron said while gritting is teeth.

"That's exactly what I wanted to talk about...with you. I've given this a lot of thought. Ron, I love but... err... I... I-"

"Spit it out all ready," screamed Ron and reach out for Hermione's shoulders and shook her vigorously.

"I decided to choose Draco. I'm sorry," cried Hermione and walked out of the owlery and left the once-loved, red- haired boy in awe.

"Hello Draco," Hermione said and placed a passionate kiss on his lips.

"I guess you decided to choose me instead of that Weasel. Why did you pick me though?

"I love you, that's why," answered Hermione and launched herself at Draco to kiss him but he stepped away.

"What's wrong sweetie?" she asked and tried to kiss Draco again but he moved away from her.

"You silly little Mudblood... I never loved you. I was only pretending to love you so I could separate you and that filthy Weasel," laughed Malfoy.

"But why?" wailed Hermione.

"Orders of Lord Voldemort." Hermione winced but Malfoy ignored her and continued. "And other than that, I wanted to get you back for when you punched me in the third year," laughed Malfoy.

"WHAT!" Hermione ran towards Malfoy, not to kiss him but to beat the laughter out of him. "I hate you. Hate you. HATE YOU!" she screamed and punched him as hard as she could.

When she finished, Hermione stood up and hissed, "I hope you die and go to muggle heaven." And ran out of the room leaving Malfoy and all his bruises behind.

"How could I have fallen for Draco's plan? I am so stupid, Draco will never love me. And now, because of him, I have lost my boyfriend and one of my best friends. Ron will never forgive me...but maybe if I tell him what happened, he might forgive me and we can start over and be a couple again," Hermione mused to herself and mentally kicked herself for being such an idiot.

Hermione sprinted to Gryffindor House to find Ron. When she entered the portrait hole, the Gryffindors in the common room thought she was mental, but she didn't care. She kept running until she got to his dormitory. She opened the door and found Ron in a very disturbing position, kissing Luna...
