Not All Romances Are This Bad

Chapter 3

Hurt

"Put your wand away mate. I don't want to duel you," said Harry.

"What, you scared of me jinxing?"

"No. You are my best mate. I dont want to send you to the hospital wing," Harry told Ron.

Ginny didn't want Ron to curse Harry or Harry curse Ron. She had to take Ron's mind off of the current situation. "Hermione is cheating on you with Malfoy!" exclaimed Ginny.

Ron lowered his wand and whispered, "What?"

"I said...Hermione is cheating on you with Malfoy," Ginny squeaked, afraid of what Ron's reaction would be.

When he heard these words, he felt as he was slapped. Ron then stammered out, "Where is Hermione?"

"She's up in the Astronomy tower." Ginny nodded at Harry's reply.

Ron burst into a run towards the astronomy tower. He had been crying for around ten minutes when he realized that he should go and see if it was true that Hermione was actually seeing Draco.

When he arrived at the tower, he stopped at the door. He had heard a voice coming from the other side of the door. It was Hermione. With all his might, he kicked the door and almost made it come off of its hinges.

After kicking the door open he saw Hermione and Draco kissing passionately. He couldn't even tell which body was which. Then Ron pulled out his wand and hissed, "What are you doing Malfoy?! Get away the hell away from my girlfriend!"

"What are you blabbing about Weasel, Mione is my girlfriend, said Draco, pulling out his wand as well.

"No Ferret, she's my girlfriend," hissed Ron.

"Hermione...is this true, what the Weasel king says," gasped Draco.

"Yes. Ron is my boyfriend. I started going out with him at the start of summer...but I love you too," explained the girl who was now very interested in her shoes and was avoiding meeting eye contact with any of the two boys that she dumbfounded.

"What?! But you said you loved me," whimpered Draco.

"Come on Mione, let's get out of here. We need to talk." He reached out for Hermione's hand but she pulled away from him.

"Why?" asked Hermione.

"Because you are my girlfriend!" exclaimed Ron.

"What if she doesn't want to go with you Weasel," sneered Draco and stepped in front of Hermione as if he was trying to protect her. "Why don't we let her choose who she wants to go with... after all, she can only stay with one of us."

"Fine!"

"Okay, but let me think about it," spoke Hermione. "I will see each one of you and tell you my choice."

Hermione's vision was unclear. She was crying. She was leaning against her favorite tree next to the Black lake. She didn't know what to do. Hermione loved Ron, she was sure of it but she couldn't take her mind off of the blond Slytherin she also adored.

"Ron is very good a Quidditch, he is funny, and I've known him for six years. I do love him...I do...I'm sure of it. But there is something about Draco that makes me feel like he's the one. He is a great Quidditch player, loads better than Ron, he's smart, and quite mysterious. Like Ron, I've also known Draco for six years now," Hermione thought to herself but at the thought of this, she began to cry even harder. "I think I can choose between Ron and Draco..."
