Love In The Most Unexpected Form

As fifth year Ginny Weasley sat in the Gryffindor common room thinking about her crush, the famous Harry Potter, she also wondered how she would tell him how she felt. She looked over to the chair where he was doing his homework, and decided tonight would be the night she told him how she felt.

"Harry, there's something I've got to tell you."

"What is it, Ginny?"

"Harry, I love you!'

Harry's face fell. "Well...um...you're like a sister to me, but I just don't feel that way about you. I'm sorry."

Ginny burst into tears and ran out the portrait hole. She ran toward the lake, where she often sat and pondered her life. as she ran though the corridor, she swore to herself, "I will never love again!"

When she got to the lake, there was someone already there. As the someone turned around, Ginny could see it was Malfoy.

"Go away, Weasley," Malfoy scowled at her.

"No! This is my spot, go find your own!"

"I was here first," Malfoy spat back.

"Fine, stay here, but shove over!" Ginny retorted, still in tears. As she got closer, she noticed that Malfoy looked like he had been crying, too.

As she sat down, she asked, "Malfoy, you can cry?"

"Yes, I am human, you know. What are you crying for?" Malfoy retorted.

"None of your Business! You don't have to know everything, you know!" Ginny shouted.

"It's about Wonder Boy Potter, isn't it? Not as wonderful as you thought, is he?"

With this remark, Ginny burst into a fresh round of tears. Malfoy looked surprised at this. He put a sympathetic arm around her shoulder. She started to pull away, but resigned and began to cry into his shoulder.

"It's okay just cry. Get it out," Malfoy sympathized. Ginny only responded by drawing closer and crying harder.

They sat there like that for a while, Malfoy with his arms around Ginny, gently rocking back and forth. When they finally stopped, Ginny sat up, wiped her eyes, and looked at Malfoy.

"Thank you. I needed that." She reached up and kissed him. he started at this, but then relaxed into the kiss. As they drew away, they looked into each others' eyes. As slow tears started, Ginny said, "It wouldn't work, you and me."

"Don't cry, Ginny. It can work. we just have to try." With that, they kissed again.

Two weeks later*

The lake had become a frequent meeting spot for Ginny and Draco.

"I love you, Draco," Ginny whispered, almost startled at what she had said. He had always been 'Malfoy' before. Draco looked a little surprised, too.

"I love you, too, Ginny," Draco replied.

"We really should tell my brother and our friends," Ginny sighed as she moved closer to Draco.

"I know, but what will they say?"

Doesn't matter what your friends are tellin' you

Just as long as it's you, nobody but you

"Meet here tomorrow night?" Ginny asked.

"Yes," Draco replied.

*Gryffindor Common Room*

"Ron, Harry, Hermione," Ginny started, "I've got something to tell you."

*Slytherin Boys Dormitory*

"Where have you been?" Blaise Zabini, a Slytherin sixth year, asked. "Tell us now, or you'll regret it," he threatened.

"All right, I'll tell you."

*Back in the Gryffindor Common Room*

.:Thud:. Ron fainted.

Harry turned, said 'Pinch me' to Hermione, who complied, and said, "Repeat that please." He blinked and stared at Ginny. "I thought you just said that you were in love with Draco Malfoy, the enemy, and have been snogging him for two weeks! Please repeat what you just said!"

Doesn't matter what the others think

"It's true, I've been seeing Draco for two weeks now, and I'm happy!" Ginny turned around and ran up to the girls dormitory.

" 'Draco'? She's calling him 'Draco?" Ron came back into consciousness for half a minute and then sank into unconsciousness again.

*Slytherin Boys Dormitory*

"Draco!" Blaise laughed as he clapped Draco on the back.

"You're not mad?" Draco asked.

"Of course not! She's the sister of Saint Potter's best friend! Way to go!" Blaise replied.

Draco scowled and started getting ready for curfew.

*Great Hall-Breakfast*

As Ginny reached for the basket of breakfast rolls in front of her, she looked up and was captivated by Draco's icy gray eyes. When he caught here gaze, his eyes lost some of their iciness.

Hermione saw Ginny staring at Malfoy and tapped her on the shoulder. "Ginny, you know that I don't really approve of your choice for a boyfriend, but I'm not mad. One thing, though. You're drooling!"

Ginny turned the traditional Weasley red and returned to here earlier task of the breakfast rolls.

Doesn't matter what they say

After breakfast, as Draco was leaving, Ron pulled him aside. "Malfoy, you evil git, if you harm even one hair on her head, I will personally come after you and kill you slowly and painfully."

Expressionless, Draco replied, "Easy Weasel, I wouldn't harm her. I love her."

Ron lunged at him, "Don't say that! I'll kill you!"

Doesn't matter what they do

*By the Lake*

Draco found Ginny sitting my the lake, skipping rocks. "Mind if I join you?" he asked.

She turned around to face him and said, "It really doesn't matter what they think. I love you and I don't care what they say or do.

"You took the words right out of my mouth." Draco replied and moved in to kiss Ginny.

Can't believe my dreams are true

I finally found someone whose love is true

And best of all, you love me too

They sat there for a while. Ginny asked, "That night by the lake, what were you crying for?"

"Same thing you were. Broken heart. But it doesn't matter now. I found you, I love you, and you love me too. That's all that matters to me."

And it didn't matter. They had both found someone who love them truly and no matter what trouble, they had each other.

I found someone whose love is true

And best of all, you love me too
