You are one of God's mistakes.

Lucius stormed into the manor. "Draco, you stupid, worthless-"

"Lucius!"

"Silence, Narcissa! Where is the god-forsaken son of yours?"

You crying, tragic waste of skin.

"Father! You're home!" Draco cried, rushing to hug the man he hadn't seen in over a year.

"Get away from me!" Lucius spat, knocking his son to the floor. "Because of you, the Dark Lord's entire brilliant plot has...you stupid, useless...you...you're..." Lucius could only find one word to express his anger. "Crucio!" He exclaimed, aiming his wand at Draco, who fell to the ground again, crying out in pain.

I'm well aware of how it aches.

And you still won't let me in.

"Stop sniveling. I don't even know why you were chosen for this task. You couldn't handle the tiniest job. Point your wand, say the spell, it's over. But it was all just too much for poor, sensitive, spineless little Draco! You're useless, you're weak!" Draco turned and ran upstairs, toward his room.

"Get back here! Crucio!" Draco yelped and tumbled down the steps, landing with a thud and a groan.

"Narcissa, He has taken pity on me for having such a worthless waste of space of a son. We can salvage what little dignity our family has that wasn't destroyed by...that," he said, motioning to the sobbing heap on the floor. "Boy! Now you have permission to leave. GO!"

Now I'm breaking down your door

To try and save your swollen face,

Though I don't like you anymore.

A knock came at the door.

"Draco, sweetie?"

"I thought he'd change. I thought maybe he wouldn't be like that anymore if I'd just...killed Dumbledore. He's right. I am completely worthless." Draco opened his door slightly to see his mother standing there, eyes red from crying. His father stormed in.

"And you would do well to remember that! Now, even though you ruined your future, I can salvage the remains of mine. You just have to leave. You have twenty four hours to get out of here. I am supposed to tell you that there will be Death Eaters hunting for you. They will get you and when they do...well, I really don't care what happens to you now." Lucius looked at his son, eyes full of hatred.

You lying, trying waste of space.

"You could have been something Draco. You lived a blessed life. Now, you are cursed by your own hand. And the hand of the Dark Lord."

My oh my.

A song to say goodbye.

A song to say goodbye.

A song to say...

Before our innocence was lost,

You were always one of those,

Blessed with lucky sevens,

And a voice that made me cry.

Lucius left. "Mum!" Draco ran to his mother. "He's right again. I had everything. Now my life is useless, empty."

You were mother nature's son,

Someone to whom I could relate.

"I've ruined the family. I've ruined me! I could have had the world at my feet!" Narcissa held him as he sobbed.

Your needle and your damage done,

Remains a sordid twist of fate.

"It's over for me, mum. You need to leave, get out before he drags you down with him."

"I can't. I won't, not until you're safe."

"But I won't ever be."

"Then I won't ever leave. You're my baby and I will protect you." She smiled weakly at him.

Now I'm trying to wake you up,

To pull you from the liquid sky.

Coz if I don't we'll both end up

With just your song to say goodbye.

She left the room. Draco began to pack, thinking about what was to happen to him. Always on the run, Death Eaters on his heels. He couldn't escape them.

My oh my.

A song to say goodbye.

A song to say goodbye.

A song to say...

Before our innocence was lost,

You were always one of those,

Blessed with lucky sevens.

And a voice that made me cry.

His mother wouldn't leave his father. She would suffer, all to make sure her boy was safe...or as safe as he could be.

A song to say goodbye.

Trembling, he realized what he must do. Just like he said. Point my wand, say the spell, it's over, he thought. His body followed his last tear to the floor.

A song to say goodbye.
