The summer breeze tickled the back of her neck as her hair slightly grazed it. The sky was a bright blue and the clouds were as large and puffy as she had ever seen them. It would be two more weeks before Hermione Granger would board the Hogwarts Express and return to school. Usually Hermione was absolutely reeling to go back to school by now, but this year she was especially excited.

Hermione Granger was not the same girl who had left Hogwarts a few short months ago. Indeed she was quite different. Hermione had her hair flattened, her teeth fixed and her mother had taught her to use make-up. Hermione Granger had grown up. Over the summer some other things had developed as well. Her body was now more feminine, with all the curves in all the right places. Muggle boys kept asking for her phone number when she would walk down the streets and even muggle men seemed interested. She did look a lot older since her "transformation".

The excitement mainly gathered around what her friends would think. She had been trying to get Ron Weasley to notice that she was a girl for four years now and he barely realized it a few years back. This year he would have to notice. Hermione was more than willing to force him to look at her as a woman and not as a smarty pants, know it all he'd seen her for.

The owl flew into the bedroom window at quarter past nine on Tuesday morning with a letter tied to its leg. Hermione quickly relieved the owl of its burden and unraveled the crumpled piece of parchment. It was a latter from Ron. She scanned the letter quickly. He wanted her to meet him and Harry in Diagon Alley before they caught the train to Hogwarts. She rolled the parchment back up, gave a quick smirk and went up to her room.

The weeks passed like lightning and Hermione soon found herself standing in the back of The Leaky Cauldron pub with her wand out, tapping the brick that led to Diagon Alley. Her heart was pounding rapidly, 'What would they think?'

The Alley was full, as was usual the day school started, wizards and witches were picking up those last minute items. She caught a quick glimpse of Neville Longbottom and his Grandmother. Neville didn't seem to notice Hermione at all; he even scowled when she waved. It took her a moment to realize that he probably had no idea who she was. Ron and Harry were standing outside of Flourish and Botts, seemingly happy.

Hermione walked towards her best friends with a broad smile. "Hello there."

Both boys looked to her suddenly.

"Yes?" said Ron. "Can we help you?" He looked at Harry suspiciously then looked back at the mystery girl. "Umm...Hermione?"

She giggled, "Hello Ron, I hope you're well, you look a bit ill." She smiled back at Harry whose eyes were no where near to meeting hers. He was a bit pre-occupied with Hermione's new "additions".

"What the hell happened to you?" screeched Ron in a gasping voice. "I mean, you got... well hot!" Harry elbowed him in the ribs quickly.

"Thanks, I guess," said Hermione in a sarcastic tone. "Well we better be heading off, the train will arrive soon. My parents are waiting to take us to Kings Cross."

The boys followed Hermione out of Diagon Alley and back to the Mercedes her father was driving. They all hoped in the back and Hermione made it a point to sit between the two of them. No one had spoken much since they'd laid eyes on the "new and improved" Hermione Granger. She was laughing to herself the whole way. Ron was nonchalantly sizing her up when he thought she wasn't looking and Harry couldn't break his eyes away from her sizably large chest.

They arrived at the station just in time. Both Ron and Harry offered to help her with her trunk. Ron became very surly when a muggle boy offered to help as well. "We've got it, thanks!" he said over the sounds of the crowd at the station. The muggle boy looked a bit let down as Hermione walked away. They slipped the barrier to platform 9 ¾ easily. It had become a simple art over the years.

The platform was a bit more crowded than usual. Apparently there were a bit more first year students this year. Hermione did notice how most of the boys stopped what they were doing to take a second glance at her. The short skirt she was wearing may be adding to the attention but she didn't mind at all, in fact, she rather enjoyed all the eyes on her.

Hermione let Ron and Harry struggle to load her things and theirs into a compartment near the rear of the train. They were soon sitting comfortably in their compartment as the train rolled through fields of wild flowers.

"Hermione, what exactly did you do?" asked Harry curtly.

She looked at him and chuckled a bit, "I didn't do anything really, other than flattening my hair. The rest just kind of happened you know."

"Well it looks fine on you 'Moine, keep it that way," said Harry.

Ron looked at Harry with angry eyes, "I think it's ridiculous, all it's going to do is have a bunch of stupid gits drooling all over you like dogs. Next thing we know you'll be dating Draco Malfoy."

Before Ron could finish his tantrum the compartment door slid open and there stood Draco Malfoy with his two goons on each side, Crabbe and Goyle. "Well, Granger finally got tits huh? You look good Granger; if you weren't a filthy mudblood I think I'd try to shag you."

Ron stood up very quickly. He pulled his wand from his pocket. "Shut it Malfoy."

"Oh sit down Weasley; you wouldn't even know what to do with a woman. Granger on the other hand could teach you, I'm sure she's had plenty of blokes in her this past holiday. I saw her walking about London in that tiny skirt, somebody had to have mistaken her for a working girl once or twice."

Ron pushed Malfoy hard on the chest and slammed the compartment door before Crabbe and Goyle had gotten their leader to his feet.
