- I want to say thanks to my friend Melissa, because she sits next to me in the class I am writing this in. She kinda helped me too. She's COOL. Thanks STINA because you have stayed a faithful Ginny/Draco fan throughout, and push me to write more. Even though I lost my other chapters to other stories, you still are pushing me to rewrite them, and I admire that. Thanks EVERYONE!!! THIS IS DEDICATED TO WHOEVER READS THIS--I LOVE YOU! However corny that sounds....
Ginevra Weasley was not the quiet type. She wasn't the loud type either. She inherited all of the qualities of her brothers. Percy's seriousness, Ron's temper, Bill's ambition, Charlie's sense of adventure, and Fred and George's humor. Pour it in a cauldron, what do you get? Ginevra. It's really odd the way she is sometimes. She can switch personalities in a heartbeat. She could be serious in one moment, and in the next she can be fooling around.
Up until recently, she had been going out with Dean Thomas. Until he cheated on her, that is. She hexed him so bad, he was in the Infirmary for a week. Now, she was through with guys, at least for now. She was outside in the Astronomy Tower doing her homework, looking for constellations.
Someone came up behind her, who she didn't realize. She felt a cold hand on her shoulder and she swiftly turned around to see whom the hand belonged to. He was pale, tall, and blonde--a prefect, no less. Which annoyed her more than it discouraged her. She'd probably get points taken, that she didn't care. It was by who was what mattered to her.
"Sod off, Malfoy!" she spat.
"Weasley, have a little respect." He folded his arms across his chest; "I may let you off with a warning."
"Filch should have told you that a student was up here working on homework."
"At this hour? You're lying."
"I have to describe the constellations in proportion to Venus if that makes any sense to you. I have a pass to be here anyways."
She shoved a crumpled looking piece of parchment in his face, and he glanced at it, seeing a signature of the substitute Astronomy teacher Madam Delacour.
"But it says here that you need to have a monitor watch you."
"What! Where does it say that?" Ginny yanked the parchment from his had and he pointed with his wand at the very fine print at the bottom.
Must have a prefect or uzer approved monitor to observe you observing ze starze.
Madame F. Delacour
"Then I guess I'm going to leave then." Ginny piled her things and was ready to leave when Malfoy blocked her path.
"I could stay here."
"But you don't have to be here if I leave, now, do you?" she crossed her arms and looked at him like she won. He simply chuckled and raised a brow.
"True, but the door is locked anyways."
"What?"
"Someone locked it from the outside."
"How do you know?"
"Try opening it."
Ginny grabbed the knob and twisted it.
"What? Unlock it now!"
"Don't you think I've tried?"
"Move." She pushed him out of the way and pointed her wand at the lock, "Alohomora."
She tried for several minutes, and then she finally gave up. She sunk against the wall, and stuck her head in her hands.
"Is there no other way out?" she mumbled through her fingers.
"Well," Malfoy started, and folded his arms again. "There is the window. How about you jump out and I'll come after you."
She peeked through her fingers and scoffed, "How about no. Why can't you summon a broom or something? Didn't Harry do that a few years back for the Triwizard tournament?"
"Why can't you do it?"
"Because, It's not my level. I've tried before.... believe me..."
"Fine. I'll try." He got out his wand and pointed out the balcony. "Accio Scarlet Falcon!"
A few moments passed and soon a broom came flying in the tower, causing them to duck and fall.
"That worked..." Ginny mumbled. "What the hell is on me?" she pushed whatever it was off of her. She soon realized it was an unconscious Malfoy.
"Great." She examined his forehead and realized there was a considerable bump just above his brow. At least the broom didn't hit his eye, which would have been devastating. She looked at the broom across the room, unscathed from the collision.
She conjured up an ice pack, and placed it on his forehead, cursing at the same time asking herself why she had to be so good-hearted.
A few minutes passed and Malfoy woke with a pounding headache. He opened his eyes to find Ginevra Weasley. He scooted away from her looking befuddled.
"What happened?" He questioned cautiously.
"You were knocked out by the broom."
"Oh..." He tried to get up by raising his head, but pain shot through his skull like boiling poison, so he laid his head back down again.
"You should stay still."
"How am I supposed to do that when I want to get out of here?"
"Fine, I won't help." She turned on her heel and started walking toward the broom across the room.
"Wait!" he sort-of shouted. He winced when another pain shot through his head.
Ginny turned back around and crossed her arms.
"What, Monsieur Malfoy? How may I be of service?"
"Er.... can you please help me?"
"I suppose I could help you.... On one condition..."
"What would that be?"
"I'm not certain yet...but wait and see. I'll hold it to you though. I bind you."
"That's not fair!"
Ginny smiled devilishly and strode over to his side. She knelt down and conjured an ice pack and placed it on his forehead.
"How can you do that?"
"Let's just say that my mom wanted me to be safe all the time..."
"So she stuffed you head with knowledge about mediwizard stuff because you're the only girl. Isn't that what a girl should do? Take care of everyone else?"
He grimaced when Ginny pressed the ice pack harder to his forehead. She smiled threateningly and chuckled a little bit.
"If you want me to help you like your little servant, then shut your mouth."
"No need to get fresh with me. I'm a Malfoy."
"All the more reason to." She smirked a Malfoy smirk and removed the ice pack. Ginny then noticed there was a cut almost hidden beneath a bruise. She wet a section of her robes with some alcohol and she dabbed the cut. He flinched, and pushed her away.
"Are you trying to kill me? That hurt!"
"I'm not trying to kill you, lay back down so I can finish!"
Draco reluctantly lyed back down, and Ginny finished with his forehead. He sat up and he felt much better. He was taken aback when Ginny shoved something in his face. It was a potion.
"Take it." She said fiercely waving it in front of his eyes, making him somewhat dizzy.
"Why?"
"It will make you feel better."
"But I already feel better."
"Still. This is to keep the headaches at bay and such."
"Fine."
Draco grabbed the potion and drank it halfheartedly feeling a tingling down his throat.
"Happy?"
"Yep." Ginny grabbed the broom, and mounted it. "Come on, Malfoy."
"Are you going to fly?"
"Of course. You are not in any condition to be flying a broom."
"Then I will be content staying here."
"You are not staying here, Draco."
"Yes I am!"
Ginny got off the broom and went directly in front of Malfoy's face. She grabbed his shirt and pulled him over to the broom.
"You are."
Draco reluctantly mounted the broom, and Ginny mounted as well, in front of him. Ginny looked behind her, and Draco rolled his eyes. She giggled and spoke to him.
"You better hold on to my waist. I don't want you to fall off and die."
"How sweet."
"Don't take it personally, I just don't want Slytherins blaming me for killing you."
Ginny took off with a start when Draco grabbed her waist. A few moments into the flight, they arrived at the Gryffindor tower. Luckily, her window was still open. She hovered outside the window. Luckily, her roommates were fast asleep.
"What are we doing in here?" Malfoy whispered, somewhat shocked.
"There is no window in the Slytherin dormitories because they are in the dungeons, right?"
"Yeah..."
"Do you seriously want to walk through the castle right now?"
"Well, I was supposed to be out anyways."
"Yes, but you were patrolling the Astronomy Tower, which is all the way on the other side of the castle. Why would you be all the way over near Gryffindors?"
"Erm..."
"Exactly. So, you are going to have to spend the night here."
"Spend the night in a Gryffindor girls dormitory?"
"Tomorrow is Saturday, everyone will sleep in. All you have to do is get out of here early."
"I guess you won't let me have any other choice."
"Okay, be quiet."
Ginny slowly flew into the room and stepped down. Draco stepped down as well, and Ginny took the broom and set it against the wall.
"Where am I going to sleep?" Draco asked almost silently.
"You can sleep in my bed."
"Excuse me?"
"I'll sleep on the chair over there, relax. My bed is over there." She pointed to the bed, which was the only one without the curtains closed.
"Oh...okay." He tiptoed over to the bed, and plopped down. He took one last glance at Ginny who was getting ready for bed, before he shut the curtains tight.
He lay down and soon fell asleep.
Author notes: I don't mind flames as long as they aren't so flamey that they torch my story and nothing could put it out. I don't mind flames, because I can take criticism ... but I reaaalllllllllllyyyy like nice reviews.
