The Green Man and the Goddess, Chapter Four

Before the night in the forest I had been lonely. But after that I was estatic. I was no longer alone and I had my soulmate by my side. That night, as we left the forest for the first time, Draco took my hand and he never really let go. I guess what I'm trying to say is that was when he pledged he would always be there for me and never leave my side.

We slowly made our way up to Gryffindor Tower, his hand covering mine and I realized I had never been so content in my life, we didn't even need words to express ourselves to each other. We kept on the look out for Filch and Mrs. Nouris but neither of them crossed our path. Actually no one did. We arrived at the Tower safely and Draco softly pulled me into his arms and looked down at me.

His eyes were so gentle, filled with love. I had no regrets that Draco was the Green Man and not Harry. He leaned down and kissed me on the forehead. I felt a little disapointed and he must of sensed this because he lowered his lips to meant mine and pulled me into a heart stopping kiss. Bliss.

I wished it would last forever but to soon he was pulling his lips away from mine and detaching himself from me.

"I'll see you in the morning, Ginny," he told me in a quiet voice. "I hope you still feel the same way about me in the morning as you do now."

"You have to ask?" I asked, getting rather frustrated. "Of course I will Draco. Hell, I'll kiss you in front of the whole school to prove it, if you insist."

"As much as I'd love to see Weasley's face," Draco drawled, "It won't be necessary. I've never been a fan of public displays of effections. That was always that slut Pansy."

I laughed. Pansy had always glared at me whenever I was close to her and she defenetly was a slut. "I'll see you in the morning Draco. We should talk about our relationship then."

"Alright, sounds like a plan," Draco told me smiling and strolled down the corridor, heading for the Slytherin dungeons I presumed.

I turned around and approached the portrait of the fat lady. "Gryffindor Glory," I whispered to the fat lady, who glared sleepily at me but opened up all the same.

Inside the Common Room was dark except for the fire that still burned in the hearth. I was starting to head up the flight of stairs to my dorm when someone cleared their throat.

"Eherm. Where have you been Virginia?" My brother Ron asked. Even in the firelight I could see that he was flushed red with anger. Sitting next to him were Hermione and Harry Potter. Harry Potter the boy I had loved until approciently two hours ago when I lost my heart to my house's worse enemy. The Great Gryffindor Three did not look happy to say the least.

Of course it wasn't a surprise to me that Ron was mad at me but I didn't think that Harry gave a damn about me and Hermione only pretended to care. She was never there when I was upset. She would just tell me to get over whatever was upsetting me. Yes, Hermione Granger, the golden girl, had a dark side, just like everyone else, although she never really let anyone see it. Not if it was going to effect her relationship with Ron or the one she hoped for. She was obsessed with him but she never wore makeup or straightened her bushy hair so Ron always looked through her. A lot like my old relationship with Harry.

I spun on my heel and glared at them.

"Since when is that your business?" I hissed. "Wait a minute, it never was."

"Of course it's my business, Virginia. I'm your brother." Ron was mad. How could I tell Ron was mad, one might ask. He called me 'Virginia'. No one ever called me that unless they were mad.

"You could lose us house points, Ginny," Harry added. To Harry, all that mattered was that Gryffindor won the House Cup and beating Slytherin and Draco.

"I don't give a damn about the House Cup, Harry. Not everything is about winning a stupid contest," I told him angrily.

Hermione gasped in the background and I thought she might jump into the fight, so I turned around and glared at her. A glare that could kill a bird in mid flight and make babies cry. She backed away from me and sat down. She actually looked scared. I had never seen Hermione Granger scared before.

"Stop being selfish Virginia," Ron almost yelled. "Now where were you?"

"In the forest, snogging Draco Malfoy," I said rebelious. The best lie is always the truth. Ron paled and then reverted back to red.

"Very funny Virginia. Where - were - you- ?" He spread the words out dangerously.

"I'm telling you the truth. Now stop grinding your teeth, Ronald," I told him, empathizing his full name, "It's making a very unattractive sound."

"You better leave, Ginny," Hermione said, speaking for the first time. "Leave before someone does or says something they'll regret."

"Well, that's already to late for Ron." I told her and ran up to my dorm and slammed the door, not caring that I woke up my dorm mates. One of them protested about being woken up but I just snarled at her and jumped onto my bed, casting a spell to keep people out and silence everything from the outside world.

The bliss from just half an hour ago was gone. I let myself fall onto my back, staring at the ceiling, fuming at my brother and his friends. They thought they were all that. Harry had defeated Voldemort with little effort, time and time again.

What was the point of Draco and me? Why were we here when there was Harry bloody Potter who defeated evil with a flick of his wand? I thought bitterly. Draco was supposed to be a great hero but he was constantly overshadowed by Harry. Hell, he couldn't even beat him in a Quidditch match.

I lay on my bed, broading for hours till finally I feel asleep. One minute I was thinking about Draco and I and the next I could hear this terrible buzzing. My alarm. I had to get up or I would miss breakfast and even be late for class.

It was terrible pulling myself out of bed and dragging myself into the shower. My room mates weren't speaking to me. They just glared at me as I entered the bathroom we shared but did not utter a word.

I was late for breakfast, so thankfully the Common Room was empty. Therefore Ron would not be able to give me another leacture about last night, since he wouldn't want to have a shouting match with his little sister in front of the whole school, especially the Slytherins.

I made my way to the Great Hall and surveyed the room. My eyes came in contact with Draco's and he smiled at me from where he was seated by himself at the Slytherin Table. I yearned to go over and sit with him but I grudgingly moved to the Gryffindor and sat off to one side, directly across from Draco, facing the Slytherin Table.

I saw Ron, Harry and Hermione glare down the table at me but they didn't try to approch me or talk with me. So all through breakfast, I just sat there and stared at Draco Malfoy, making contact with his mind and somehow communicating with him. I didn't know if anyone noticed and I didn't particularly care. When I looked into his eyes, all I saw was love.

Draco and I finished our breakfast at the very same time. I looked at him and then quickly glanced towards the door. He nodded and I stood up and left the Great Hall. When I reached the door, Draco in turn, rose from his seat and followed me out of the Great Hall.

I moved towards one of the hallways, off the main entrance hall and he quickly followed me, soon catching up. He placed his hand on the small of my back and followed me down the secluded hallway.

When we had gone around various turns, we stopped and faced each other. I looked up into his eyes and pulled his head down, kissing him with passion. I could feel his tongue, pressing against my closed lips, wanting in my mouth and I opened them greatfully. It had seemed like so long since I had seen him, although it had been less than six hours. I moaned as his tongue explored my mouth, before pushing it out with my own tongue, and exploring his own mouth, the way he had done to me before. His hands roamed down my back, resting on my ass, carassing it and my hands moved relentlessly in his soft, silky hair.

Then he pulled away, out of breath. He looked sorry to lose contact with my lips but he whispered, "I thought we were going to talk, not snog... although I'm not complaining about the snogging."

"You're right," I told him. "We have to talk. Are we going to make this public? Ron will be furious... Harry will be too."

"Who cares what Potter thinks? His opinion is worthless. Unfornunately, I have to admit though, Weasley's does matter. He is your brother and I know you love your family. I don't want you to be estranged to them because of me."

"I don't want to keep secrets, Draco. I hate secrets. Ron was waiting for me last night when I got back and he was not happy. Wanted to know where I had been gone," I gave a little laugh. "I told him the truth of course and he didn't believe me for a minute."

Draco wrapped his arms around me and smiled down at me, laughing as well.

"You know Draco, this is the first time I've really seen you smile or heard you laugh."

"I smiled last night."

"It was dark. I couldn't see you smile. But I'm glad I can," my voice lowered seductively. "I love your smile."

Draco beamed at me and started raining kissed down my lips and sigh and leaned into his kisses.

"What the hell is going on?" someone exploded behind us.

Draco looked up, not letting go of me. "Why hello Weasley, imagine seeing you here."

"Let her go... now," Ron sounded furious and Draco had lost his beautiful smile. The only thing that showed on his face was hate. Pure hate.

"If she wants me to let go, I will," Draco smirked. "Should I let go, Ginny?"

I looked up at him and I could see his eyes pleading, pleading for me to say 'no'.

"No, I'm fine where I am." I told Draco, smiling up him, knowing that Ron couldn't see.

Ron gave a roar and tried to attack Draco and me but Harry and Hermione suddenly jumped out of the shadows, where they must of been the whole time.

Draco and I turned and faced them. Draco carefully took my hand, ignoring Ron's crazy struggles and lead me away, down the hall from them. "You can't fight fate, Weasley," he drawled.

Ron was that unattractive shade of red again and I was scared that he was going to break out of Harry and Hermione's grasp but for the first time in her life, Hermione actually helped me, putting a full body bind on Ron. She then let him go, letting Harry hold him up and took a step back from him, as if she was studing him. Then she grabbed his elbows and pulled him towards her, planting her lips on his and giving him a breath-taking kiss.

Ron's jaw dropped, momentarily forgetting about my betrayal and stared at Hermione as if she had suddenly grown a third eye in the middle of her forehead.

"Sorry," she mumbled and ran away down the hall, leaving everyone shocked.

I took the oppurtunity, while everyone was still recovering by Hermione's little show of emotions, to pull Draco down the hall and run for our next classes since they were about to start.

It turned out he had Defence Against Dark Arts with Hufflepuff and I had Muggle Studies with Slytherin, so the classes were close by. He told me he would meet me outside the Muggle Studies classroom after class and we would do something after that... probably talk, instead of going to class. By then, the rumours would probably be spreading like wildfire, and if they weren't, they soon would.

Author's Note:

Well that's it for now. I'm going to try and make Ginny and Draco a bit evil. They'll be on the edge anyways. Next Chapter Hermione will confront Ginny about her Draco and Gin will tell her about the Goddess and the Green Man. We'll also find out what happened to Gin's Great-Grandparents. Can't really predict anything other than that though. We'll see what happens I guess.
