Chapter Two: What happened afterwards

Finally picking up the phone book, he rang up P 667H's number. An operator's voice said, "connecting", and ME 462C assumed that he was speaking to P 667H at her home.

"Hello?" she answered.

"P 667H, this is ME 462C. What the heck were you thinking?!" he asked incredulously.

"I have no clue..." she said, though ME 462C could hear the strain in her voice.

"How come you, you know, just did something like that?" ME 462C persisted eagerly.

"I... I guess I was just being stupid, I suppose," P 667H's voice had dropped so low that it was barely detectable, "The point is, ME 462C, I really need you to take my case . There's no way I'll even have a chance of getting off without you!"

"P 667H, do you want to talk... you know, in person?" ME 462C asked rather hesitantly.

"That would be really nice, but the only way that I can talk to you is if you come out to Azkaban-" P 667H began, but was interrupted from a violent, passionate display of emotion from ME 462C.

"They're already holding you in Azkaban? That's crazy, that's against the law! You haven't even had your damn trial!" ME 462C swore angrily.

"Yes, I know... So, are you going to come? I understand if you don't want to-"

Once again, she was interrupted, "No way. Of course I'm coming! Of all the bloody injustices!" he insisted.

"Calm down a bit, ME 462C... You're making me nervous," she said grimly.

"I'm coming out there! I'll be out in a bit!" ME 462C insisted vehemently, hanging up the phone.

Instantly, he disappeared with a small pop and re-appeared on the shores of Azkaban.

A Ministry wizard sent to guard the front gates came up to ME 462C.

"What business do you have here?" demanded the wizard curtly.

"I'm here to see P 667H," ME 462C said eagerly.

"One moment... Follow that Dementor. He's headed to P 667H's cell."

ME 462C took off wordlessly after the Dementor, almost delirious in his anxiety.

P 667H looked horrible. Her eyes, once full of vitality and joy, were now gaunt and sunken. Her hair lay in uncombed snarls around her shoulders in five different lengths, stringy and nearly macabre. She was shaking violently, and then suddenly went limp, like a rag doll.

"P 667H, you there? It's me, ME 462C!" he said, appraising her prone figure.

"It's happening... I'm dying!" she cried in her delirium.

"Oh, shit! No you aren't. Now calm down, P 667H," ME 462C said.

"It's P 843J! He's going to kill me! I'll die!" she screamed.

"Seriously, you're going to kill yourself if you continue on like this, P 667H!" ME 462C bellowed angrily.

"I can't help it, I'm dying!" she shrieked.

ME 462C shot her a glare that rivalled the Antarctic in temperature, "You are the most stubborn, pigheaded person I know! Listen to me! You. Are. Not. Dying!"

Suitably calmed now, P 667H glanced up in the eyes of ME 462C. He looked back down into her brown ones, as if seeing their depth and determination for the first time.

"I'll get you out of here. I promise," he said calmly.

"Thank you so much. I really don't have words for what I feel," she said, the vehemence in her voice a great indicator of her feelings.

"Good bye. I'll see you in a couple days," ME 462C promised, his emotions raging with a fire a thousand times the sun's.
