Author's notes : This is my first HP fic, so please be kind! I'd love to hear any comments. Eve is my character, I own her, so please be respectful, thanks!

*Please note - in this chapter, there is a suggested relationship between Remus and Sirius which is a little more than friends. I don't expect this to be any more than a small side-line, and while I do read a few slash-fics, I don't plan to include a main slash pairing because I want to concentrate on the whole Eve/Draco thing. I include this Remus/Sirius pairing because I think it's kind of sweet, and would like to imagine that the reason why Remus's relationship with Eve's mum didn't last was because his heart was elsewhere, even though at the time he was deeply confussed (thinking Sirius had betrayed James and himself etc.) I'm not sure if I know the reason why Sirius and Remus split in the first place, but if I think of one then I might put slight hints in the story, depending on how you guys act about this pairing. Please let me know your comments, if you have any. :)

Chapter Eight.

A few hours later, the Gryffyndor party was in full swing. Eve had been dancing all evening and her feet felt tired, but she didn't mind, she was sitting chatting with Harry and Ron and Hermione in the corner.

Not long after she had arrived, she had changed the music to her Whitney Houston CD and people all over were bouncing and swaying to the new beats. The general thought was that muggle music was good to dance to, and as things had gone down so well, Eve was smiling genuine, happy smiles.

"It's getting kind of late." Hermione noticed, checking the clock.

"Maybe we should get off to bed." Ron suggested, the room had been thining out for some time, and there were only the hardcore partiers left.

"Yeah, come on, let's go." Eve sighed.

They bade each other goodnight, then went to their respective rooms.

"Oh! I've got Ron's watch!" Hermione said, digging in her pockets.

"I'll take it back to him." Eve offered, as Hermione was half undressed.

"Thanks."

Eve sped to the boys dorms and stopped outside the door, ready to knock, when she heard the voices inside and stopped to listen for a giggle.

"What was Lavender saying to you?" Eve heard Harry ask Ron, "You looked pretty cosy there in the corner."

"Oh, I think she was on a mission for Parvati." Ron replied.

"Parvati? what did she want?" Harry asked. Eve could hear a trunk being opened then shut and she assumed the two boys must be getting ready for bed.

"Well, she was asking about you. She was trying to be all casual about it, you know how girls are, but I could read between the lines."

"Oh yeah?" Harry asked with a laugh, and Eve smiled widely at her two friends, her betrayal of them earlier still a sting in her mind.

"Lavender was asking if you and Eve were going out." Ron said casually. At this, Eve strained even harder to listen.

"Why would she want to know that?" From Harry's tone and the sudden silence, she could tell her friend was obviously shocked.

"Well, Parvati fancies you, doesn't she mate?" Ron said it as if it were common knowledge and Harry had been hiding under a rock for the last few years.

"Oh, come on Ron!" Harry laughed. Eve smiled at the way he didn't even know his own good looks. She hadn't been at the school long but already knew that many girls classed Harry as the best looking boy in the school. I would have included myself in that group until recently...... Eve thought with sigh.

"No, seriously Harry, Lavender was quizing me about how close you and Eve were, and she wasn't finding out for herself because she fancies Dean, doesn't she?"

"Well, yeah, I guess she does." Harry mused. "But don't you remember the yule ball last year? I mean, that went seriously badly! I didn't think Parvati would ever speak to me again!"

Eve heard Harry give a little laugh and she smiled. She had heard all about the yule ball from Hermione, but Hermione's version was mostly about how slow Ron was with girls.

"Well, she did, and now I reckon she fancies you."

"Oh well......" Harry sighed. There was a short silence and Eve held her hand up to knock at the door with a smile on her face, but it dropped when she heard Ron continue.

"So, who would you choose, if you had to Harry, Eve or Parvati?"

Eve considered turning on the spot. Maybe some things were best left unknown, some questions left unanswered........she didn't have time to turn though, as Harry had already answered his best friend.

"Oh, Parvati, definately."

Silence.

Oh shit, he hates you! just leave!

With that, Eve turned on her heel and went as quickly and as quietly back to the common room as possible. She stood there, anxious for a moment, clutching Ron's watch in her right hand. Suddenly, Seamus appeared through the Portrait Hole.

"Alright, Eve?" He asked, his usual cheery self.

"Er........yeah!" Eve lied. "This is Ron's," She thrust the watch at him. "Give it back to him for me, would you?" And with that, she exited straight to her dorm room and nestled beneath her sheets without even checking on Hermione.

So he doesn't think of me that way......... oh well, good job I didn't wait around for him to make a move. That's made my decision for me at least......... Draco likes me, I like him. No problem left. Why should I feel guilty for betraying them? all that hand-holding and kissing, maybe it was a joke. Oh well, fine, let Parvati Patil have The Boy Who Lived. I don't want him!

Eve fell asleep with nothing on her mind but confussion.

******

Had Eve stayed around a little before flouncing off, she would have heard both Harry and Ron break out into a fit of laughter.

"Oh come on Ron, that's obvious isn't it? you're always saying how see-through I am."

"You're not see-through about all things mate, just Eve. It's so obvious you're besoted with her."

"God, you make me sound like a stalker." Harry said worriedly.

"Well, it's not quite that bad." Ron laughed.

"Hmm, maybe I make it too obvious. Should I lay-off?"

"Depends on whether you want her to know." Ron got into bed but didn't pull the hangings around his fourposter so that he could carry on talking to his best friend for a while.

"So, is that why you don't make it obvious to Hermione? You don't want her to know?" Harry asked, knowing it would annoy Ron.

"Hey! I don't really fancy Hermione." He glared.

"Oh Ron! give it up!" Harry laughed.

"Yeah, well." Ron grumbled, and they sat in silence for a while. Harry knew the best thing was to leave Ron at times like this, after a little silence, he would always tell the truth. "She doesn't seem to notice me really." Ron shrugged.

"I don't think she knows." Harry said helpfully.

"Really?" Ron turned in surprise.

"Yeah, I think you should make it a bit more obvious." Harry nodded.

"Are you saying this to get me into trouble?" Ron asked, eyeing his friend suspiciously.

"Of course not! I just think you should give her a few hints. Like tonight, why didn't you ask her to dance?"

"Oh what, like you? asking Eve if she wanted to dance every other five seconds?" Ron laughed.

"I didn't!" Harry said in shock. "Did I?"

"Yeah, that's the reason Ginny asked you to dance. You sounded really desperate to get up there and make a fool of yourself in front of everyone."

"Hey! I dance well." Harry protested, at which point both boys expolded into laughter again.

"Yeah, like Hagrid on bloody stilts mate." Ron finished, wiping a tear from his eye.

"Well, I can't be any worse than you." Harry consoled himself.

"Watch it Harry." Ron warned menacingly, throwing a pillow at his friend in the next bed.

"You know, maybe I'll try to lay-off with Eve." Harry decided. "Even though I didn't know I was that obvious. I suppose she did just get here."

"Yeah," Ron agreed. "You've got three years of school left to get her in bed, why rush now?"

"Oi!" Harry laughed. "That's not what I was thinking!"

"Oh no?" Ron asked with a suspcious look.

"No!" Harry threw the pillow in his hands back at his friend and that was the scene that Seamus walked in on.

"Alright boys?" He asked with a chuckle. "Pillow fighting? a bit girlie isn't it?"

"That's us!" Ron said proudly, "Girlie as ever."

"Speak for yourself Weasley!" Harry laughed.

"Here!" Seamus threw Ron's watch at him. Ron caught it in one hand and looked at it. "I saw Eve in the common room, she asked me to give it back to you."

"Oh, right." Ron put it on.

"Hey, how much drink did you ply her with Harry?" Seamus asked, folding down his bed and getting out his pyjamas.

"I didn't ply her with any drink!" Harry blushed and Ron laughed.

"Well she looked ill." Seamus told them, "As white as a sheet when I saw her."

"Maybe I should go check, maybe she's not feeling too - " Harry started, getting out of bed.

"I thought you were going to lay-off!" Ron hissed so Seamus couldn't hear.

"Oh yeah!" Harry remembered. "You know, I don't try to make it obvious on purpose, right?"

"Of course." Ron laughed.

"Right. Night then!" Harry drew his curtains around his bed and snuggled down, thinking what a good night it had been.

**********

"Oh, my head!" Eve complained as they walked down to breakfast. It was just her and Hermione as they both decided they couldn't be bothered waiting for the boys.

"Too much Butterbooze?"

"No, not enough sleep I think." Eve gave a small smile, then realised she would be seeing Draco again in a few minutes so she straightened her robes and put on a grin. "Hey, it was a good night last night, wasn't it?" She wasn't lying, it had been a good party, and she had enjoyed herself up until the last second when she heard what Harry said about Parvati. She was still trying not to think about it. It was just a crush on Harry, so what if he doesn't like me too?

"Yeah, it was alright." Hermione replied, a hint of something suggesting the contrary in her voice.

"Come on Herm, admit it, what's wrong? You've been acting funny all morning."

"Well.......there's something I need to tell you." Hermione slowed her walk.

"Go on." Eve prompted, doing the same as her friend.

"I think I might have feelings for.......well, to be blunt, Ron."

"Oh sweet Merlin!" Eve laughed. "Really?"

"You think I'd joke about this?" Hermione asked with a scowl.

"Oh, okay." Eve nodded, "You don't sound too.....happy about these feelings."

"Well no, I'm not." Hermione flicked her hair back over her shoulder and began to walk a bit faster again.

"Hey! slow down!" Eve called, pulling on her arm to get her back. "'Mione, there's nothing wrong with fancying Ro - "

"Don't say it!" Hermione urged, her eyes wide. "Someone might hear you!"

"Hermione!" Eve laughed, "Anyone would swear we were planning to steal the crown jewels, the way you talk about it!"

"Yeah, well, I just don't want anyone finding out."

By this they had reached the entrance to the Great Hall.

"We'll talk about this later." Eve said in a warning tone and Hermione begrudgingly agreed. They walked into the noise and chatter of breakfast with smiles on their faces and giving a wave to Hagrid, who was at the high table talking to Professer Sprout.

"What class do we have first?" Asked Eve, trying to keep her eyes away from the Slytherin table. Am I playing hard to get? Eve smiled to herself.

"First is Herbology with the Hufflepuffs."

"Oh, the one where I'm paired with that weird-looking guy?" Eve asked, taking the butter from a first year and spreading it thickly on her toast. Hermione started to laugh warmly.

"You mean Justin Finch-Fletchley. Yeah, that's the one."

"Well, he is kind of weird looking, you have to admit." Eve reasoned, and Hermione had to nod, beside herself.

It was only when she saw Harry and Ron coming their way out of the corner of her eye that she let herself sneak a look at Draco, who was .............

Letting Pansy hang around his neck like some kind of charm? I swear I'll kill her! and him! both of them!

Just then Draco, who didn't realised Eve was looking at him, shrugged Pansy away from him and said something to her which made her pull a stranky, hurt-looking face. He scowled at her with those cold grey eyes and turned back to his breakfast. Next to him Eve saw Blaize Zabini lean over and whisper something into Draco's ear. They were very close and Eve narrowed her eyes as though this action would help her lip-read Blaize.

Whatever the girl had said made Draco start to laugh. Within seconds, Blaize had thrown something at Pansy and the girl began to shriek. Over all the noise, it was barely auidble from the Gryffyndor table, but Eve could see the girl wriggle and squirm in her seat. Eve found herself laughing as well, along with Blaize, Draco and a few other boys sitting closely around.

Pansy stood up and stormed from the room just as owls rustled overhead with the arrival of post. Draco caught Eve's eye for a second but she looked away immediately, still angry at him for letting Pansy touch him for even a milliesecond. She knew they had been intimate with each other, yet she had no gaurentte when that stopped, or even if it ever did stop. Mental note to self, find out who this Karen girl is he said he's been with, and the other one. I need to find out if they're better looking than me.........

Eve's thoughts were interupted both by Harry sitting beside her and an owl dropping a piece if parchment on her lap.

"Oh no, not this morning." Eve groaned. "I'm not in the mood."

"Here," Harry offered, "Let me."

"Thanks." She muttered. She was still unsure as to how to deal with Harry now. Should I act like the scorned mistress? no, nothing was happening. I kissed Draco when I still thought Harry liked me, so now I've found out he doesn't, nothing should change. He's my friend, and he cares about me. End of story.

"I don't even want to know what it says." Eve told him with her head in her hands, elbows resting on the table. "Just do that cool burning it charm you know and lets get on with breakfast."

If Eve had expected a reply, she didn't get one, and instead she simply heard the parchment being turned into fire then eventually ashes. She kept her head down, eyes closed.

Suddenly things seemed to be crumbling in on her. First there was the kiss with Draco, which made her feel wonderful at first but then just dropped her into guilt and confussion when she wondered where they stood. Then came the thing with Harry, telling Ron then he didn't like her. She felt offended and hurt inside then utterly ugly. Then Pansy drapping her arms all over Draco and him not realising she was looking at him. Then that stupid note that she never let get to her.

"Eve?" Hermione asked and Eve simply shook her head. She could almost see her friends confussed faces and worried looks, but she didn't move her head up.

Breakfast passed quickly and when she heard benches scrapping around her and feet walking away, Eve looked up to find the dream team looking at her with frowns.

"Sorry, headache." She smiled.

"You should go to Madame Pomfrey." Ron suggested.

"I think I'll just see dad." Eve gestured towards the top table where her father was talking to Professer McGonagall.

"Okay, but don't be late for Herbology." Hermione said soothingly. Eve smiled, her friend forever the scholar.

Eve picked herself up and wandered down to her father. Glancing at the Slytherin table, she saw Draco was reclining in his bench, being the only Slytherin left in the Great Hall. He was watching her body with an appreciative smile, his eyes following her. He had a hungry look and when they made eye-contact he winked. Eve couldn't contain a grin and continued up to her dad.

"Hey daddy." She plonked herself on his lap.

"Morning sweetheart. What's wrong?" He asked.

"Headache." She whinged. She tried to lean in for a cuddle but he held her away and laughed.

"Madame Pomfrey could cure that in a second."

"I know." Eve complained, "But I'm not walking all the way up there."

"Miss Lupin!" Dumbledore's voice announced his arrival behind her.

"Hey Professer." She smiled, still crushing her father under her weight.

"I hope you're not crushing our Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher." The old headmaster smiled with a twinkle in his eye.

"Oh no, he's used to me." She laughed, and Remus thought silently that he was used to it when she was ten but not any more. He loved the way his daughter showed her affection so openly though, so he made no move to push her from his lap.

"Did you get another one of your letters this morning?" Dumbledore asked, looking more grave.

"Yeah, but Harry destroyed it before I got a look at it."

"Did it upset you?" Remus asked, putting his hand softly on his daughter's back.

"No, well, not really it just pi - I mean, just annoys me a bit." Eve grinned at her near slip-up.

"Hmm," Dumbledore mused. "I've got my own ideas on who it could be. Could you put up with it a while longer my dear? just while I try to work on who it actually is."

"Yes, of course Professer." Eve nodded, then got up of her father's lap and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I'll be late for class."

"I'll see you later." Remus clasped her hand.

"Bye Professer." She smiled at her headmaster then wandered down the steps to the house tables. There was now no-one left there, although Eve had noticed Draco didn't leave long ago. When she stepped out of the door to the hall she felt a hand grab her and pull her into a black cupboard.

"Wha - ?"

"Shhhhh!" Draco put his finger to her lips. Then he conjered a fire in the fire-holder on the wall and the room was light. The room, Eve noticed, was full of things used for cleaning like mops and brushes. Eve laughed at the stupidity of the situation then turned and looked at her friend.

"What are you doing bringing me in here?" She whispered with a smile.

"What do you think?" He asked, leaning forward so that their noses were almost touching.

"What about Pansy? I thought you two were........."

"Were what?" He asked, with a confused look.

"Well, she had her arms around you."

"Oh Eve!" He laughed, pulling her into his arms. "You're my girlfriend." He said softly into her ear. "She just tries to hang on me, I shoved her off if you saw."

"Hmmm." She murmurred, warm from his breath on her neck and her insides crackling with excitement from the fact he announced they were boyfriend and girlfriend.

"So what are you worried about?" He asked, tracing his fingertips in tiny circles around her back.

"Am I your girlfriend?" She smiled stupidly.

"Yeah." He took her face in his hands. "Don't you want to be?"

"Course I do!" She laughed, pulling him closer to her.

"Well then, give me a kiss." He laughed.

Eve obliged. She arched her body into his and melted into that serene bliss she remembered from yesterday. Draco responded immediately, sqeezeing her so that there wasn't an inch between their bodies. Eve heard his low moan at the back of his throat that was so sensual she nearly lost all self control. Her mouth became more demanding and urgent on his, flicking her tongue into the warm recesses she found then prowling on to tangle with his tongue in a confrontation that suggested soon kissing wasn't going to be enough.

"Dray....." She whispered, pulling back for air.

"Hmm." He muttered, he had his eyes closed, their foreheads together so they didn't loose too much contact.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too." He smiled, opening his eyes and looking down at her. "How was the party?"

"Boring," She dismissed, "I don't want to talk about it."

"So what do you want to do?" He asked, a mischievious grin on his face.

"Eat you for breakfast." She grinned, sqeezeing him.

"God, you're beautiful." He smiled, touching her hair.

"You're not so bad yourself Mr Malfoy." Eve leaned forward and began to nibble and bite and suck at his ear, then moved down slowly to his neck. When she was finshed, she found he was doing the same to her, his hands running softly over the delcate, flesh of her stomach, then rising slowly but carefully stopping before coming into contact with the fabric of her bra. Wonder when he got so prudish? she smiled. She found his mouth once again and they felt back into a wonderfully passionate kiss in which he trailed tiny kisses all down her neck, going dangerously low, but again stopping himself in time. After another kiss, Eve asked,

"What time is it?"

"Time we weren't hear." He groaned. "What do you say we skip first lesson?"

"No chance!" She laughed, "I'm behind everyone else as it is."

"Come on then." Draco grabbed her hand and put out all the lights, checking in the coridoor before they walked out. "When will I see you?" He asked as they stood not far from the entrance to the castle.

"I dunno, but we have double potions this afternoon so I guess you'll see me then."

"Okay." He said miserably, giving her a swift kiss on the lips before winking and turning in the opposite direction. As if the world had just re-started, students flooded from everywhere and through the crowd, Hermione, Ron and Harry appeared. Harry was carrying her bag and handed it to her.

"Have a good chat to your dad?" Ron asked.

"Oh, er, yeah." Eve smiled, remembering what she was supposed to be doing before Draco Malfoy, her new boyfriend, dragged her into a storeage cupboard and kissed her silly.

"Come on." Hermione took her arm, "Herbology."

*******

"Can I have a cutting of your milk thistle?" Eve whispered to Harry.

"Yeah, sure." He passed over a spiky cutting and Eve took it from him with her heavily-gloved hand. This lesson, Professer Sprout had paired them into couples from the same house for a two-lesson project on healing plants. Harry and Eve had paired up so that Ron and Hermione would be left together. It seemed that silently they had both agreed to play match-maker for their friends.

"So Harry........"

"Yeah?"

"What did that note say?"

"Ah, Eve, you don't want to know."

"Don't I?" Eve asked, horrified. "Was it that bad?"

"Well, it wasn't nice." Harry shrugged. "I'll just open them in future."

"My knight in shining armour?" Eve asked with a laugh.

"Well, knight in Gryffyndor Quidditch robes." Harry voluenteered with a smile.

"Dumbledore says he has an idea of who it is."

"Yeah, Malfoy." Harry spat the name out and Eve turned away as though looking at her plants to hide a grin, remembering his soft touch on her stomach.

"How are we getting on here?" Professer Sprout asked, appearing by the couple with her usual radiant smile.

"Fine thanks Professer." Eve smiled.

"Hmm, maybe you could give Ron and Hermione a lesson in peaceful co-operation."

Harry and Eve looked over to see their friends, who were arguing over ways to prune and snip at their kelp plant.

"Oh, they're hopeless!" Harry laughed.

"As long as the work gets done." Professer Sprout chuckled. She moved on to Seamus and Dean and Harry looked to Eve.

"They can't even see it, can they?"

"Can't see what?" Eve asked, picking up her pruning shears again.

"Can't see that they like each other." He gestured over to where Ron and Hermione were now locked in deadly eye-contact.

"Oh I know!" Eve sighed, "Why don't they just kiss already?"

Harry and Eve laughed.

"Maybe they need a shove in the right direction."

"Huh?" Eve frowned. "You mean, like, leave them alone locked in a room?"

"Well, something a little less gruesome." Harry grinned.

"Hey! maybe we should set them up on a Hogsmeade weekend!" Eve's mind dawned on an idea. "You know, say that the four of us will spend the day together, but we can drop out and leave them two alone together!"

"Yeah, great." Harry nodded. "When's the next Hogsmeade weekend then?"

"Two weeks I think." Eve frowned. "I'll ask my dad next lesson."

"Okay." Harry smiled, and they went on with their plants.

*******

Draco left Eve that morning feeling a little flushed. I've got to learn a bit more self-control. I nearly lost it there. A few more seconds and that flimsy shirt would have been off. Christ! I have to calm down. There's all the time in the world! He shook his head slightly, moving through a crowd coming towards him. But she makes me feel so.......horny? yes, okay, but more than that. She makes me feel alive! I've started to think things I never knew existed. If father knew, I think he'd have me sectioned in St Mungos. I've started thinking about her, needing her, worrying about her. Hell, I've even started being nice to people! this defiantely isn't a good thing.

Draco mused over his thoughts. A voice in his head told him that these feelings of affection were wrong and probably cheep and dirty, but he couldn't help it, he just seemed.......weak, whenever he thought of her. So what? he thought, Maybe Gryffyndors aren't that bad! and Professer Lupin, I mean, so what if he's a werewolf? its not like its his fault!

Draco laughed at himself. Things were definately changeing, and it was Eve causing the changes, but somewhere, deep down, Draco thought he liked this more human side of himself, and picked up a first year's bag for her when she dropped it on the stairs before running off to lessons, unaware of the stir he had just caused.

******

By the time Eve dragged herself to potions she was ready for sleep. Her headache had eventually died by dinner time but left her sleepy from the night before. Ron and Hermione still weren't speaking after the incident in Herbology so Harry and Eve had to sit inbetween them in all the lessons they had. Hermione would grumble to Eve at one end and Ron would grumble to Harry at the other end.

"Great, just what we need." Harry said, nudging Eve as they neared the dungeons, "Ron and Mione fighting, two hours with Snape and Malfoy giving us the evil eye all lesson."

"I thought you said he'd layed off?" Eve frowned. Ron and Hermione were walking behind them in silence, angry scowls on both their faces.

"Well, he has, but I caught him staring at us this morning at breakfast, I think Ron might have been right, he might be planning something."

"Surely not?" Eve asked, trying to suppress a grin.

"Yeah, well it is Malfoy." Harry sighed.

They waited in line to file into the dungeon classroom, but when Snape opened the door there was the inevitable push as Neville dropped his bag and students at the back began wondering what the hold up was.

In the crush, Eve smiled at Draco and he moved slightly towards her. She felt something being pressed into her hand. At first she thought maybe he was just trying to hold her hand but then the push and shove began to die away and she found a srumpled up piece of parchment in her hand. She grinned like a maniac, then realised that with Harry and Hermione sitting either side of her, she'd never get a chance to read it.

She pushed her way to the back of the class and snagged four seats. Draco was down the front, now chatting to Zabini about something. Harry sat himself next to Eve and Hermione sat the other side. Ron angrily threw his bag next to Harry and muttered something to him about girls being pushy and bossy. Eve smiled, still clenching the piece of parchment in her hand.

Snape had not yet arrived, so she decided that 'accidently' dropping something on the floor would be the only way. At this, she knocked Hermione's text book off the table.

"Oh! sorry Herm." Eve smiled, "I'll get it."

She bent down under the desk and kicked the book further from her reach. When she was sure Hermione and Harry were discussing what Snape would make them do this lesson, Eve looked at the parchment (it was quite big, about the size of a book page) and grinned.

hey sexy.

don't worry, this is charmed so no-one else

can read it. I have the other half, so whatever you write

on this will come up on my piece and vise-versa. Ce' va?

I thought this would be a nice little way for us to keep

in touch. whatever you write will die away after a few

minutes.

Draco.

Eve's heart gave a little flutter. Oh! he's so sweet! and his hand-writting is so sexy! Wasteing no time, Eve got up again and sat on her seat. To everyone, it looked as though she had a blank piece of parchment in her hand.

"What's that?" Hermione asked, spotting it.

"Oh, I charmed it so no one but me could see it." Eve smiled, "I'm gonna take notes in my own words because this stuff is too difficult for me, and if Snape catches me taking notes, he'll know I need extra lessons and I'm not spending any extra time with him than I have to!" Eve laughed. Hermione smiled and put a comforting hand on hers.

"I'll help you if you need it you know."

"I might just take you up on that Mione." Eve nodded, and Hermione looked satisfacturaly happy. Eve sighed inwardly and waited for Snape to enter and start talking before she scribbled back to Draco.

Hello Dray!

Wonderful idea! Won't ask you where you learned

the trick though, as it might be something icky and dark arts

related. *grin*

hey! I didn't know you spoke French! what's all this Ca' va

bollocks? Good job I speak it too, eh? (Theres one thing you

didn't know about me! I speak Welsh too - my Gran spoke it as her

second language. don't suppose you know any of that?)

oh! I love this parchment idea! you're so sweet!

Eve.

xx

Eve smiled to herself then looked up to listen to what Professer Snape was saying. She was just actually learning something when she saw her words die away and other's flare up in their place.

Eve,

Yeah, best not ask where I learnt

this. Another one of my father's useful tricks.

Yes, I speak French - voules vou couche avec moi se soi?

I've never even heard Welsh - you'll have to teach me.

Dray (that's really quite cute of you, but

then everything is. )

xx

Eve wondered whether to write back - 'yes, of course I'll sleep with you!' but then thought the better of it and blushed. She was gazing stupidly at the desk when Hermione stood up.

"What's going on?" Eve asked.

"Weren't you listenning?" Hermione asked without her usual annoyed tone.

"Er, no." Eve screwed up her face, "Sorry."

"It's okay." Hermione sighed, "You can be my partner, I'll help you."

With that, Hermione went down to the front of the class with a lot of the other students and began to pick at things from Snape's desk. Harry and Ron had both gone, so she wondered if she should follow, but she was left alone at her back bench and when Draco turned around to face her with a smile, she knew she wasn't going anywhere.

'Hey.' She mouthed with a grin.

'Not helping Granger?' he mouthed back, nodding towards where Hermione was picking out ingrediants. Eve shook her head and he smiled in response. He went over to Blaize and began to sort out bits of dying plants while laughing with his friend.

Draco,

I wish that you would come back here right now and

kiss me. I miss your hands on me you know. You look damn

fine in those robes today. Don't suppose they're hiding a

raging hard-on from sitting next to Goyle too long are they?

*naughty grin*

Eve.

xx

p.s. I'll teach you Welsh whenever you like, but you have to

teach me something in return................

p.p.s. I'm not answering the French question, to save your

blushes.

When Draco returned to his desk, his eyes went immediately to the parchment and Eve saw him grin.

Well, they're hiding a raging hard-on now

you remind me of my hands on you...........

*must concentrate on Snape making out with my

father, that always helps matters*

Ah, how I'd like to ram you against that

wall right now.......I'd teach you a few things then.

Draco.

Eve wrote back immidiately, promising herself this would be the last message of the lesson, after all, she really did need to learn something, and she was behind everyone else.

When will I see you again? I think I need your kisses........

The reply Draco sent made a tingle of excitement run up Eve's body :

How about behind the greehouses? it's pretty nice out

there. Right after this lesson (I'm not sure I can wait

much longer...............)

Eve grinned and went on with her potion making, helping Hermione only minimally, as she was really quite unsure of what to do. She kept one eye on the clock, and when the bell rang, she sighed with relief. She looked at Draco and he turned and winked at her slyly.

"I'm going to go see my dad." Eve told her three friends when they got out of the dungeons. She could have sworn she felt Draco pinch her arse as he went past and it did nothing to calm the butterflies in her stomach.

"Okay." Hermione smiled.

"See you later." Harry followed the others up to Gryffyndor Tower, and as soon as they were out of the way, Eve exited the castle via the main entrance and made her way to the greenhouses. Thankfully, Draco was waiting for her, leaning against a nearby tree. When she approached, he gestured for her to follow him, and when they were privately concealed behind a small wall down an over grown passageway, Eve dropped her bag and Draco pushed her gently but forcefully against the wall. She moaned in frustrated pleasure as his lips once again lay on hers. Their kisses were more urgent and more passionate than ever.

"Oh.....Draco!" She whispered, as he began to suck hungrily on her neck. After a moment, she felt his teeth graze the soft skin of her shoulder and she moaned.

"Oh, you like that?" He smiled, watching her sqirm with pleasure against him. She simply nodded with a smile. Her eyes were full of lust and she had a flush of arousal in her cheeks.

"Damn, you're sexy." He gently ran his fingers over her lips.

"Do it again." She pulled her shirt collar lower for him, exposing her shoulder once more.

"Magic word?" He grinned.

"Now, Malfoy!" She smirked and he obliged.

They stayed like that behind the greenhouses for about half an hour, savouring the presious time alone together.

"I've really got to go and see dad." Eve told Draco as she played with the collar of his mostly unbuttoned shirt. Eve's own shirt was also unbuttoned dangerously low, and she had love bites trailing down to the top of her breasts. Draco hadn't dared go lower, he didn't want to push his new girlfriend so early on.

"Not with those marks on your neck." He smiled, still holding her close.

"Are they bad?" She asked, a shy, child-like vulnerability in her eyes.

"Well, looks like you've been having a pretty heavy session if you ask me." Draco grinned, carefully considering the marks on Eve's neck which his own mouth had made.

"Can you get rid of them?" Eve asked. Draco simply nodded, pulling his wand from his robes pocket and touching it to each one of the fierce love-bites.

"No!" Eve smiled as he was about to cover over the last one which was just above her bra on her right breast.

"Why?" He frowned.

"Souvenier." Eve grinned mischieviously before pulling his now smiling face down on hers for another passionate kiss. She began to do up her shirt and pulled away from the embrace to find her robe, which had been disguarded somewhere in the passion of earlier. Draco held out the item she was searching for and they shared a smile.

"I'll see you later." She told him, picking up her bag and throwing it on her shoulder.

"When?" He asked, finding himself suddenly desperate never to be parted from this girl.

"I'll write on that bit of parchment." She kissed the end of his nose before ambling slowly away from him, walking backwards so she didn't have to break eye-contact. "Cool idea, by the way."

She turned with a smile on her face and her slow jog turned into a run as she approached the castle. She was still tingling all over from their encounter, and that last love-bite she had fore-bade him to remove seemed to burn at her skin, making her re-live the sensation of his mouth so low down on her body. All sorts of notions ran through her mind about how lower his mouth could go and she found herself grinning more, but she composed herself upon entering the castle and making her way to the DADA classroom where she found a pile of scrolls on her father's desk that looked to be in mid-marking.

Immediately, Eve worried that her father had transfigured early this month. Tonight was the full moon, but he usuall didn't actually change until late evening. Eve checked her watch, it was still early, on around five-ish. She threw her bag down on one of the tables and went to the store-room door, where she heard muffled voices and knocked.

"Who is it?" Her father asked catiously.

"Me, daddy, let me in!" Eve frowned. She heard her father say 'Alohamora' and the door unlocked. Eve turned the handle and found her father sitting with a smile on his face in his armchair next to the fire. At first, Eve wondered what had put the smile on Remus's face, but when she looked into the fire, she saw the answer.

"Uncle Sirius!" She laughed. "What are you doing here?"

"Just thought I'd visit Moony, while he was still in a fit state to visit, that is." Sirius grinned at his best friend.

"Watch it." Remus chaded him with a smile, mock-angry.

"When are you going to visit us then?" Eve asked, sitting opposite her father in another comfy chair the other side of the fire. The room flickered in the fire-light and cast an orange glow which made Eve feel warm and secure.

"Soon, I hope, but I'm on a bit of Dumbledore buisness right now." Sirius tapped his nose.

"Oh!" Eve laughed. "Top secret?"

"Top secret." Sirius returned her smile and nodded. "Where's Harry?"

"Oh, he's in Gryffindor Tower." Eve told him, bringing her mind back to before the incident with Draco, which seemed to have wiped her mind of anything else. She grinned once again at the memory of her boyfriend. "Ron and Hermione have been fighting, so Harry is playing chaperone."

"Why don't they just - " Sirius started, and Eve finished for him,

"Kiss already? yeah, I know." The two laughed, and Remus smiled at the way his daughter got on so well with his best friend.

"Right, well, I'd best be off." Sirius told them both. "Can't hang around too long. I'll see you in a few days Remus," He winked at the Professor. "Look after yourself. Eve, take care of Harry for me."

"I will Uncle Sirius." She smiled.

"Good girl. Bye!"

"Bye!" Eve and her father chourosed together. When Sirius was gone, Remus turned to his daughter with a smile. He looked weiry though.

"Sorry," Eve apologised, "Did I........interupt anything?" Her eyes went a little wide. She had suspected for a long time now that things between her father and his best friend were a little more than just friends. Although they hadn't spoken about it directly, Remus hinted now and again that some kind of relationship had formed while the two boys were still at Hogwarts and that relationship was now beginning to form once again after Sirius's long spell away in Azkaban.

"No sweetheart, nothing at all, he was just seeing how I was, you know how he fusses over me." Remus shut his eyes and laid his head back on the chair.

"You tired, dad?"

"Slightly, yes."

"Have you had your potion? I can go get you some."

"I've taken it." Remus smiled, cracking his eyes open enough to see his daughter. "You're as bad as Sirius. Between the two of you, I'll be wrapped up in cotton wool."

"We love you dad, that's why." Eve shot him a 'I'm-still-concerned' glance. "Maybe you should take a lie-down."

"I was planning to get those essays marked." He nodded towards the classroom.

"Don't worry about that dad, lock this door and have a nap. When you wake up, you'll probably have changed already, so you can just hide out in here." Eve got up from the chair and went over to her dad, getting one last cuddle from him. "Merlin, I really do hate this bit." She said, her words muffled by his robes. "I'll miss you."

"And I'll miss you too." He smiled. "Stay close to Harry, okay?" Eve simply nodded, thinking that Harry would probably rather have Parvati stay close to him.

"I'll see you in a few days. Should I put the dark locking charm on the door?" Eve asked.

"Best had." Remus nodded. With one last kiss and a wave goodbye, Eve left her father and put a highly complicated locking charm on the door to the darks arts classroom as she left.

I think that's why I'm not as wary of Draco as everyone else, because I know quite a bit of Dark Arts myself. Not that I would ever use it of course, but then again, after looking into Draco's eyes when he's being so open and honest and sincere, I don't think he would ever use any of the things he knows either. He's not so evil like everyone thinks, in fact, I think they all had their eyes shut when looking at him.

*******

Dray? you there? look, I'll meet you on the in the astronomy tower, around midnight.

love Eve.

After writing that note, Eve went down to the common room and sat talking with Harry, Ron and Hermione (who were now back on speaking terms after Harry forced them into working on a potions problem together).

"Are we all going to Hogsmeade next weekend then?" Harry asked in his best casual voice.

"Yeah." Eve smiled, "My first Hogsmeade weekend, I'm excited."

"Of course." Ron nodded.

"Count me in." Hermione said, not raising her eyes from her text-book.

"Good." Eve gave Harry a little wink, and then Seamus came over, engauging them all in deep conversation about the upcoming Gryffindor vs Slytherin match.
