- well...i would just like to thank Aleena Malfoy cuz she started me in fiction alley and she was kinda a beta. (read her fics!). i just want everyone to read and review (with an honest opinion) cuz this is my first fic.
Harry Potter looked at himself in the mirror. He looked at his green eyes, dark hair, glasses, and the scar shaped like a lightning bolt, and sighed. He was the Boy Who Lived. He was the best quidditch player. He had awesome friends. He wasn't happy.
He had had a terrible day. First, Ron had yelled at him for no apparent reason. Then, he had got his Potions quiz and received 11% marks. Then, Snape took fifty points from Gryffindor because Harry and Malfoy started dueling in the corridors. Now, he received a detention from Snape.
Harry sat down on his bed, all alone and depressed. Ron and Neville were in the common room with everyone else. He picked up the photo album of his parents that Hagrid had put together for him in his first year. Look at them, Harry thought, as he looked at his parents, smiling. They look so happy.
Suddenly a piece of parchment slipped out of the back of the album. It fluttered down, on to the ground.
"What's this?" he asked, out loud. He picked up the parchment and looked at it.
SEE YOUR FUTURE!!!
JUST READ THIS INCANTATION THREE TIMES,
AND PRESTO!
MAY MAGIC BE UPON YOU.
FUTUROFA, INCANTUM.
ESFUTURES VIA.
Harry stared at the parchment in amazement. Cool, he thought. Harry wondered what would happen if he tried to do the spell. "It wouldn't hurt to try," Harry said, as if trying to convince himself.
He repeated the incantation three times. "Futurofa Incantum. Esfuturo via. Futurofa Incantum. Esfuturo via. Futurofa Incantum. Esfuturo via!" He raised his voice each time until he was practically shouting.
Harry waited. Nothing happened. "Maybe I said it wrong," he wondered to himself.
All of the sudden, there was a whooshing sound. Swirls of magnificent colors surrounded him. Then, as suddenly as they appeared, they disappeared.
He was in his room, but it wasn't his room. Things were different. His poster of the England quidditch team was gone, as with everything else he owned. "What the hell is going on here?" Harry muttered to himself.
He made his way down to the Gryffindor Common Room, but no one was there. He went down to the Great Hall.
Harry spotted Professor McGonagall walking briskly down the corridor, towards the Great Hall.
"Hi Professor," Harry said.
Professor McGonagall just kept walking, saying nothing and ignoring Harry.
That was rude, Harry thought.
He walked into the Great Hall. There was a shower of colors from all four houses. There was a banner saying HOGWARTS REUNION. WELCOME BACK!!! The Hogwarts seal was on it.
"I'm in the future!" Harry exclaimed. "Wicked!"
He spotted an older looking Ron and walked up to him. "Hey, Ron!" Harry said, enthusiastically. He was excited to be in the future. Ron just stood there, ignoring Harry.
"He cant hear me!" Harry exclaimed. "I'm invisible! Awesome!"
Harry spotted himself, sitting with Hermione, holding a baby in his arms. He and Hermione were holding hands and kissing.
"Oh no!" Harry exclaimed. "Ewwww! I married Hermione! #@%! Ahhhhh!" He tried to calm down. He studied older Harry. He had grown quite handsome, and he even got rid of his glasses and replaced them with contacts.
Hermione had become quite beautiful. Her normally bushy hair was straight and sleek, and she looked stunning.
Harry was stunned at how beautiful Hermione had gotten. "No wonder I married her," he said out loud. "But still, gross!" Harry gave a little thought to this. He and Hermione were only friends, really good friends. They would never fall in love.
Harry wandered around, looking for familiar faces. He saw Mandy Brocklehurst and Roger Davies, both Ravenclaws, paired off. He also saw Justin Flinch-Fletchy paired with Hannah Abbott, a Hufflepuff.
"Ahhh!" Harry heard a loud crash, and turned around in time to see Neville Longbottom fall down the stairs. Ginny Weasley rushed to him and put her arms around her. Of course they would be together, Harry thought, shaking his head, as he looked upon Ginny and Neville.
"Sweetie!" Ginny cried. "Are you okay?"
"I-I-I'm fine," Neville said, shakily.
Harry walked up to him and read the I.D. badge that everybody was supposed to be wearing. It said:
NAME: Neville Longbottom
OCCUPATION: Minister of Magic
What??!! Harry almost fell over. He was doubled over, laughing so hard that tears were coming out of his eyes. Neville? Minister of Magic? Someone is very screwed up, Harry thought as he was laughing. He stopped as soon as he heard Professor Dumbledore speak.
"Attention everyone!" he said. Dumbledore still looked the same as before. His looks hadn't aged at all. "I would like to take this time to welcome all of you to your fifteen year Hogwarts reunion. Would all the Professors please join me up here?"
Professor McGonagall, Professor Binns, Hagrid, Professor Sprout, Professor Trelawney, other professors, and last, but not least, Snape, all went to stand behind Dumbledore.
"I would like to welcome our new caretaker, who has filled the position of Argus Filch, Mr. Vincent Crabbe!" Polite applause broke out.
"Now, I wish for all of you to enjoy!" Applause broke out and the chattering resumed. Harry saw Ron join older Harry and Hermione.
"Hey, Harry," Ron said.
"What's new, Ron?" future Harry asked.
"Not much," Ron responded. Ron had grown a tangled red beard, to match his bushy hair. Harry also noticed that Ron had packed on quite a few pounds. He had a huge potbelly. Harry read his I.D. badge.
NAME: Ronald Weasley
OCCUPATION: Gringott's curse-breaker
It looked as if Ron had taken after Bill.
Harry went over to future Harry and read his badge. It said that he was an Auror. Of course, he thought. Just like Professor Moody had said. It also said that he was an ex-seeker for the England Quidditch team. Wicked!
"It's a shame what happened to Draco Malfoy," Hermione said, shaking her head sadly. Hermione's badge said that she was an Auror also. Moody said that she had potential to be one too.
"That slimy git deserved what came to him," Ron said angrily.
"Calm down, Ron," future Harry said.
What happened to Malfoy? Harry wondered. Future Harry had changed the subject to Quidditch.
Harry wandered out to where a group of old Slytherins had gathered. Harry was truing to find Malfoy. He wanted to know what had become of him.
The group of old Slytherins were with their spouses and children, gossiping.
Harry wandered around some more, to a dark area in the Great Hall. He discovered Lavender Brown and Parvati Patil making out it the corner. They had become gay.
"Oh Severus," he heard a familiar voice crooned, in a seductive way.
"Yes, my dear?" he replied.
Harry wandered over to wear the voices were coming from, and what he found was very, very, disturbing. Millicent Bulstrode was snogging Snape.
Harry let out a cry. "Ahhhhh!" He turned and walked away, very quickly. He was suddenly feeling very lonely.
There was a copy of the Daily Prophet in front of him, on a table. Harry picked it up and read the headlines. DRACO MALFOY, A SERVANT UNDER THE COMMAND OF HOUSE-ELVES, DOBBY AND WINKY, by Rita Skeeter. It said something about the Malfoys' going broke, and Draco was abandoned by his parents. Dobby hired Draco out of pity.
"No way!" Harry said. He doubled over with laughter at the thought of Draco working for his old house elf. He was laughing so hard that tears were streaming out of his eyes. "So this was what they were talking about," he said, referring to the conversation between future Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
What Harry saw next almost made him hurl. He saw Professor McGonagall openly flirting with Hagrid. Then she kissed him. Sirius was there also. He was standing by himself, until Harry's neighbor on Privet Drive, Arabella Figg walked up to Sirius and hugged him. Harry filled himself with rage. What the %$@! What is that old bat doing here?! I thought she was a Muggle living on my street, being my stupid babysitter until Hogwarts. AHHH! Everything is so damn screwed up! (A/N: I know that's a bit way out of character, but I felt like putting that in).
"WHAT is wrong here?" Harry asked, bewildered. He was practically shouting. It seemed that everyone was becoming more romantic, more into the romance thing, even the Professors. Harry didn't like the future anymore.
"I want go back!" Harry whined, repetitively. Suddenly everything was changing. He went back through the time warp.
Harry found himself on his bed. He sat up. What just happened? Was that a dream? he asked himself. When he looked around the room, he discovered that it was his room. He found the photo album of his parents where it always was. The parchment with the spell on it was nowhere to be found.
"Strange," Harry muttered. Ron burst into the room, making a lot of commotion.
"Hey, Harry! Look what I found on the floor earlier. I couldn't find you to show you, but now I can. Look at this parchment," he said. "I wonder if it works."
Harry groaned. He knew exactly what would happen.
Ron took a deep breath and said, "Futurofa Incantum. . ."
