It is the summer of 1997, and all Hogwarts walks in fear. Six months earlier, Death Eaters attacked the Hogwarts train on its return from the Christmas holidays, killing some students, and taking others back with them. And Ginny saw the final fall of Draco Malfoy. Little does she know that the worst is yet to come. Yet she cannot stop trying to figure out the point of inevitability, the last chance to change the events that are bearing down on her like an avalanche. She may not know, but she can remember that last summer before it all began, the summer at Twelve Grimmauld Place with Sirius Black... and the secrets Harry did not know.

In the summer of 1997, the entire wizarding world is at the edge of war. The Death Eaters have escaped Azkaban and killed dozens of students on the Hogwarts Express, and the school has become a fortress of fear. Yet Ginny cannot resist going to Sirius Black’s grave on a long, hot summer evening, and as she tries to unravel the mystery of his life and death, she falls into a dream of the last days at Twelve Grimmauld Place with him, two years before. And when Ginny wakes to the reality of 1997 Hogwarts, she begins to understand why she is remembering all of these long-gone events. Although her last chance to save the wizarding world from the doom that awaits it has passed, there are powers to whom nothing is impossible—for a price.

Ginny is trapped at Twelve Grimmauld Place over the summer of 1995, and little does she know that her troubles are just beginning. The Aurors are being called back early from their mysterious mission in order to rescue Harry,and, as Ginny learns during a long, sultry August night, Sirius is very much in the thick of things-- although his godson will never know it.

The tension is mounting at Twelve Grimmauld Place as Ginny discovers Ron and Hermione's secret and takes a bold step into danger and discovery. But can Ron ever forgive her? Once again, a little forbidden knowledge is a dangerous thing...

In the Chamber of Secrets, Tom tried to possess Ginny, body and soul… but he didn't quite succeed. Ginny has returned safely from her mysterious trip to St. Mungo’s. But back at Twelve Grimmauld Place, the danger is only beginning. The aurors are being brought back from their secret mission, and one of them brings an unexpected guest-- Draco Malfoy, who finds some unexpected help in hatching his evil plans.

When Ginny realizes where Kreacher has taken her from Twelve Grimmauld Place, she knows that at last she faces the greatest danger of all, and that there is no-one to save her from Lucius Malfoy's evil plans but herself. It's going to take all her wit and cunning to get herself out of this one... but will Draco be a help, or a hindrance? And yes, this IS the infamous Lucius/Ginny chapter. Again, the author apologizes... but it has to be, as Ginny finds out...

Lucius Malfoy has dragged Ginny into the sinister Room of Ritual beneath Stonehenge, and there’s no way to escape his evil plans for her now… or is there? All is not what it seems to be, as Ginny finds out. She also learns that Snape and Sirius hate each other even more than she thought they did, and that their mutual loathing has deeper roots in the past that anybody has guessed. For some strange reason, Draco seems to be right in the midst of it. And, as usual, things really get interesting once Loki starts meddling in the lives of mortals again…

One good thing about being trapped between the Devil and Draco Malfoy in the tower room at Twelve Grimmauld Place on Lughnasa is that he just might decide to explain everything to you. The Devil, that is, since Draco¡¦s not about to explain anything. That¡¦s what Ginny finds out, anyway¡Xalthough she doesn¡¦t like what she hears, and neither does Sirius. But we get to learn even more about what really happened two days before Harry arrived at the start of OotP¡K and the secrets he did not even suspect.

On the day before Harry finally arrives at Twelve Grimmauld Place, everyone tries to pick up the pieces and go on. But what no-one expects is that Sirius and Ginny will be left alone in the house… just as the storm is breaking, and Kreacher is plotting. And what happens then is only one of the things that must be kept from Harry… Yep, this IS the infamous, long-threatened S/G chapter!
