The Joke's on Us

He looked up at the sign. "Here goes nothing." H
e sighed, took a deep breath, and entered the small shop.
"Harry! It's so good to see you!" cried a young red-haired man from the back of the shop as he pocked his head around the corner of a shelf. "We've been wondering when you would be arriving!"
"It's about time," someone whispered just behind him, Harry jumped and turned around, George was standing behind him, roaring with laughter at his attempted joke.
"You two seem to be in a good mood," Harry muttered as he was ushered further into the shop and through a small door in the back that read 'Weasley's ONLY'.
"So, where's our brother? Hermione? Ginny? Have they all deserted you because they were afraid to come in?"
"No, I just didn't tell them I was coming, I thought it would be good to be out by myself for a while," replied Harry, gazing around him at the boxes stacked near to the ceiling spilling over with Skiving Snackboxes.
"So tell me Harry," said Fred, drawing Harry's attention away from the Snackboxes, "would you like some tea? We have some biscuits also if you like." Fred pulled out his wand and flicked it at the table, which filled itself with biscuits and tea.
Harry chuckled n
ervously. "Sure, I'll take some biscuits, thanks." He took one of the smaller ones and hastily ate it, afraid that they had put something into it that would make him faint or have a horrible nosebleed.
It only took him a few seconds to feel the effect of the unwanted biscuit bubbling up in his already upset stomach, and he lurched forward toward the table, he jerked his head aside just in time as he threw up all over the nice new wooden floor the twin brothers had had installed.
"Oh, well, sorry about that Harry, didn't realize you'd had the flu," George said
, handing him half a biscuit and cleaning up the floor with a swipe of his wand. "Here, this kind should help, it's better for upset stomachs."
Harry nodded dumbly and accepted the biscuit, hoping that George was right, he ate the half. He was quite content with what he had, for his stomach had stopped hurting with the eating of the biscuit, though he had only had half of it, so really he was happy with his stomach finally calming down enough for him to be able to sit comfortably. He had just gotten over the stomach flu the day before, and he still had to watch what he ate.
"Here, have the other half." Fred leaned over the table and handed him the other half of the biscuit.
Harry sighed gratefully. He was really starting to enjoy not having his stomach hurt. He was eager for more of that biscuit so that he would be able to be comfortable for a little while longer.
He ate the biscuit--big mistake. Harry had never been someone prone to nosebleeds, but for some reason his nose chose that moment to begin pouring blood, it dripped out of his nose onto the table. He quickly brought his hands up to his nose when he realized what was happening, apologizing all the while to Fred and George, who seemed to be having horrible luck with getting the blood stains out of the white table cloth.
"Its all right Harry, we'll get Mum to magic it out, we've never been the two for cleaning spells, have we Fred? Anyway, we've been experimenting with remedial biscuits, and it just so happens we have
one for nosebleeds. Here you go." George handed him yet another biscuit.
Harry ate it without thinking, this was the worst nosebleed he had ever had, and he wasn't really having fun trying to stem the flow with his hands, it didn't seem to agree with his breathing and talking at the same time, plus, his voice was sounding very nasal-y. Luckily, George knew what he was talking about, and his nosebleed stopped almost at once.
The twins showed him where the sink was and let him wash the blood off of his hands before he came back and sat with them.
"I'm sorry, it seems that my body is acting up today, hopefully nothing else out of the ordinary will happen." Harry smiled at the two of them, looking at the biscuits. "Though I'm quite afraid I've lost my appetite for these biscuits, would it be all right if I had some tea?"
Fred g
ave him his most charming smile. "Absolutely, here have some of this." he poured Harry a little bit of tea from the bigger pot sitting on the table and handed it to him. "Here you are," he said, watching as Harry took a sip.
Harry immediately found himself with horrible shivers, he wrapped his arms around himself and put his feet on th
e chair as to acquire body heat. "Is it just me or did it get really cold in here?" He set his tea down and looked at the twins, who seemed to be trying not to laugh.
George looked at him, rose from the table and put his palm on Harry's forehead
. "It seems you have a fever, young Harry, we happen to have biscuits for fevers too." He handed Harry a biscuit, which Harry hastily ate, and he found his palms becoming sweaty and his fever breaking, he sat up shaking and looked up at the twins.
"Wow, you guys really have been busy with your inventions, you seem to have something here for everything," he said, wiping his palms on his jeans.
"Yep," replied Fred, "we even have something to make someone eat if they faint. Want another cup of tea?" he asked, pouring Harry a glass from the smaller tea pot.
"Er, I don't think so--"
"Fred, George, you should be ashamed of yourselves!" a thin voice said from one of the corners of the room.
Fred and George looked toward the corner with looks of utter dismay on their faces when they saw that Ginny, Hermione, and Ron were staring at them with crossed arms.
"If we had known you were going to do all this we would have sent someone in who hadn't just gotten over the flu," said Ginny, making a gesture toward all of the biscuits and tea sitting on the table.
Hermione took a step forward. "I think it's time you boys learned that sometimes, the joke's on you." Harry reached up and shoved half of a Nosebleed Nougat in each of the twins mouths, while Hermione, Ginny, and Ron tied their hands behind their back so that they couldn't get to the other side of the pill to stop the minute bleeding.
"We'll come back in a few hours and untie you," Ron said, laughing with the others as they walked out of the shop.
