Take Me As I Am

Chapter Six

"How could you?" Draco yelled to his father. His father wanted to talk to him. But it seemed as if Draco were yelling instead of talking.

"I arranged everything. No need to thank me," his father said calmly.

"You arranged EVERYTHING?" Draco yelled. His father nodded.

"What's the matter? Don't like it?" his father said with a smile. Draco stood up and walked to the window. All he wanted is gone thanks to his father.

"You can't do that!" Draco yelled back.

"You and Pansy were meant to be together. I just gave you a little push," his father said, as if it were nothing. "I have no idea why you are complaining so much. You complain for everything. Are you ever happy about anything?"

"Yes I am!" Draco yelled. "I was completely happy until you told me I have to marry Pansy! I don't care about her and I never will! You are so stupid! Will you just get out of my life?"

"Me, stupid? Are you kidding, boy? Huh? You are the stupid one. This will be the perfect marriage and you want to give it all away?" his father asked. Draco nodded and sighed.

"Stay out of my life," Draco said as he left. Lucius shook his head. He took out his pocket watch and looked at the time. He stood up and left the room.

Harry was sitting in the library, waiting for Hermione and Ron. Ron was in Professor Wood's office, talking about reinstating Ron's position on the Quidditch team. Hermione was talking to Professor McGonagal about her Transfiguration essay. It was always like Hermione to worry about homework. He put his head on the table but his head jerked up when someone dropped something on the table. He looked up to see Draco Malfoy standing over him.

"What? Here to insult me?" Harry spat. Draco then remembered that he never really became Harry's friend, mainly because he was helping Ron get Hermione.

"No, I am here for your help," Draco said calmly.

"My help?" Harry stuttered. He was shocked. Out of all the people who would ask for his help, it had to be Draco Malfoy. Harry motioned to the seat across of him. Draco took the seat.

"You know about Ginny and I right?" Draco started.

"Yeah, and I don't like it," Harry said flatly. Draco smiled.

"Got to be Harry. I have a problem. My father," Draco said, and then he paused. "My father...He... sort of set up a marriage for me. With Pansy. But I love Ginny."

"Oh, that is a big problem. I don't know how I will help you," Harry said. He didn't even seem like he wanted to help Draco.

"You don't want to help me, do you?" Draco asked.

"I never will," Harry replied.

"What am I supposed to tell Ginny? I can't stand to hurt her after all I went through to have her. I help her with her essay and I had this whole romantic evening!" he yelled. Then he hushed down. "What would it be like if you had to lose Hermione over some weird twist of fate?"

Harry looked at him hard. "That won't happen," he said calmly.

"Are you sure?" Draco asked.

"What do you know?" Harry asked. He knew that Draco knew something and he was about to find out.

"If you haven't noticed, you are the Heir of Gryffindor, and myself the Heir of Slytherin," Draco started.

"Blah, blah, blah, get to the point," Harry urged.

"I know what will happen, I could..." he said then started whispering, "See the future." Harry leaned back. The future, he thought to himself.

"How did it happen?" Harry asked after a few moments of silence.

"How did what happen?" someone said behind him. He whisked around to see Hermione standing over him. "Hello, Draco," she said. He nodded to her as if saying hi.

"Oh, nothing, you know just..." Harry started.

"Helping him with potions," Draco finished. Harry turned to him.

"We could finish up later, maybe seven o'clock, here?" Harry asked. Draco nodded and stood up. He smiled to them and walked away.

"You, getting help from Malfoy? That's a first," Hermione chuckled. Harry weakly smiled back.

"You know you quit right?" Oliver asked Ron. They were in his office, discussing Ron's decision of returning to the Quidditch Team. Ron nodded.

"Are you sure that you wish to return to the team?" Oliver asked.

"What's wrong with me asking for that?" Ron asked. Oliver shook his head.

"I don't want your fight with Harry screw anything up between the team," Oliver started.

"Don't worry, Oliver, I fixed everything," Ron said to assure him. Oliver nodded.

"You must promise not to screw anything up," Oliver said.

"Don't worry, you have my word," Ron replied.

"Ok you got your position back," Oliver said. Ron smiled.

"Thank you," he replied. Oliver nodded and motioned to the door. As soon as Ron left, an owl flew in. Oliver grabbed the letter. He read it quickly and put it on his desk.

"Oh, I can't do this anymore," he told himself. He turned to the door and someone burst in.

"Hey Oliver!" the person said.

"Hey Cho," he said as he walked to her and kissed her cheek.

Harry was sitting in the library at exactly 6:59 p.m. He looked towards the door to see Draco walking in. In Draco's hand was a small book. Draco approached Harry slowly and took the seat opposite of him.

"Everything you do has an effect," Draco said not even saying hello.

"I know that," Harry groaned. Did he come all the way here just for this?

"By you not helping me, Hermione will leave you," Draco said. His tone was monotone.

"Yeah right," Harry snorted.

"Would you like to see?" Draco asked. His tone was the same but his expression changed.

"If it tells the truth," Harry said.

"The sight never lies," Draco replied. Harry nodded.

"What do I have to do?" Harry asked.

"Concentrate and you have to hold my hand," Draco said with utter disgust. Harry took his hand and closed his eyes. Then he felt as if his whole body was being jerked into a warp hole.

He opened his eyes to look around. Everything was black and white. He was definitely in Hogwarts. He turned to see Hermione walking towards him. He waved but she didn't see him. He figured he could see her but she cannot see him.

Then he saw himself. "Hermione, wait!" his alter ego yelled.

"Why should I?" she spat. Harry took a step back.

"What is happening?" he asked himself.

"I didn't mean to!" his alter ego said.

"You did!" she yelled to him.

"It was a honest mistake. I didn't mean to hurt you," Harry's alter ego said in a small voice.

"A mistake?" Hermione asked. "Well, if you want Ginny and not me, I know someone who does want me."

Harry watched the conversation bounce back and forth. He wanted to get out of this place. He closed his eyes and concentrated on getting back. When he opened it, he saw Draco just sitting there.

"What happened?" Harry asked.

"You didn't help me in that world. Because you didn't help me, I had to marry Pansy and break up with Ginny. She was heartbroken and you were the only one to soothe her pain. Hermione walked in on you guys and she broke up with you. Then she went to Ron," Draco said quickly.

"What can I do to prevent that?" Harry asked.

"You have to help me," Draco said as if it were the final answer.

[A/N: end of chapter six. I am so sorry that this took forever to get up. I had a lot to do and I couldn't find the time to finish this. I know that this chapter drops the biggest bombs ever, starting with Draco having to marry Pansy, with only Harry to help him, and Oliver is dating Cho. If you couldn't see that, well, sorry I ruined it for you. Plus, Draco is the heir of Slytherin and Harry is the Heir of Gryffindor. What will happen in the seventh chapter? More with the powers that Draco possesses and what they will do to stop the horrid marriage. Sorry there was no Ginny in this chapter. She will be in the next one.]
