By: Princess Amorina Weasley

Chapter 6: Brother against Brother

"Have you seen Harry?" Hermione asked as they sat down on the couch in the common room with Ginny.

"No, I presume he's off with Draco somewhere," she said, looking down.

"Yes, I suppose," Hermione replied, looking at the portrait hole as someone entered. "Oh look, there he is."

He walked over to them and smiled, "Oiy!! How are you two ladies on this lovely evening?"

"Ahh, you have been with Draco, eh?" Hermione asked, smiling at him.

"Me? With Draco? Never, I was just commenting on how clear the evening sky is. Especially from the Astronomy Tower," he said, grinning.

"Hehe," Ginny laughed. "The night is always lovely when you're in the Astronomy Tower."

"Oh? Do we speak from experience, little one?" Harry said, looking with great interest at the younger girl.

"Umm, a little," she said, smiling back at him.

"With whom may I ask have you spent time in the Astronomy Tower?" he asked, smiling knowingly. "It wouldn't be a certain boy who enjoys cameras would it?"

"You.. you know?" Ginny exclaimed with a look of complete surprise.

"Yes, of course I do. I've seen you sneaking around with him," he said, touching her nose slightly. "I never would have expected when you two came here but he's quite a catch for you, Miss Weasley," he said playfully.

"Yes, I do like him rather much."

"Of course," he said with a wink. Suddenly he turned his attention to Hermione and adopted a more serious composure, "So how did it go with Ron?"

"Horrible! He said he couldn't be around me. He's going to leave me, I've lost him forever," she said, starting to cry.

"Tsk. Tsk. Ummph!" Harry cried as someone slammed into him.

The whole common room looked over as Harry turned around and saw Ron standing behind him.

"Goodness, Ron! You'll knock a guy over like that," Harry said, smiling. "Ahh!" he screamed as Ron slammed down on him.

"Bloody hell, Ron!! Get off me," he yelled. The whole common room was awed as they saw the two best friends start to roll around on the floor in a fight. Finally, after a minute, Seamus and Dean rushed over and pulled Ron off of Harry.

"Harry, you okay?" Dean called.

"Yeah," he replied, still lying on the floor.

"Let me go!" Ron yelled at the two boys holding him.

"No! We'll not allow you to ruin our seeker, not to mention your best friend!" Seamus yelled.

"I'm not going to hit him again, I swear!" he yelled.

"Okay," Dean said, letting go and signaling for Seamus to do the same. They both stood not far off in case they had to separate the two again.

"Ron, what's your problem?" Harry said, standing up finally.

"What do you think my problem is?" he replied, glaring at his best friend.

"I'm sorry, it was an accident," Harry said, looking up.

"Sure, I'll bet. Always ran around saying your gay, when all the time you're just trying to mess with me and Hermione. You've loved her since first year too haven't you?" he accused.

"No, I've never loved Hermione. I liked boys before I even came to Hogwarts, I just tried to forget about it I thought maybe it was just a lack of worthy girls, but it wasn't. Cho was a cover up, I even almost submitted to Ginny's feelings for me to cover up what I truly felt. But I liked Draco the first day I met him, then I came here and realized I was supposed to hate him. I liked you a the beginning. I grew out of my liking for you quickly but I just grew accustomed to hating Draco. I finally admitted my love for him because you showed me it was okay to admit you love someone. Nobody expected you and Hermione to get together, nobody except me because I saw it. That's the main reason I got over you, I saw you loved her and she loved you. It was meant to be, written in the stars, however you want to say it. I don't want her, you just have to accept that people make mistakes. They can still love you and hopefully you can still love them too. That girl over there sitting on the couch, loves you with all your heart, don't let one little, meaningless mistake ruin that. Sure she might be having my son but that doesn't mean that you can't make it work," Harry said, the last statement starting whispers all over the common room.

"You really do love me with all your heart?" Ron said, smiling at Hermione.

"Yes, I do. Like I told you, I want nothing more than for us to be together. I think like Harry said we can make it work. Please let's go somewhere and talk about this. I want us to be together, I don't want to lose you. My greatest fear is losing you forever, Ron," Hermione said, hugging him and crying.

"That's my greatest fear too," he said, kissing her forehead. "Let's go." He led her out the portrait hole.

As they left Harry looked up and saw Colin trying to get Ginny's attention. "Hey, Ginny. I think you're prince in shining dark room is trying to get your attention," he said, nudging her.

She looked up and Colin nodded toward the portrait hole. He then got up and climbed out it. Ginny continued sitting there for awhile.

"Aren't you going to follow him?" Harry asked, confused.

"Of course, I am," she said, grinning. "But we wait ten minutes so that people don't realize that we're together. We've been doing this for awhile. Since not long after you made your proclamation last year. I'm afraid of Ron finding out and trying to attack Colin. You know he's become so protective over me the last couple of years. I guess he's scared I'm growing up to fast."

"Yeah, probably. So how did you two get together anyway?"

"Funny you should ask. We actually got together because of you," she said, laughing nervously.

"Huh?"

"Well it's no secret that I liked you and I thought you were beginning to like me right before you came out. I was devastated and started spending a lot of time in the library to avoid you. Colin was also devastated because his idol was gay, so he was spending a lot of time in the library too. We ended up being a solace to each other and well it led to other stuff," she said, smiling. "But my prince awaits my arrival." She got up and walked through the portrait hole.

Harry sat on the couch, dumbfounded. "Because of me?" he kept saying over and over again.
