Chapter 6: You're going to be a Hero!
"WHAT?!" Harry heard Daniel's voice yell, after a good half hour of silence.
"Ssshhh... you heard.... There's nothing we can do to stop it. Right now I'll go tell him, and don't complain" Serena replied.
Harry heard as the door flew wide open and looked up from the place he'd been sitting. Daniel and his Mom stepped out of their room. Same expression Serena had was now plastered on Daniel's face.
"Harry, dear... there's... there's something you... n-need to know," Serena said.
"Yeah, I know mum: you're acting bizarre. What's this all about?" Harry asked calmly.
"Well, you'll have to wait till you know. I need to take you somewhere. There you'll get all of your questions answered. So please get ready, we have to go right now".
"What?! In the middle of the night?!"
"I should've taken you yesterday, but I totally forgot. Now that I've been reminded..." she said, her voice fading away, like she was in some kind of very deep thought. She sighed. "Just get ready, dear," she continued before he could interrupt.
Harry seemed to be lost for a moment. He thought: What the hell is wrong?!, but all he could do was nod silently towards his mom and go to his room for his clothes.

Obviously, the medicine had been completely forgotten. Serena couldn't believe she had forgotten something way more important, though.
It seemed as if it had been in another lifetime. She was walking with Harry through a very dark alley on downtown London. There was an old man; called Albus Dumbledore. He led them to the most strange group of persons Serena ever saw. 'The Witchcraft & Wizardry Survivors Community'. Then, she discovered it all.
Harry was a wizard. A wizard! she thought. A fuckin' wizard that's got to save the fukin' magic world! she remembered, drowning in the middle of angst.
She was waiting for Harry and Daniel at the entrance hall. She couldn't help but start sobbing. There were so much things she wanted to say to him , to do with him... but then, there was a not so slight possibility that he'd die as a dark wizard's victim. Yes, there was. And that was Serena's worst fear. That there was nothing she could do to help him, to protect him...
She had given up a life where everything was easy to save his life. And now, he'd have to leave and save the world himself. It's a huge burden to such a young boy, she couldn't help but think.
She tried to calm herself down. Harry won't see me breaking down like this, she assured herself.
Just then, both Harry and Daniel climbed down the stairs. They all got into the car without talking.

Serena didn't know how she did it, but she remembered exactly how to get to the place she'd been 7 years ago. The strange thing was, when they got to the street where she new the entrance to the little bar was, she couldn't find it.
"Help me look for a wooden black door," she said.
After about 15 seconds, Harry said: "This one?" He was pointing to the right door. Serena had the strange feeling that only wizards could see that door and the rest of people couldn't unless it was pointed to them.
They entered and followed Serena to the back of the bar.
There was a huge brick wall and a very old man with a long, white beard and long, white hair wearing a white robe standing beside it.
Serena nodded at the man and he took out a little stick. Harry recognized it from his book 'Ancient Legends of The Past': it was a wand.
He wanted so badly to start asking questions, but he knew it was better to keep his mouth shut. Then, something that would have definitely freaked out anyone, happened straight in front of Harry's eyes.
The man started hitting the bricks with his wand, but while he was doing it, the bricks started moving to form a big hole. They followed the man inside.
Harry felt a very strong vibe in that street, same as the one in the bar. He hadn't had time to stop and look around, but he could clearly tell that he had been there before. Like a déjà vu, he thought.
Everything was destroyed around there. That powerful vibe was more out of something terrible that had happened.
The old man stopped at the end of the alley, just in front of a huge, old house. It looked destroyed too. The windows were covered with planks and the door seemed to be locked.
The old man turned to the door and took out the wand again. Pointing to the knob, he whispered: "Alohomora". The door opened immediately.
They entered the dark mansion. No single light was there to show them their path till the old man pronounced a word again: "Lumos". Ana ray of light emanated from the wand.
They followed him through the house. It was all dusty. The furniture was covered with sheets. It looked as if no one had been in there for years. The old man approached the stairs and climbed up.
Daniel looked as though he was in a tourist trip. Serena acted still on trance, but as though she'd been there before too.
Upstairs there was a corridor full of doors. Everything was dirty. The last door at the end of the corridor was ajar and there was light coming from inside.
Harry knew this was important. Something's going to happen, here and now, he thought. He had such a strong feeling, but he didn't know what it was. It was as if all of his life was reduced to a decisive moment, and that one was now.
The old man stopped abruptly in the middle of the corridor. Harry bumped into Daniel and he bumped into Serena, who had quietly stopped at the same time as the old man had. He had a very cold expression in his extremely old features. Harry got the impression that he had probably lived through a lot.
The old man turned to Harry for the first time and spoke in a low but firm voice: "We'll be waiting for you inside". And with that, he opened the door at the end of the corridor and disappeared behind it.
Harry immediately looked at his mom. "I've been holding the questions, but right now I really need an explanation. You've just brought me to this awfully familiar place that is all destroyed with an old man that has a wand, and the only thing you say to me is 'go inside'. I think I deserve a little explaining, don't you think?" Harry drawled.
Serena didn't seem to notice her son's tone of voice. She was still on a trance. "You'll get all the information you need in there".
Harry turned to Daniel with an exasperate face. He was starting to get a bit impatient. Daniel just looked at him and shrugged.
Okay, if no one wants to tell me anything, then I'll find out by myself, Harry thought, as he entered the room with determination.
***********
Five minutes. Ten minutes. Half an hour... Hour and a half.... Two hours...
Daniel couldn't help but look at his watch. They'd been waiting outside that room for two bloody hours and Harry hadn't come out yet.
Serena didn't seem to worry about that. She was still with her face focused on an undetermined point. Daniel needed to know what was wrong.
"Serena?" She looked up at him. "You've been awfully quiet. Is something wrong?" That was all she needed. At the moment Daniel said those words, Serena broke into a very prolonged chain of sobs. Daniel just comforted her while she told him everything she feared. How she feared for Harry, how she felt out of control without being able to protect him, how she felt that she would lose so many time to be with him, how she feared he was too young to manage everything...
And so she cried. She cried and cried till Daniel's shirt was entirely wet. But he was okay with it; he was her husband and he was supposed to support her whenever she needed support.
After several minutes, Serena fell asleep over Daniel's arms. He laid her on the floor and sat beside her, with her head on his lap. He started stroking her hair gently... and wondering why was Harry taking so long.
*********
A whole hour later, Harry came out of the room. He still had a determined look but was pale and livid. He looked tired, as if he had been fighting an internal battle.
Daniel shook Serena awake. She opened her eyes wide and saw her son coming out. "H-how... did it g-go?" she asked, tremendously afraid that Harry could blame her for being there.
"I can't believe you never told me," he said, almost hurt or disappointed.
"I wasn't supposed to!" Serena jumped out hastily. "I'm sorry Harry..." she said, looking down.
"Don't be sorry, mum. It's what I must do. I didn't believe it or understand it at first, and I confess I still don't just entirely, but I think I should do it. I must do it. I finally understand it's what I was always destined to be..." he trailed off.
"Oh, Harry..." Serena felt her heart melt as she stood up to hug her now teary son.
