Song: #1 Crush-Garbage
Draco Malfoy & Pansy Parkinson, 4th year
I would die for you. I would die for you.
I've been dying just to feel you by my side, to know that you're mine.
I will cry for you. I will cry for you
I will wash away your pain with all my tears and drown your fear.
Pansy watched Draco as she trailed him down through the dungeons towards the Slytherin common room. She had followed him like this ever since first year. It seemed so natural to her now, so much of an instinct. There was nothing that she wouldn't do for Draco, and he knew it, too. Although he had taken advantage of her before, Pansy didn't mind. As long as she got his attention, that was all that mattered.
No one would ever take her place at his side. Pansy would see to that.
The other female Slytherins in the common room watched Draco enter with unmasked admiration and desire. But they did only that: watch. Pansy already had some form of control over most of them, whether it was blackmail or vicious threats.
Pansy cast a malicious glare around the room to reinforce the power she held over them. It was a very complicated and cyclical thing, digging up information to use against the others while keeping her own secrets hidden from all of the prying eyes and ears. It was no wonder girls in Slytherin didn't keep journals. No male did either, for that matter.
Draco took his usual seat by the fire, looking tense with irritation and somewhat bored.
Hurrying to his side, Pansy spoke in a simpering voice,"Would you like a massage, Draco? You seem pretty tense."
"Get to it, then," Draco waved his hand swiftly, not really paying her much mind. He was as used to her constant attention as she was to giving it.
Pansy moved around behind him and slowly began to knead the tight muscles of his shoulders and neck. She was careful to start gently and then increase the pressure gradually. His muscles relaxed under her skilled hands, and she smirked triumphantly to her herself. He always melted under her ministrations. This was Pansy's greatest high, having some kind of power over him that made him dependent on her, no matter how infrequently.
Once his shoulders had relaxed, Pansy leaned forward over him. Making sure that her long blond hair brushed his neck and the side of his face, she whispered into his ear,"Would you like something from the kitchens? Some wine, maybe?"
One of Draco's elegant eyebrows arched as his silver eyes met her sultry gaze,"If you can manage to scrounge it up."
"It won't be the first time," Pansy smirked again, knowing that she had gained a few points in his favor. With that said, Pansy turned and strode from the room swiftly on her way to the kitchens.
Her plan was to make herself so indispensible to him that he wouldn't be able to get rid of her, even if he wanted to. And the fruitation of her plans would be coming soon. It wouldn't be long before he held only her company. Quickly he would realize that she was the only one worthy of his ambitions, and she was the only one who would give up everything just for him.
I will pray for you. I will pray for you.
I will sell my soul for something pure and true, someone like you.
See your face every place that I walk in, hear your voice every time that I'm talking.
You will believe in me, and I will never be ignored.
Stepping into the common room, Pansy noticed that one of the Slytherin fifth-years, Marony Lifton, was in the process of trying to seduce Draco. As if that were possible in the first place.
Anger flared in Pansy but was quickly replaced by icy calculation. The fourth-year strode over to Draco's chair. She tapped Marony's shoulder lightly.
When Marony looked up, the black-haired girl sneered,"Yes, Parkinson? Can't you see that the adults are busy? Go skulk in a corner with some dolls."
Pansy drew back her hand and slapped Marony across the face as hard as she could.
Marony fell back a step before she regained her balance. A livid red mark bloomed on her fair cheek in the shape of Pansy's hand.
The sound resounded through the common room, riveting the attention of every other person in the room. Draco's eyebrow arched again as he watched with amusement. It was always obvious that he enjoyed these shows of jealousy and hatred, and his ego never ceased to amaze Pansy.
"How dare you!" Marony seethed, her brown eyes flashing with rage.
Tossing her long hair nonchalantly, Pansy smiled slyly at Marony,"You'd better back off Lifton. We all know you're a mudblood anyways. Like Draco would ever even touch one of your kind! Please! And it's funny that you should mention dolls. I don't have any, but I noticed that you do. Aren't you a bit old for all those childish pastimes?"
Marony fumed, her fists clenched so tightly that a few drops of blood dripped onto her robes. She looked to Draco but noticed that no help was going to be forth-coming from his smug mouth."You're dead, Parkinson."
"Oh, I'm scared!" Pansy gasped in mock-horror before sneering at the girl,"Besides, you can't even cast a proper leg-locker hex. Get out of my sight. And if I see you near Draco again, you'll be the one under the curses."
Taking a long moment to glare murderously at Pansy, Marony then stalked up to the girls' dormitories.
The others in the common room turned back to their own business again when Pansy glared at all of them.
"Impressive, Pansy," Draco drawled, his silver eyes showing a hint of admiration,"You have quite the malicious streak. And you know how to put the mudbloods in their proper place. I can appreciate that."
"You expected less?" Pansy inclined her chin haughtily.
Draco's lips curved,"Indeed."
Pansy then handed Draco the glass of red wine.
He accepted it and took a delicate sip to taste it. The red color stained his lips, making it look in the dim light as if he'd just drunk blood.
Pansy shivered as she watched him. A thrill ran up her spine that she couldn't suppress. There was a feral light in his silver eyes that always made her skin tingle.
"Now, for a reward," Draco smirked up at her, snatching her wrist in an iron grip and pulling her closer. He then kissed her fiercely in a very demanding fashion.
But Pansy revelled in his kiss and the passions she could feel in him through the contact.
Pulling away from her, Draco whispered,"If you don't think that's fair reward, meet me in my dormitory in ten minutes. Wear something appropriate." And then he was gone, his robes swirling behind him as he headed to his room.
Nearly faint with excitement, Pansy rushed back to her own room. She took care to select a properly seductive dress and fix her hair. Then, allowing herself to revel in the achievment of her goals, Pansy waited. She didn't want to appear overly eager because that would give him power over her. When ten minutes had passed, Pansy made her way over to Draco's dormitory, ignoring the stares that the other Slytherins were giving her.
I will burn for you, feel pain for you.
I will twist the knife and bleed my aching heart, and tear it apart.
I will lie for you, beg and steal for you.
I will crawl on hands and knees until you see, you're just like me.
Pansy stood in the center of Draco's dormitory. He had kicked Crabbe and Goyle out to ensure their privacy. Now Draco stood before the fire in the hearth. The rest of the room was gloomy and dim, and his tall form was silhouetted dramatically against the dancing flames. Pansy waited for his signal.
Turning from the fire, Draco motioned to her,"My father seems to like you."
Pansy merely nodded silently as she came to stand close beside him. An image of Lucius Malfoy flashed before her mind's eye, and Pansy smiled slyly as she realized that this was incredibly good news. If the elder Malfoy approved of her, then Pansy would have more permanence in her relationship with Draco. It would be less a bond of whim and more of duty. He wouldn't be able to disregard his father so quickly.
"He says that you are quite intelligent and malicious. I'm inclined to agree. He also seems to think that you'll make a good Death Eater, better than my mother in any case." Draco continued, looking from the flames to her face finally.
"I see," Pansy replied, noncommitally.
Draco smirked at her,"What should we do about this, hm?"
Pansy moved closer to him, running her hands through his silken hair,"It doesn't matter now, does it? I don't like to think that far ahead."
Staring down into her eyes, Draco studied her intently. His piercing silver gaze seemed to take her apart completely and then put her together again. And a moment later, when he had finished, his lips curved in admiration of her cunning,"Quite impressive, Pansy."
And then he was kissing her again. Pansy smiled inwardly as he drew her closer still. He was just now realizing how much a part of his everyday existance he had let her become. She had burrowed her way into his life, gradually and painstakingly. Now he knew that there was no way to get rid of her.
Violate all the love that I'm missing.
Throw away all the pain that i'm living.
You will believe in me, and I can never be ignored.
Draco pulled away a moment later and smirked down at her in a very superior fashion,"You do realize that what you've been doing hasn't gone unnoticed by me? If I hadn't wanted to trap you by letting you think were in control, then I wouldn't have put up with any of your antics."
Blue eyes widening slightly in surprise, Pansy stared up at him, fighting to keep her face emotionless,"So we both thought ourselves to be the winner in this game. But it doesn't really matter, does it, Draco? No matter how we might try to deny it, we both need each other. You need me for all the little tasks and services, the prestige of my family name, the image of a pureblood girlfriend, and for the favor it brings you from Lucius. I need you for more power over the others, the prestige of your name, the image of wealthy pureblood boyfriend, and as a distraction from this otherwise boring school."
"I suppose so, Pansy," Draco drawled lightly, but his eyes shone with cunning and admiration,"You're the closest to my equal in this entire school. And I'm also in dire need of a distraction."
Pansy smiled,"Together we can make life hell for Potter and his little Gryffindor gang."
Draco returned the feral smile,"You are of my same mind, Pansy."
"If that's agreed, kiss me again," Pansy tugged on his hair, pulling him down again.
I will die for you. I would kill for you.
I will steal for you. I'd do time for you.
I will wait for you. I'll make room for you. I'd sink ships for you.
A half-hour later, Pansy emerged from Draco's room. She lifted her nose imperiously as she glided across the common room towards her dormitory.
The other Slytherin girls stared after her. Once she had passed through, they all whispered together behind their hands.
Pansy smiled proudly to herself as she changed into her school robes again. Dinner would be starting soon, and she had to make an entrance with Draco.
Standing before her mirror, Pansy smoothed her dress as her mind wandered deep into thought. She and Draco had come to a spoken agreement, an alliance of sorts. They would combine their power, intellect, and cunning in order to wreak real havoc on this school such as Hogwarts had never seen before. Potter and his little gang didn't stand a chance against them now. Together, she and Draco would have Slytherin house at their beck and call, and the rest of the school could soon well follow. At the least, the other houses would cower before them and award them the fearful respect they deserved.
A knock sounded on the door.
To be close to you.
To be part of you.
'Cause I believe in you.
I believe in you.
I would die for you.
Opening the door slowly, Pansy found Draco waiting for her in the hallway. He looked gorgeous and dramatic, as usual.
"Ready?" Draco querried swiftly.
Pansy took a moment to study him before her thoughts subsided.
He didn't love her. Pansy wasn't stupid enough to try and fool herself in that respect. She knew that he considered her a tool to use on his way to achieving his ambitions, albeit a nice-looking tool. But if Pansy could make him realize how very much he needed her abilities, and how much she could and would do for him, then maybe he would grow to trust her implicitly. And from that, who knew what could happen? But it all started from this moment. All her goals were within her grasp, as long as she proceeded carefully.
Shaking herself mentally, Pansy offered a sultry smile to Draco before taking his arm.
Hogwarts beware.
