- Thank you people who read this fanfic. It gives me great pleasure to know that you have a mutual interest in Spongebob. I do too! And thanks so much to my Beta, Dara Reide. Hope you all enjoy!
It was Harry's 6th year at Hogwarts. Even though he had many past and exciting adventures, he was quite bored. Homework had droned him out of his thinking, and he never really got around to doing it. Harry drummed his fingers on the desktop.
"What to do, what to do," he mumbled to himself. At that moment, Ron walked in.
"Hey Harry!" he said enthusiastically.
"Mph," Harry replied.
"What's eating you?" Ron asked.
"I'm so BORED! I've got nothing to do, nothing at all!" Harry complained.
"Well, you could always do your homework," Ron suggested.
"No way, I hate homework! It's such rubbish!" Harry shot back.
"I know what we can do!" Ron exclaimed. He ran to his bed, and unlocked his chest. He carefully searched through his piles of junk, as if he was looking for gold.
"FOUND IT!" Ron jumped up.
"What is it?" Harry asked.
"Well, Dad, you know, he's into muggle things. He watches the 'Television' from time to time," Ron told him.
"So?" Harry replied.
"And, there's this great show, Harry. I watched it a couple of times myself. It's called 'Spongebob Squarepants,' and it's bloody brilliant!" Ron handed him the video-tape.
"But, Ron, I don't have a 'television' to watch this, this thing on!" Harry stared at the tape.
"That's alright Harry; my dad said he'd send us one! And the first thing I'm going to do is watch that tape!" Ron said excitedly.

The weeks went by slowly for Harry and Ron. Still, homework bored them out of their minds, until one day...
"HARRY!" Ron ran into the dormitory. "HARRY, COME QUICK! IT'S HERE!" Ron shouted up the stairs in the Gryffindor Common Room, leading to the boy's dormitories. Harry jumped down the stairs.
"Lemme see it!" Harry exclaimed. The two anxious boys opened their treasure.
"Ooooooh, Aaaaaaaah," the two stared in amazement.
"Let's go upstairs, before it becomes a mob scene," Ron suggested. Then Harry and Ron, eager to watch Spongebob, rushed themselves up to their dorm, and plopped down on Ron's bed.
"Now, I think you've got to set it up like this," Ron told Harry. After about 2 1/2 hours of immense work on the television, they finally got it running. Harry put the video into the VCR. Their journey to amazement was about to begin. Music started ringing in their ears.
"Ooooooh, who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS! Absorbent and yellow and--" the sounds soothed their ears. Had they ever heard of such a thing before, they'd have watched TV their entire lives, and not come to this dreary castle every year. The show had them hooked. Spongebob had taken them into another dimension, and it was hard to leave. Harry stayed up late and watched the many episodes Ron had on tape. Everyone else, knowing they had a test in potions the next day, went to bed.
The next morning, Harry, never feeling more tired, was about to not go to class.
"Harry! You weren't up ALL night watching it? Were you?" Ron asked.
"Mmm hmm," Harry nodded.
"You fool! Now you'll get a disease that you get from watching too much TV, in a short period of time!" Ron exclaimed.
"What might that be?" Harry said, nearly falling onto his pillow.
"T.V. SYNDROME! And it's a terrible, terrible thing. Dad's seen it happen before, Harry. You've got to stop watching it! I'm telling you! Come on now, we'll be late for breakfast," Ron pulled Harry out of bed.
They reached the Great Hall, and sat down to eat. Harry had bacon, eggs, and toast on his plate, along with a tall glass of orange juice.
"Harry, would you believe Snape isn't feeling well today, but is still administering the test?" Hermione asked Harry.
"Mmm hmm," Harry replied.
"Are you feeling alright? You look like you slept in a cupboard again or something," Hermione told him.
"Maybe he's trying to get out of taking Snape's test, you know? He hasn't been doing his homework in the past few weeks," Neville said.
"IS THIS TRUE HARRY? Not doing homework? If I wasn't nice, I'd tell a professor what you're up to," Hermione threatened.
"Someone should take him to the Hospital Wing. He really doesn't look all that well," said Seamus. Then, Harry, who had now been served cereal, was feeling extraordinarily dizzy.
"Harry? Harry can you hear me?" Ron asked.
Then, Harry's face fell into his cereal bowl, and the whole school was talking. He woke up, in none other than the Hospital Wing.
"UGH!" Harry groaned.
"Oh Harry! There you are! A bad case of the muggle disease I suppose. Those muggles, always causing trouble!" said Madame Pomferey as she shoved medicine down his throat.
"Not to worry, a case of the TV SYNDROME can always be cured by good old bed rest, and NO TV!" she informed Harry.
Harry rested there for a week, and finally came out, still feeling the need for Television. He ran to his dorm, and put Spongebob back on.
"Ah, good to see you again, mate!" Harry said to the TV. He watched for several hours, and once again got droned out. Harry started feeling drowsy, like he did at breakfast a week ago. Then, a voice entered his head.
"HA, HA, HA! Come jelly fishing with me Harry! I've got a spare net! WEEEEE!" said the high pitched squeaky voice of Spongebob.
"Alright, I'm coming!" Harry replied slowly, like he was dreaming.
He followed him into the TV set, and through the town of Bikini Bottom.
"Ha, Ha, Ha! Hey look! It's Sandy!" said Sponge bob. Harry turned his head, and looked for her.
"Howdy y'all, I'm right here!" she said in her Western accent.
"HI SANDY!" the two yelled. Harry felt like everything was being slowed down. Everything was moving fast, but he was moving and speaking slow, as if he were on the moon.
"SPONGE BOB, ICE CREAM!" yelled a familiar voice.
"PATRICK! LETS GO JELLYFISHING!" yelled Sponge bob.
"Okay!" he replied.
"Come on Harry!" yelled Sponge bob slowly.
"Right behind you," Harry yelled back. They ventured around the Krusty Krab, and saw Squidward, and Mr. Krabs waving at them from afar. Harry slowly waved back. They drove through Bikini Bottom on a 3 person bicycle with the flower clouds hanging above their heads. The cheerful sound of Sponge bob, Patrick, and Sandy laughing filled his own head. Then Patrick lost his ice cream cone.
"Umm, anybody got a quarter?" asked Patrick.
"There's always money in the First National Bank of Sponge bob! Follow me!" said the yellow sponge.
"I wish I were back in Texas! The ocean's no place for a squirrel!" Sandy sang out loud.
They passed all of town over, and over again. Harry loved every moment of it. They even saw Plankton, although he was nearly impossible to see.
"F is for friends who do stuff together U's for you and me!" Plankton danced all around.
"Ha, ha, ha," Harry laughed to himself. Everything started repeating itself though. They just kept on circling around Bikini Bottom, and running into neighbors, each time, saying different things. Then, Harry, felt as though he was being pulled off of the bicycle, and being dragged up ashore. The voices of the town still stayed in his head. At the moment he reached shore, Harry jumped up from his bed.
"Where am I?" Harry asked himself. He rolled over, and saw that the television was still running.
"F is for friends who do stuff together, U is for you and ME!" Sponge bob and Plankton sang together.
"What on Earth?" Harry thought.
"N is for anywhere at anytime at all down here in the deep blue sea!" the song continued.
"But, I was in, and they were all, and" Harry was very confused. He scratched his head.
"Those lines are so familiar though," Harry said.
"F is for frolic, through all the flowers" the two sang.
"I-I must have been dreaming or something! Those songs! The television must have been on while I dozed off!" Harry realized.
"Hi Harry!" Ron ran in.
"Oh hey," Harry quickly clicked off the TV.
"What've you been up to?" he asked.
"Oh nothing much," Harry said.
"Pay a visit to Spongebob?" Ron joked.
"Um, yea, but our adventure only lasted a little while."
