Mirror Mirror
"So... Ready to try our new creation?" George put his fingers together in an evil fashion and laughed with a high pitch until his voice cracked. Choking briefly he smiled it off.
Fred cocked an eyebrow. "Ummm I suggest you lay off the forth helping of mum chunk o' choc o' sugar cookies."
"Four? No, I only had three and a half but that only makes you hyper for an hour or so." He started to dig threw the dresser drawers. "Ahh here it is out window magic mirror." In his right hand laid a small triangle shaped mirror. It seems simple looking enough but inside the mirror was a secret. They found the charm, if you could believe it, at the Hogwarts library. They were supposed to be looking up the properties of camel spit. Like that was going to happen. They could easily copy the information from Lee at breakfast.
Grabbing the mirror from his brother, Fred looked at it carefully. "Are you sure you did the charm right?" Turning it over to check out every angle he cleared a space on the floor and placed the mirror down upon it. The twins sat on either side.
"All we have to do is place two fingers on the surface and call out a location. Simple, no?" George was ready, fingers in place and could think of several locations. It could be read all over his face.
"We should start simple. Just to see if it works, then we can really give it a go." But where to start? "The burrow, Ronniekins room."
The mirror started to fog over. The mist began pearly white and proceeded to become darker until it was nearly pitch black. Then it simply faded away. Ron could be seen sitting at his desk working on something.
He tapped his pencil over and over again on the paper. "Dear Hermione. No, Hey Hermione. No, that's not right either." Ron seemed in deep thought when the answer came to him as his eyes lit up. "Wuzzzuuppp Mione!"
The picture vanished as George took his fingers off. He was to busy holding his stomach from the laughter. Fred too found the situation too much and wiped a tear from his eye.
"Oh Hermione" George's voice was high pitched again.
Fred rubbed two fingers together and sucked his lips to make kissing noises.
"Ok let's try another." The boys placed there fingers upon the mirror again. George looked deeply at it. "Katie Bell's bedroom."
Fred rolled his eyes. "Get over yourself."
The mist turned again and a bedroom could be seen. This time though it was a bust. Katie was no where to be found.
But George found the information he needed. A small picture of the two of them in there quidditch uniforms. Fred started the kissing noises again. Blowing it off, George shook his head.
"Alright let's try one more and we need to make it a good one." Fred looked around the room for inspiration. The answer was as clear as day. "Hogwarts, Professor Snape's office."
The boys studied the mist. Even though they were out of school it was hard to forget the meanest teacher there.
It looked to be another bust as Severus sat at his desk rummaging threw the drawers. He seemed to be eager in finding what he misplaced.
Tilting his head, Fred wondered if they should look else where. "This is boring."
"Let's just see what's so important." George was getting bored as well but something had to come out of all of this.
And boy did it. Snape found a small tube. It was hard to tell exactly what it was at first. A chalk container, something to do with herbs? No, it was ruby red lipstick. Standing up he extended the lip stick and placed it on his lips. The boys looked shocked at each other and then back down to the mirror. After thoroughly coating his lips the tube went into his pocket.
Severus Snape cleared his throat and started to sing. "I feel pretty oh so pretty..."
Fred and George had seen enough. The image made them nearly pee there pants.
The words barely escaped his mouth. "That was well, unique." George was now on his back.
"Unique? That was the strangest site on the planet! Honestly, I'll have nightmares for months." Fred wobbled onto his feet.
"Next time I say we sell tickets." George joined his brother on his feet.
"And then sessions of therapy." Fred ran some fingers threw his hair. "What do you say we grab some cookies?"
"Then afterwards go help Ron with his letter." George winked and made his way quickly to the door.
Trying to cut his brother off Fred nearly tripped. "Oh no after me or there will be nothing left!"
"That's the whole idea!" He called as George raced down the hallway. Fred hot on his heels.
The End?
