Ginny was dancing along to the music blaring from the WWN. She liked the new muggle songs that they had begun to play. She had done some soul searching the past couple of weeks, no doubt brought about by the events as of late. This one in particular reminded her of her relationship with Harry. It was sung by a girl named Kelly Clarkson. Sighing, she sat down on the bed. She really should finish packing as they were leaving for Hogwarts in the morning. But, she needed to reevaluate her feelings towards Harry before she saw him again. She defiantly didn't want to make a fool of herself in front of him anymore. On one hand she loathed to give up on him, but on the other hand he hadn't been the best boyfriend she had ever had either. He had seemed to be going through the motions without really feeling anything towards her. Gods, she was confused. She had held on to her crush on him since age eleven, it had finally paid off...but at what cost?

Ginny was finding that she felt free and happy for the first time in years. Before it had always been about making Harry notice her. She had done everything but jump through hoops to get his attention. She blushed as the memory of the singing valentine came to her mind. She stood up and resumed packing; hoping to make that particular memory disappear. She danced her way across her bedroom, singing along to the words of the song, "You dedicated you took the time, wasn't long till I called you mine."

She smiled as she realized that the old Ginny never would have acted this way. The old Ginny had tried excelling at lessons, humor and pranks to get Harry to notice her. She realized now that all of those things were part of who she was, but not all that she was. She continued to sing, "And all you'd ever hear me say is how I pictured me with you. That's all you'd ever hear me say."

Maybe she had influenced him more than she knew. Maybe he dated her because it was what everyone expected him to do.

She sighed and tried to lift her mood back up by singing," How come I never hear you say I just wanna be with you? I guess you never felt that way."

Ginny continued to sing as she finished up her packing, "You had your chance you blew it. Out of sight, out of mind."
When she got to the part about moving on she belted it out at the top of her lungs, "Since you've been gone, I can breathe for the first time. I'm so movin' on. Yeah, yeah, thanks to you."

As the last notes of the song died, Ginny realized that she had moved on. Harry was now nothing more than a brother to her. Not sure where that realization had gotten her, but proud of herself all the same she sat back on the bed looking at her now bare room. It seemed she was in for many changes. She would meet them head on.
