--------------Forbidden, chapter four, "What on Earth are you doing?"------------------------

Neville was utterly shocked from the sight before him.

Malfoy was standing with one leg on Snape's desk wearing a ritzy outfit consisting of black and red pantyhose, knickers, a stuffed bra in Slytherin's colours, and a pair of ankle-breaking ten inch high heels. He was humping in the air, obviously trying to be sexy, and had an enormous hard on.

Snape seemed to be quite bothered by his show.

"Whu... What is going on here?" Neville said. Malfoy turned around and saw him and panicked.

"Longbottom?” Malfoy said in a high-pitched voice and jumped behind Snape's desk, making Snape stumble backwards against the wall.

"Get out of here, Malfoy. And for God's sake, put some normal clothes on!" Snape shouted and Malfoy got up and left the office with the reddest face Neville had ever seen.

After he'd closed the door behind him Neville turned to Snape.

"What was he doing, Professor?"

Snape sighed.

"He always tries to get me to screw him when his grades are dropping which they are doing quite often," Snape said.

"To get better grades you mean?" Neville said and Snape nodded. "Have you ever..."

"No. I told you I don't like him," Snape cut him off.

Snape walked over to Neville and grabbed his chin and kissed him. Neville felt overwhelmed by the sudden act and almost lost his balance. Snape broke the kiss.

"Why are you here?"

"I accidentally made some students clothes go see-through in Transfiguration," Neville said.

"Oh dear me. Was Potter one of them?" Snape asked.

"Erh...yes I think so," Neville said.

A smile widened in Snape's face. "Well for that I think you must be punished," he said.

Neville looked at him and feared he might not get some.

"But..."

"Get your kit off," Snape said and began removing his clothes. Neville got out of his clothes faster than he'd ever gotten out of them before, but he had just his socks left when Snape pushed him up against the wall and kissed him violently.

Then he turned him around.

"Oww! Not so rough," Neville said.

"I said you were going to be punished, didn't I?" Snape replied and kept going. It didn't take long before he finished and left Neville hard and unsatisfied.

Snape went to the shower in the other room and turned it on. Neville felt strange in a bad way. What the hell was this? This isn't the way it's supposed to be, Neville thought.

Snape came out of the shower and looked at Neville in surprise. "Are you still here?"

Neville collected his clothes and left Snape's office feeling used. He wasn't far from crying.

Neville went though the next few days feeling, not sad as he'd assumed he would, but angry.

At Snape.

He'd even made a small joke at Snape's expense in Potions class, which even the Slytherins laughed at. Everyone who laughed at the joke got five points drawn from their house, but Snape didn't even suggest Neville was in trouble and left him alone all through class.

Later at dinner, Neville's joke was the topic of many conversations not only at the Gryffindor and Slytherin table, but also at Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw's table. (Why didn't Snape do anything to Longbottom? Maybe Longbottom is blackmailing Snape or something? I heard they got in a fight and Neville won and now Snape is afraid of pissing him off! What if they are shagging?)

Neville heard all of the little comments buzzing around him and some of them were quite amusing, but he felt nervous when more and more people wondered if they were lovers.

Neville wandered around the grounds the following Saturday and thought about what had happened. The more he thought about it the more useless he felt. He'd been such a fool to act on his crush! He should have known better than to engage in such activities with Snape of all people.

"I need to talk to someone," he thought and felt even sadder. He didn't have any real friends to talk to.

"Neville? Are you feeling ok?" Hermione asked him.

Neville had been sitting in the window in the common room for two hours without moving and Hermione had felt more and more uneasy with him just sitting there.

"Huh? Oh...Yeah, I'm fine, I guess," he answered and looked out the window again.

"Are you sure? You can talk to me if something's bothering you, I won't tell anyone," Hermione said.

Neville looked at her and was about to tell her that he really was fine, but at the last second his mask broke and he started crying.

"What's wrong?" Hermione asked him and held his hand and tried to comfort him.

"I thought I could handle it...but I was wrong!" Neville sniffled.

"Come and sit in the sofa and tell me all about it," Hermione said.

They sat down in the sofa and Neville began telling her about what had happened, but he thought it best to leave Snape's name out of it all.

"This guy...and me. We just started a relationship and it was all good at first..." Neville said

"Guy? You're gay?" Hermione said surprised.

Oh fuck! Neville thought. I wasn't supposed to tell anyone that yet. "Well, yeah. You're the first one to know. Other than this guy of course," Neville said and wiped his eyes and actually felt good to be honest with someone for once. It felt really good.

"I never would have guessed. I mean, you're shy and all, but I didn't think this was why," Hermione said.

"It isn't. I don't know why I'm shy, but I know it isn't because of me being gay," Neville said.

"Ok. But what happened with this guy?"

"Well, we were doing it," Hermione blushed, "..and then when he finished he just stepped into the shower and left me there. Then he just said ' Are you still here?' when he'd finished showering as if I was some idiot wanting something from him that he had no reason to give me. So I left and have felt like shit since," Neville said and almost broke into tears again.

Hermione thought about it for a second.

"Well. It's plain to see that he's a stupid sod who doesn’t know what he's got!"

"Huh?”

"You are a great guy, Neville. And anyone you end up with is a lucky guy. So forget that idiot and move on," Hermione said and Neville felt a little better.

"There are more guys in Hogwarts, you know."

     **********************************************

"Detention Longbottom!" Snape shouted.

"What? I haven't done anything."

"Exactly. Report to my office after the last class of the day," Snape said and went on talking about antidotes.

The day seemed the longest one since school had started. After Potions the Gryffindors had Care of Magical Creatures followed by Charms. After lunch they continued with Transfiguration and ended the day with a double pass of Divination. Neville had started to think he was getting high from the incense and heat up in Trelawney's classroom. Either that or he was getting good at predictions, because all of the weird things he saw moving around in his mind when Trelawney made them try to fall into a trance was equal to what he thought an acid trip would be like.

When he knocked on Snape's door he'd told himself that he had to end their relationship no matter what.

Snape opened the door and let him in and sat on the desk in the same way he'd done a couple of days ago.

Neville remained standing.

"Before you tell me what I'll have to do for detention, I have to tell you that I want our relationship to end," Neville said and felt very strong.

"Really? And to think I was going to give you better grades," Snape said.

"That would have been a mistake. Haven't you heard what the school is gossiping about? They think we're doing it since that joke I made last Friday. Giving me better grades would confirm their suspicions, you twat!" Neville said and felt angry that Snape had tried to ensnare him again.

"I've heard those rumors before and trust me, they never live long."

"I don't care what you've heard."

"I'm sorry. For last that is, I was a twat and I hope you forgive me," Snape said suddenly.

Neville wasn't prepared for an apology. He always thought Snape was above such a thing and if he really said he was sorry…maybe he meant it? God knows I still want him, Neville thought and that made him fall.

Snape kissed him and all resistance Neville had felt was swept away in a second.
