The Mysterious Gathering, or Dumbledore's Karaoke Night

Chapter Three-THE END OF THE END BEGINNING

Pansy took her place onstage. "Okay, this is my anthem. And I know you'll all like it. It's about my only love."

"I know what this is about," Ron said darkly.

"They can beg they can plead

But they can't see the light that's right

'Cos the one with cold hard cash

Is always Mr. Right!"

"Which boy do you think Malfoy is?" asked Harry.

"No wonder she's with Malfoy," Hermione said, shaking her head.

"And you know what's really twisted?" Ron asked. "Somewhere out there someone probably thinks you're destined to marry Malfoy, Hermione."

Hermione snorted. "That's ridiculous!"

"'Cos we are living in a material world

And I am a material girl

You know that we are living in a material world

And I am a material girl!"

"It's a match made in heaven," Harry said. "The gold digger and the rich boy."

"Too right you are," Ron agreed.

"Boys may come and boys may go

And that's all right you see

Experience has made me rich

And now they're after me!"

Malfoy walked up to Pansy. "Is that all you love me for? Money?"

Pansy shrugged. "Pretty much."

"Oh, okay!" Malfoy laughed. "We couldn't get married if we loved each other!"

Malfoy and Pansy walked off arm in arm. Dumbledore pulled the next slip from the goblet.

"Up next is Hermione Granger!"

Chapter Four- I'll Just Call It Chapter Four

Hermione took the microphone.

"Boo! Mudbloods can't sing! Boo!" Malfoy jeered.

Hermione tried to ignore him and began to sing.

"Half-breed, that's all I ever heard
Half-breed, how I learned to hate the word
Half-breed, she's no good they warned
Both sides were against me since the day I was born!"

Everyone in the room was glaring at Malfoy, who was cowering in a corner.

"You little worm, Malfoy!" Ron yelled.

"Listen, guys, I meant it as a term of respect," Malfoy attempted to smooth talk his way out of it, but it wouldn't work. Everyone knew how much he hated Hermione and called her a mudblood.

The group closed in on Malfoy, calling him names.

"Little Miss Priss!" Ginny raged.

"Marshmallow!" taunted Neville.

"Fish stick!" Seamus said.

Everyone turned and looked at Seamus, who shrugged.

"It's a food, I figured it would work," he said sheepishly.

"We weren't accepted and I felt ashamed
Nineteen I left them, tell me who's to blame
My life since then has been from man to man
But I can't run away from what I am!"

Hermione continued singing as the crowd beat Malfoy up. The song ended and Hermione bowed with a huge grin on her face.

"Nice job, Hermione. Wouldn't you agree, Malfoy?" Ron grinned.

"Capital," Malfoy moaned from the corner of the room.

Pansy, who had been pushed a side by the crowd rushed over to Malfoy, but was stopped by Ron, who knocked her out.

"That's kind of overdoing it, Ron," Harry said, inspecting the huge mark Ron left on Pansy's fore head.

Ron shrugged. "Let him suffer."

"Hagrid will be our next contestant!" proclaimed Dumbledore.

Author: Hello! As most of you Harryheads know, the sixth installment in the series, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince in scheduled for release July 16^th of this year. The fourth movie was well is being released this year on November 18^th! I know some of you are excited as I am for the next movie, and I hope to see Danny without his shirt!
