Chapter Two ~ Life's not fair

He was, however, surprised to see Remus Lupin materialize out of no where in front of him.

Harry was surprised to see Remus jeopardizing his cover to watch over him. Harry realized that Remus had come out of Moody's invisibility cloak. Remus looked tired, pale, and older than he did a week ago at the train station.

"Harry, are you all right?" Remus asked, as he knelt in front of Harry to get a better look at him. Harry just looked at him, his tears still flowing freely from his eyes. Remus pulled Harry into a tight hug, feeling the boy shudder violently as he sobbed into the older man's shoulder.

Remus felt his own tears begin to fall along with Harry's tears. "It's not fair!" Harry whispered into Remus' shoulder, while his breath came up in short gasps.

Remus rubbed Harry's back comfortably while holding him and said, "I know its not fair but we'll get through this together. It'll be hard, but we need to stick together, all right?"

Harry was still sobbing and clutching Remus around his kneck as if he was holding on to dear life. "I feel so guilty Remus. If I had listened to Hermione and practiced my Occulumency like I was supposed to, I wouldn't have gone to the Ministry that night and Sirius would still be alive!" Harry chocked out in the middle of a sob.

Remus pulled back instantly and held Harry's shoulders so that he could see Harry's face while the boy sobbed. Harry kept his head down so that he wouldn't meet Remus's eyes. "Harry, look at me," Remus softly commanded.

Harry reluctantly looked up, his eyes still shining with tears. "What had happened during that night at the Ministry was not,"Remus emphasized on the 'not', "your fault. Better and smarter wizards than you have also fell into traps that were setup by Voldemort. So don't EVER think that Sirius's death was your fault because it wasn't. So Harry STOP blaming yourself! Do you hear me?!" Remus said,desperately trying to make Harry believe him.

Harry tried to believe him, but he couldn't because of all the guilt he felt. He continued to sob, but the noises of his sobs were muffled because Remus had pulled him into another hug. "Please, Harry, Please believe me." Remus begged softly into Harry's ear.

Harry looked up at him tears still shining in his eyes, making his green irises look as beautiful as his mother's eyes. "I'm trying Remus, really I am. But it's just so hard."

Remus felt his heart break as he held Harry. "You are not alone in this Harry. We all feel the same way about Sirius. We are always around if you need to talk. I'm always here if you need to talk. But you need to move on. Always remember the good times you had with him. I know for sure he wouldn't want you to be depressed because of him. You know that, don't you?"

Harry looked up at Remus and nodded his head. But before Harry was able to say anything, a ball of fire appeared and out of the flames rose Fawkes, Dumbledore's phoenix with a letter.
