In the Eye of the Dragon

With Lucius in Azkaban, the Malfoy name is disgraced, and Draco finds himself alone. Desperate for intelligent conversation, and realizing that no one really cares about what he does, he turns to the only person he can think of: Hermione.

After choosing his classes, Draco falls into the normal routine. One day, however, being late to class forces him to borrow Hermione's notes, and wonder why she's so completely indifferent to him.

Chapter Three: Hermione's unusual behaviour confuses Malfoy, and, impressed, proposes an idea that could change their last two years at Hogwarts. Plus, we learn why Draco's been reading a lot of Muggle books.

Chapter Four: After a month of studying, Draco is happier than he has been in a long time. But when Hermione has a breakdown after rumors float about the school, Draco sees a side of her he didn't expect.

Chapter 5: After Hermione's breakdown, Draco decides to do something to cheer her up. Plus, we find out just why Draco's opinion of Hermione has changed.
