Author's Note:
Don't expect something really long describing the personal relationships between Draco and Ginny and everyone around them. This is just a little conversation between them before Christmas, and a little of what Ginny sees in him. I might write a sequel though which probably would go into deeper detail of the relationship.

Bloody Angelic People

"It's true," Draco said sarcastically, leaning his knees against the top rung of the ladder he was standing on. "But this outfit does make me look a little clumsy, don't you think?"

Ginny, who was sitting on the couch watching him hang the Christmas wreaths on the wall of the unused classroom they often hung out in, examined his outfit. He was wearing a small tank top that outlined his muscular abs and really showed his biceps. To top it all off, he was wearing really baggy Muggle jeans she had been able to persuade him to wear.

"No, it looks good on you," she observed as he nailed another wreath to a wall.

When he finished with that wreath, he turned around halfway to look at her and gave her an incredulous look. "You always say that," he said. He moved to turn back, but one of the wreaths took hold of his shirt and exposed some of his chest.

Ginny giggled as he carefully untangled himself. "Well, it's true," she said, between giggles.

Draco threw her another incredulous look. He began to mumble to himself. To Ginny, it sounded like he was ranting about wearing Muggle clothes. Then, words about Harry Potter began to filter out. She heard things like, "bloody angelic people, they think they are," or, "that dumb overprotective Weasel." After a while, he turned to look at Ginny and she raised an eyebrow at him.

"About finished?" she asked him, trying to hide the smirk she felt tugging at her lips.

"Sorry, but I can't just quit hating them all in one night," Draco told her. He got down from the ladder to go and grab another wreath. He was about to move the ladder down the wall when Ginny, on sudden impulse, jumped up from the couch and threw her arms around her neck, enveloping him in a big hug.

"I know," she said to him, her voice muffled since her face was buried in his neck. "But I'm still making you try, since, you know, Hermione will convince Ron to try and all."

She felt, rather than heard, Draco growl in answer. She gripped him even tighter, removing all the space between them. Draco put his arms around her waist and nuzzled his own head into her. They stayed in that tight embrace for good two or three minutes before Ginny began to feel a little suffocated and she reluctantly pulled away.

"Better get back to the wreaths," she said. Then, in a matter-of-fact voice, she added while nodding her head a little, "It's getting close to Christmas."

Draco smirked and pulled away too. He moved the ladder and grabbed another wreath while Ginny went and sat back down on the couch to do the rest of her homework. As soon as Draco had gone up the ladder again, however, she looked up at him again. She watched his muscles flex as he put another wreath up. In enrapt attention, she watched as fresh sweat began to spring up over his body again, making the exposed parts of his body glittery in the light from the windows and the fire in the fireplace.

He got back down the ladder, and as he turned to look at her, she whipped back to doing her homework to make it seem like she hadn't been studying him closely. When he didn't say anything and he moved the ladder again, a small smile crept on her face and she kept her face hidden. It was going to be an interesting Christmas when he would come to the Burrow that year.
